Re-engagement rule

Haha i remember poor guy in S-13, trader who was stoped by Corsair...3 Mills, little later by Harvester...2 Mills. And another little while later, Outcast stoped him and asked for 3 Mills. Trader started shouting and shooting in his madness and got killed. So funny, paying 5 millions for passage and got killed and loosing cargo anyways:D

^^^^^^^^^^^err, how is that re-engagement?

If a trader is fired upon, and manages to escape - that is fleeing and he has to leave the system for 4 hours - but what if the pirate chases him into the next system. afaik, the 4hour rule no longer applies, as the opponent also left. I wasn't sure, so i didn't re-enter system. Could i have done so?

trader can come back over and over again and you can tax and kill him just as many times but dont be evil and camp the station where he is docked give him a alternative way out

Yes, traders "are immune" but, correct me if im wrong, the rules dont specifically say that.
