(Really, I speak terrible English, so please, tell me if I make mistakes. I'd like to improve it a bit )
Tournament Character: EvilTheBadger "Kill Frenzy" Character Name: EvilTheBadger
I doubt I'll stick around for the Kill Frenzy, not my scene especially with all you missile spammers :0D
On that note, I totally agree with all weapon restrictions apart from missiles, one is sufficient. It's pretty much a given missiles will connect at a certain range whereever you aim, in my opinion it detracts from the skill of a gunfight. I'm horribly biased of course because I hate missiles, but a single pod will do up to 4 times as much damage in one tracked hit than any untracked gun. That's 8 times when 2 are mounted, and more is harder to dodge / cm. I'm horribly biased but I thought this was a galaxy-wide tournament, not a "what suits Virus best" tournament :0P
I'm flying a Sabre for the Tournament. As for the Kill Frenzy thing, I planned to have a Liberty fighter... I even RPd it, maybe I'll change to another, 3 VHFs there, all of them having their own pros and cons...
Also, would love guns only but... most of the people do use missiles. I would also like no shield-killers... but.

no DO, 2 chars, one is a Sabre, the second has a choice of 3 Liberty (Police/Navy/LSF) fighters I narrowed it to be my choice (actually, 2 LSF and one Navy).

If I make it in time and I am there to use it, you'll also going to see my Eagle there.
BTW Badger, missiles are not impossible to dodge. As Korrd said. They can be dodged with skill, and therefor takes skill to shoot to hit. Just because your can't dodge them better then the other person can shoot them, doesn't make the overpowered.
Dab, you have to admit at close quarters no-one can dodge a missile attack, same for all tracking weps like torps or mines as cm's fire out the back of a ship. I figured that was the reason torps and mines were restricted. If you get within that certain range where the opponent's cm becomes useless, then it's a guaranteed hit. Sure, you can dodge a billion missiles if they're fired far enough away from you, that's not in question. If you think the level of skill required to fight against missiles is equivalent to fighting with, then I think you're mistaken.
