>Total Trade Blockade.
Its come to my attention that the following part of Liberty law has gone unnoticed by many traders for some time now.
Part 4, Section A, Paragraph 1
Quote:Liberty Texan total blockade
As our nation is currently at war with Rheinland, all trading traffic toward Rheinland or coming from it is now to be halted and turned back. Pilots attempting to break the blockade will be terminated on sight.
Options and Penalty - Part 5, Section C, Paragraph 5
Quote:The violator has the following choices:
-Drop the illegal goods to travel further
-Turn back in order to keep the goods. Failure to comply will result in death.
This blockade applies to all traders. Note that it doesn't matter where the cargo came from or where its going.
If a trader crosses the border with any trading cargo, they are in breech of this law.
Although embargo breakers aren't the Navy's primary objective, Rhienland-based traders are. If the Navy finds any Rhienland-based traders in Liberty, they will be asked to release their cargo and return to Rhienland.
This blockade will be enforced vigilantly by all law-enforcement agencies in Liberty. Anyone found breaking the blockade will be dealt with harshly.
Any further questions regarding the embargo can be made here, on this open channel.
What happens if a trader is just passing through to another system with legal cargo is the trader also in violation, Im asking because I use liberty systems to access other systems.
No traffic allowed between the two houses, no matter what cargo you got.
If you want to just move trough Liberty I suggest going around Liberty other then passing trough.
Paha, seems someone forgot to teach these guys the basics of economy...obviously, nothing Rheinland exports is of any use to Liberty...can't wait to see them fight a land war with no tanks...
Oh, and 'tis intriguing to see them supporting their enemy's war effort by turning back supplies..."liberated"...

Elgyn here,
this blockade is embarassing for the Liberty naval forces. While your house corporation traders are stired up by untalented pirates, you waste your time hanging around at Houston and waiting for some minnow which isn't subtle enough to use other ways to haul goods through your blockade.

Lt. Antonio Backus,
The laws have indeed changed. for the safety of our traders, we are preventing them from going into Rheinland Space whilst we are also blocking Rheinland traders from freighting cargo to our house as they may be hauling spies, dangerous materials, explosives, and such.

It also seems that your embargo is affecting our Zoner personnel on FP2 in Bering. Some seem to think that to to "prevent" us from going into Rheinland that we are to be stopped from going to the Freeport altogether. I think that snag needs to be worked out.

Hmmm... I don't know about this stance Liberty is taking. We in Kusari observe a kind overlook to Gaijin blokcade runners. If you're brave, lucky or downright dumb enough to break through Bretonian lines in an effort to bolster the Emperor's might, we see no need to infringe on that. Unless you're Bretonian, hauling restricted items, or dumb enough to be both. Some common sense on your officer's part is all it takes to see if they're bringing in any "spies" or sabotage equipment.
