' Wrote:Heh, NP, still servers as a good reference. I always forget about Small Arms, and are "combat vehicles' or whatever illegal as well? I never see anyone carrying them, so i don't know what the NPC's do.
Hmmm, neither do I. Small arms is a joint thing with =BSG= which makes sense RP wise. Combat vehicles, I'd think I'll leave for RM to decide since they're sold more on their turf.

Took the new destroyer for several shakedown cruises today, and I do believe she is ready for action. The kusari navy was visibly shaken and responded to the threat with no less than three Battleships with full escorts, I'm sorry to say that one may have gotten away. It was difficult to tell, what with all the fins and chunks of broken hull floating everywhere.
An excursion deep into the omegas proved less than fruitful, but I manage to spot some ships with prices on their heads...

Situation Report
Recent encounters with two prison liners carrying contraband cargo, one belonging to [IND] and the other a freelancer. Found carrying artifacts through Cambridge, both appeared unaware that artifacts are contraband and as such willingly relinquished their cargo. Have also encountered a Nomad Cruiser bearing Order ID tags (presumming captured from the nomads), actions of vessel questionable in that they complied with SF instructions at one point but before cloaking (logging off) was seen carrying Bretonian personnel, treat with caution.
Encounters with HF personnel in Cambridge continue, maintain KOS status due to their continued presence.
Continuing patrol duties in the Cambridge area.

Nomad attacks continue in the Unknown and outer Omicron sectors. Recent weapons change appears more effective in combating them but their ships keep coming. Discussions opened with RM personnel regarding nomad licensing and the acquiring of nomad containment units awaiting response from their upper command levels. Monitoring heavy comm traffic from O-5 and reports of continued attacks by a Corsair pilot. Battlegroup Excaliber will continue attempts to protect traders through the area with the goal being to distract the pilot while the traders make their run through the area.

Defense against Kusari fighters in Leeds continues as well as attacks against Kusari Battlegroups in Tau-31. Despite inflicting heavy losses their battlegroups continue to press on Planet Harris and Holman Outpost.
Continuing to press-on.

Continuing trade route from Cambridge to New Berlin. Flights uneventful except for a PLH blasting away an unknown transport before jumping through the Omega-7 jumpgate, obviously didn't like waiting in line. Once on the other side, the PLH fighter was no where to be seen and continued on my way.

Recently lost all engine power and was forced to jettison our entire cargo hold in order to escape Cambridge's atmosphere (in other words spawned on the planet :(). However, SF's weapons stockpile is returning slowly. With recent events until the engineer can guarantee no further engine problems Fort Knox will remained moored at Cambridge rather than in orbit.

A Cambridge fighter squadron reports two ships lost yesterday.
One pilot assigned Templar Echo2 was killed instantly by a Corsair tagged Rheinland bomber, presumably by Nova antimatter cannons.
The replacement pilot later accidentally flew into his own missiles during combat in Omega 5 and lost his ship, but ejected safely.
It can be assumed that in the face of new threats, fighter and bomber squadrons will be seeing increased losses. Our insurance premiums also seem to be increasing alarmingly with the number of damaged and destroyed ships.

Engaged Phantom Cruiser Dalamar in Tau 31. The Phantom Huegenot seemed to be ill equipped for facing a fleet battleship and was quickly disabled.
Unfortunately, engagement with the Kusari fleet drew us away from the location of the critically damaged vessel. On return to the site, the ship was gone, probably recovered by Phantom retrieval ships.
Three Kusari Battleships, six Destroyers and four fighters were also destroyed.

Detected Phantom ship Darkstar on long range scanners. Briefly pursued in Omicron Minor when requested to by Black Squadron.
Fired one Cruise Disruptor that was obviously out of range after entering Omicron Delta. At that point a spacetime anamoly occurred.
Hope to be able to pick up the pursuit later, although the Darkstar sadly seems more interested in running away than facing the Exeter.
Corsair Gunboat Ahrotahn warned about Nomad transportation ban.

Phantom ship Darkstar was again detected by Exeter and queried regarding a previous transmission to Admiral Firebird. Darkstar responded in the affirmative but confirmed that a challenge would have no bearing on that.
A scan revealed a large number of Liberty hostages on Darkstar so Exeter moved to engage.
Tertiary turrets on the Exeter opened fire at approximately 1300 metres, Darkstar returning fire with Inferno cannons. Exeter responded with Inferno batteries and the battle was joined in earnest. Exeter was able to evade some of the shield damaging inferno fire from Darkstar, which immediately responded by closing the distance to under 500m. Close range, the Darkstar was able to drop the shields of Exeter but now appeared to be low on power.
Exeter successfully dropped the shields of Darkstar and opened fire with Battle Razors, vaporising armour panels from the Osiris. Globules of high density armour spouted from both ships as high energy beams lanced into their hulls.
Darkstar drove ahead and past Exeter. We turned as quickly as possible to pursue, unleashing cruise disruptors in case the enemy dreadnaught was attempting to flee.
Once again the Phantom ship came under the full force of Exeter's arsenal, and being in a vulnerable position now, she was soon disabled. The prisoners held aboard were successfully rescued and returned to Cambridge system.
With the possibility of to much paperwork from vaporising the entire Phantom fleet, and with negotiations in the offing, direct confrontation was avoided outside Cambridge afterwards.

Recent engagements with [X]-Vlad have warranted placing him on the SF freelancer wanted list. Continue offering assistance to traders passing through the Omega's (good show Sunergos). If destruction of pirate groups isn't possible delay them enough to allow the traders through than withdraw.

A bomber pilot based in Cambridge reports that a Helghast ship was chased to New London jumpgate earlier.
Outcast tagged ship [Table]ornament was asked to leave system as it appeared to be causing concern amoungst friendly vessels.
Rheinland bomber Skylancer then attacked and destroyed SFF-Beta3 in an unprovoked attack.
