His parents divorced in 796, after the death of his sister, Julia, which caused a rift in the relationship as each blamed themselves for the accident. After the death of his mother in 806, he moved to Freeport 4 and worked alongside his father in the IMG. In 808, his father moved to work in the Taus, first at Java and then Falkland, and Will acquired a job shuttling people and delivering supplies, primarily from Planet Cambridge.
This later led to a career in cardamine smuggling, primarily supplying a Lane Hacker codenamed Eskaluur. This continued for 2 years, until a violent incident made Will persona non gratis with the Hackers. At this point, he contacts on Cambridge suggested he put his mining experience to use, and he went to work with the Gaians on Islay. This continued until approximately 812, when the IMG began operations on Pecos, in Coronado, and he again joined his father working for the Guild. Three years after, he found his way back to the Gaians and began work there, in a quest to make up for what he sees as his youthful mistakes.

Aliases: Grosser K?rbis
DOB: 12/1/774
Gender: Male
Height: 5'6"
Nationality: Rheinlandic
Place of Origin: Planet Stuttgart
Political Affiliations: WVS member, Stuttgart Association of Restaurateurs
Occupation: Chef, pilot
Ships spotted in: Behemoth
Family: Linda K?rbis, wife
Overview:
Karl lived and worked with his family on Stuttgart. When he was old enough, he became an apprentice to a successful Chef who taught him well. Eventually, just after the Nomad War, he opened his own Restaurant: Karl's Diner (he was there for cooking, not name thinking). His culinary style could best be described as primarily Rheinlandic with a Kusari infusion influence. The restaurant was successful but due to the rising costs of fresh local foods (a big draw for the place), he was forced to sell it. It became a bar specializing in Synth Paste and Beer, much to his dismay.
At this point, he figured he didn't have much else to lose, so he took the proceeds from the sale, traded in his Humpback, and purchased a Behemoth. He then went to his old friend, Wenzel Ranis, and ended up working with the LWB on Darmstadt. His wife currently lives in Saar, where he also serves as a bartender (when he is not on a mission).

Place of Origin: Planet Cambridge
Political Affiliations: Green Front
Occupation: Student, political activist

Overview:
Dan McKay was born on Cambridge to a long line of Gaian sympathizers. His Father and Grandfather both secretly supplied the Gaians with weapons and engine components. They would recruit transport pilots to bring the supplies and, often times, attempt to recruit them to join the Gaians outright. This installed a strong belief in Dan.
He attended Cambridge University, earning a degree in Gaian Ecology and Biology. He began further study into the matter, hoping to follow in his mother's footsteps. After a year of study, Dan was to work as an intern with Padraig McFadden, a lawyer working with the Green Front. This went awry when the man could not be found for some time. In the meantime, Dan ran into legal trouble when he was blackmailed and forced to flee. Upon returning, though, he found McFadden and was offered the chance to work on the Windbirds' Refuge, a modified, old mining ship whose goal was to free the Gaian Wildlife cruelly plucked from the planet's surface. Overview:
Ichiro was born on Planet Junyo in 727, merely a hundred years after its major fishing industry began. The combination of Samura's success and Kusari's long held pride led him to enlist in the Naval Forces as soon as he was able (plus, fishing isn't much fun for the excitable, youthful type). Things started off well - he quickly learned how to pilot his Drake; They soon turned, sour, unfortunately. Approximately six months into his service, a fellow Drake flying alongside him lost control and crashed into the side of Ichiro's ship. As they were on a routine patrol near Kyushu at the time, Ichiro, his ship's controls damaged by the crash, plunged into the atmosphere. He awoke later in the hospital, learning that his right foot had to be amputated. This last bit also led to a medical discharge.
There were some positives from all of this. The other pilot, feeling guilty, called in some favors and got Ichiro a job with Samura. He worked his way up the corporate ladder, beginning as an assistant pilot on a Drone and ending up in command of a Ryuujin class Kusari Train, the Kunashir. Throughout his travels with Samura, he put roots down in several places: On Kurile, where he was often assigned shipments; On Junyo, where had grown up; On the Hawaii, where he found a good deal of relaxation; And, finally, on Kyushu, where he chose to settle his family.
Unfortunately, all was not well with his family life. After settling on Kyushu, marrying, and having a son, tragedy struck in the form of a vicious attack. Ichiro had brought his wife along on a mission to the Taus for Samura. When they arrived, the convoy was ambushed by Outcast. His wife, Izumi, was injured in this event and later died from her wounds. Ichiro managed to survive, but he blamed himself and, increasingly, the Outcasts for this.
On the bright side, his son, who was serving in the Naval Forces, was married shortly after this event. This brought some joy to Ichiro's life. It increased even more when his first grandson, Junichiro, was born. This continued when his granddaughter, Miharu, was born four years later. Of course, things change, and this was no different. Izumi contracted the Sprague Plague and died from complications in 813, and Junichiro followed two years later in the war against Bretonia. This, combined with Miharu's apparent embracing of the Golden Chrysanthemum's ideals, was too much for Ichiro. He finally resigned from Samura in 817 (after nearly 70 years of service) and began to try and fix Kusari by joining the Farmers Alliance. While originally neither a farmer nor a Kyushan, their goals to straighten out Kusari hit home with him.
Miharu was born on Planet Kyushu where she lived with her parents, grandfather, and brother. All were very much patriotic, her father and brother serving in the military. Her mother, however, wanted Miharu to have the best education she could. Considering Kusari's stance on women, she realized it would not be there. An outstanding student, she was able to secure a place at a University on Manhattan. She graduated quicker than average with a degree in Genetics, after which she applied to and was accepted at Cambridge University. The men in the family did not approve of such things, but she continued onward.
She continued her education and graduated with a further degree in Xenobiology. She hoped to return to Kusari and end up a Doctor, but luck was not on her side. She began to work with Samura to get practical experience. She hoped to work on Planet Kurile studying the Alien Organisms found there. Unfortunately, all she was able to manage was working as a junior pilot. This setback caused her to fully embrace the Golden Chrysanthemum movement.
