don't know what else to do. Mon'Star is a loner most of the time. if all bombers began doing this to me then i'd have to start running from them like i do battleships...which to me is preposterous.
or i could wait around and get my daily serving of gank...hehe

I know firsthand that there are some pretty rule violation-hungry sharks in Discovery's waters. It seems that to some people the primary goal of being here is to roleplay just enough to be able to go around finding people that are breaking rules in any capacity and then immediately report them.
I also think that some of the rules here invite this sort of behavior, and that the "can't cruise during combat or you're running' is one of them. Plus it's stupid, it makes no sense that a pilot would not use a functioning component of his ship because he's in a fight.
Thrust, enginekill, turn back, fire. I use that a lot to get into distance from meaningless battles and I don't cruise. So aftersome time, USUALLY, me and the attacker realize that we are killing time and continue playing normally.
when you are engaged in pvp avoid cruise, period. there were threads like that over year ago - and the agreement was that ... in a "mature" enviroment. - someone "realizes" the pointlessness of the engagement and leaves ... voluntarily.
but the one that leaves ( no matter if thrusting out of radar range or engaging cruise ) is retreating and MUST leave the system as soon as possible ( which means - on the shortest way possible into a public system... or dock with a friendly base )
yes - it might sound unfair - a light fighter can CD a battleship and "dance" around it at a range of 5k ... never to be hit. - when the battleship is frustrated he can always "retreat" - but we favour small ships here on disco.
in "extreme" cases - it could possibly be a "disruption of gameplay" - but that is a rule that is very much up to interpretation. - a stalemate is also not a clear case. - two heavy fighter aces battle each other.... for 1 hour straight. - after 1 hour, one pilot had tremendous fun, the other is bored to hell. - the bores player leaves ... of COURSE it is retreating....
and just cause you re a loner doesn t mean the rules can be modified. the knock-out argument for warships was "get escorts" - your RP says that you can t. - but that is also the case with countless other players that simply have to fly alone - yet they cannot retreat without the 4 hours rule.
it was said in other threads - ships of cruiser and battleship size are mostly defensive. - a single bomber that simply annoys you isn t a violation as such, as long as he activly tries to fight you the way he s supposed to do - he is gtg.
one single bomber CAN harm a battleship or cruiser. - all it needs is inferno+SN and a very accurate timing.
My advice right now is to enlist some help to fight the bomber, then promptly shoot the help once it's done. Lure them in with promises of riches:P
Longer term would be for the Necrosis to be sold with 2 specifically anti-fighter/bomber guns attached. Much like the cruiser forward gun. No one else would have the gun, just the Necrosis.

I think the various thruster speeds of the ships are part of the balance. Cruise messes that balance up.
Bombers are meant to take down cap ships with ease. Note how I said bombers and not a single bomber. A flight of bombers can obliterate any cap ship if they work together.
This is just stupid, though. Move in and pound him to dust.
"THE HULL HAS BEEN BREACHED AND THESCIENCEIS LEAKING OUT!"
To be fair, it's called 'flying interference' for a reason. If you're pinned in place by a single fighter, he's doing his job well. If you're not patient enough, well, that's tough luck I'm afraid. Sometimes it's just pure willpower that's needed to win.
