It is supposed to be a transport that trades off cargo space for very good protection, the way i see it, though i do believe the cruiser sheild should become a gunboat one. And the price should rise. Apart from that, i have no quarms with the Liner. After all, VIP's are more important than your average passenger and alien organism.

I think it could also stand to keep the Cruiser shields, but have a couple of weapon slots increased to cruiser status, and actually designated a light cruiser

Light cruiser would have a cargo hold of around 600 then, you can't have it both ways guys ...
