Situation Report:

Nomadic completed its run to New Berlin to obtain the final shipment of high temperature alloy, construction materials and engine components for the design of the planetary defense shield. Pirate vessel [X]-Vlad was detected on long range sensors...unknown whether ship was attempting to intercept transport or not but with an altered route no encounter was made.

[X]-Vlad appeared to have tracked the Nomadic back into Cambridge where the Magnificent proceed to engage the pirated bomber. Bomber succeeded in avoiding most fire and was able to significantly drain both shields and armor, with the bomber's shields being repeatedly drained then recharged (OOC: how many full recharges can that thing do? lol). However, some well placed Battle Razors managed to destroy the vessel. Several Bretonian pilots were rescued from the wreckage.

Greetings, my brethren in Cambridge. Times are hard these days, with crime and terrorism rampant.

Although no formal agreements have been made before, I am now officially asking you to sign a pact of alliance, or at least, mutual agreement with the Southern Alliance of Liberty Space. There has been an understood, even though invisible treaty between our two factions, and I, representing the interests of the SA, would like you to join us in this mutual pact.

The agreements of the pact are as follows.

1) The Southern Alliance(From now on the SA) and the Sirius Federation(From now on the SF) will agree to a perpetual and binding alliance in which both parties will respond to the aggressors of one or of the other party. In such a case where both parties are being threatened by different aggressors, both parties shall engage in the non-discriminating elimination of all the aggressors that pose a threat to either party.

2) Members of the SA will be allowed to travel into SF controlled space without hindrance. Members of the SF will be allowed to travel into SA controlled space without hindrance. Hindrance is defined here as no demands to stop and no scanning without the permission of the party in question.

3) Members of the SA will assist SF operations within SF controlled Space if asked, and if those operations are taking place within a range of 15K. If and only if there is a dire and pressing issue at hand, can this be voided.

5) If and when the SF is in any part of SA controlled space and participating in an operation carried out by the SA, the any SF member will be regarded at a very respected, but subservient member of the party. Unless the operation is a joint operation, SA Commanding Officers will retain their roles as commanding officers, the SF officers will act merely as advisors and participants.

6) If and when the SF is in any part of SA controlled space, the SF may choose to carry out its normal duties or not to do so. If and when the SF will carry out its normal duties in SA controlled space, all regulations and policies laid out by the SF are null and void. If and when members of SF choose to carry out these duties, they will comply with the Modus Operandi of the SA.

Sierra was damaged, possibly crippled by an engagement of TBF and Skylanzer. Southampton Shipyard is working on repairs now.

Sierra was engaged when refusing to pay a tax to Skylanzer (in Cambridge). Commendations go to FGS Sunburst, Bs|Dboy, two BSG ships, and a PMG ship who all volunteered to help out.

ADDED: several other ships came in to kill skylanzer, but as far as I know, hadn't hit him (I was forced to fix some computer issues after that. It crashes every time I enter a new system).

I just wanted to clear something up. Due to personal reasons involving identity in other multiplayer gaming issues, I modified my name to make it unique; it was <strike>Skylancer</strike> but I'm now Skylanzer, I hope this ties up missing links about my attacks to your fleet. As to those same attacks, I don't think they will stop anytime soon, unless you are reasonable enough to pay my tax fee multiple times in different occasions, which may turn your current reputation with me from 'red' to 'white'. Failure to do so will result in increased efforts to destroy all SF in the server and no mercy from my part. Also, be careful with those alliances. You have many friends but a good friend always looks up for the best way to help the other, and you are dragging others into your fight with me which will cause them to suffer for you as well. Think before you let your fleet roam; your next move could be your last. Cambridge will be liberated from corrupt SF and BSG, the same 'protectors' that allowed other enemies to MOX-Bomb Planet Cambridge, killing thousands upon thousands of innocents. When we, the Corsairs, take over things like that will not happen.

The proposal is reasonable.

Item 2 - no scanning without the permission of the party in question...sry but certain situations ask for scanning of cargo even on friendly or allied vessels (example, see a BSG or even another SF carrying a full load of cardamine definitely need to ask what's up).

Item 3 - sounds alright since we would be acting in a defensive capacity in those operations, suggest range of in-system to keep it simple.

Rest seems agreeable, although be nice to see a complete description and the Modus Operandi in the faction status pinned post (i figure your info is already on the forum but in separate posts and burried, please save me and others time by placing it together in the pinned post).

For now, SA will be on friendly terms with the SF. Operate within our guidelines and act in a beneficial way then an alliance seems appropriate. For now, forgive me if I wait and see the actions of your members before giving complete access to Bretonia.

Extortion seems an appropriate tactic for a pirate, rest assured the mox attack on Cambridge will be the last. And as for the Corsairs taking over Cambridge, think you first need to deal with a certain Hessian base in Omega-5 before that can occur. How long has that base been a thorn in the Corsair's side I wonder? The SF will continue its role of protecting traders through the Omegas. We will not back down nor negotiate at the point of a gun.

Sirs, that is completely acceptable. If the SF require aid at any time, we would be glad to assist. While the SF may proceed in scanning SA ships, I can also assure you that the SA will not do so. We have complete confidence and trust in the integrity of SF members.

In addition, my proposal of this alliance was sparked by blatant threats from the HellFire Legion. While the SA has vouch for peace for some time now, they launched a heinous attack on civilian targets on Planet Los Angeles yesterday. I cannot stand by and allow them to do such things.

I hope that the SF will assist the SA not because of our alliance, but for the perservation of peace in our sociey.

Remember, the world is evil because good men linger and do nothing.

Corsairs have been after Cambridge for a while now, the bulk of their fleet is tied up defending the Nomad advance in Omicron Delta. As it stands they have a limited fighter presence in Cambridge as an extended patrol from Omega-5. Their actions come as no surprise. Case of a Corsair hotshot trying to prove himself to the Dons.
