Far as I can see, I'll need a Freelancer IFF though (Which I've tried getting back for hours, and still haven't managed to get. Double bribe didn't do the trick >.<).

Players using the Pirate ID must have either an unlawful tag or freelancer tag
Sigh.
I didnt see that.
Still it doesn't change the fact that you need to build relationships within your character.
Don't just assume everyone out there is friendly.
... I... This is annoying. OP, gah...
I got sucked into rule lawyering.
Gameplay isn't simple anymore.
Just use you flipping head and enjoy the game instead of looking for damn loopholes.
*stalks off*

We have just reached the point of the topic. Here, I'll show yas
Bucket is you?
No, of course Bucket is Bucket
Anyway, Pirating with Pirate ID and Freelancer IFF is absolutely legal, its even mentioned in the ID.
I use the Freelancer IFF/Pirate ID Combo on my LRF, however 6/10 times i am casually called a "Freelancer" by either Indy Navy, Pirates or some other bugger who wants to shoot something.
I must now take the opportunity to STRESS TO PEOPLE NOT TO LOOK AT THE IFF ALONE AND ASSUME IT'S A FREELANCER BUT LIKELY A PIRATE WITH A FREELANCER IFF!
