I have a Hyena, I played around with it a bit and I like it, but it is lagging behind alot! I needs to be super fast at mauvering if it's gonn have only 3 guns and a Turret. Either that, or make its cargo hold higher *its 44 right now, which is 9 higher then the original Bloodhound*
My choice would be too make it have higher armour of all things, if it were to get changed.
Also, where can I get a hold of a MK 2 Wolfhound.... I was SURE there was one in the mod already.
@Quint: See my post, one page back. IMHO the Werewolf (wolfhound mkII) is a vastly superior ship than the Hyena in all respects.... I swear it even turns much faster.
=== SPOILER ===
Find the Werewolf at the Molly base in Newcastle (can't recall its name:P)... the one in the gas cloud, not the one at the end of the trade route.
@OsoRojo; The point was the frigate shouldn't be able to stand toe-to-toe with the battleship. It wasn't made for that. It was made to be something in between the BS and cruiser. It should have something like 325k hull, then they have heavier weaponry than cruisers, and are smaller than the battleship. Look at both frigates. Very hard targets for a BS. Both have very skiny middle sections good for dodging. They also have enough firepower to kill a cruiser, and good enough to fight off fighters, instead of a stalemate of neither being able to hurt the other. A frigate plus a cruiser can kill a BS. Either by itself shouldn't be able to.
(If you find any mistake in my English, please let me know via a PM)
(Really, I speak terrible English, so please, tell me if I make mistakes. I'd like to improve it a bit )
Yeah, certain fighter turrets are better than transport turrets (not spoiling the names), so the transport turrets are useless. They have lower damage than most high-level fighter turrets. Only thing going for them is range.

This would hold if I was using heavy weapons, like lvl 10 razors and Infernos. However, I was killing them with lvl 9 (2 razor and 2 infernos, its wasn't the shield doing it. The shield just gave me a little more time), which can be done by cruiser and they have thruster and lvl 9 shield. So by your logic, are ya going to reduce the effectiveness of the cruiser, as well, by removing thruster?
It saddens me that at every turn a stratgem or manuver is created by a player in keeping with rules and the consensus of the community is to repress the intiative. It feels like the life is being sucked out of the game.
Sincerely

P.S. curious did the versions before 4.82 have the frigates with same configuration before 4.83 change?
Addendum: in addition my control configuration had a large part to play in my victories. I am able to rock and roll between types so can bring my weapons to bear quick as situation demands.Overall, it wasn't all the ship that destroyed the percious Bs, but the pilot as well. To be honest the 2 10lvl slots are more of an albatross around a Frigate's neck.
' Wrote:Frigate is neither a cruiser nor a battleship. It's something in-between. Cruiser power supples are now 1400 thousand, and Battleship supplies are 7 million, while frigates have 2-3 million. Conclusion: they are best fit for good Cruiser weapons, NOT for battleship weapons, however, limited quantity of battleship turrets can be used.
My fear has been confirmed. It wasn't until the Liberty Assualt Firgate was used effectively that the change was instituted. I am truly saddened by the revelation.

P.S. I am curious, instead of redesigning or slapping a regulation to meet a preconcieved notion. Why does the community not instead look for an out-of-the box and creative way to defeat my strategy as I had done to theirs? Adapt and overcome.
