Yeh sure, but I gotta make it quick. Laundry is almost done dontcha know.
Ah. I think the liner system is kinda busted. The liner tag on IDs is troublesome to code, keep track of and sort of makes everyone angry.
I understand why it was put in place, in 4.84 liners were used a lot because they're sort of like cruisers with cargo space. Chances are you wont be able to kill them before they can dock unless you're packing some heat. Which is why you saw 432894832904832904823908492308492308493248320482390482390 in Sigma 13 moving mineral goods about.
I don't really have a firm stance on if that's a problem or not. A tough shell on a ship roughly the size of a cruiser with reduced cargo space is a pretty ok theory I suppose.
What I'm wondering about it a means by which to circumvent the desire various parties have to acquire them without bugging those lazy bums who squat on the admin team. ZAS, Cryer and other such groups who're looking to snatch one up but cannot due to ID restrictions and the like.
Personally I think it makes more sense to remove the ID line and treat the ships like anything else on the tech chart. OSC controlled lux liners and so on. So if ZAS wants a lux liner they don't have to ask Hoodlum, they have to ask PanGalactic.
Not gonna tip my hand on what handle I think the others should use (Prison/Slave/Bret/Lux/Technically Kusari) or what would become of them as I'd rather hear your screaming rants.
So that's my two cents. Gonna get my unmentionables and my cat out of the dryer. Let me know what you people think.
Right.... Not saying they can't be killed people with low reading comprehension. I'm saying that they've got a healthy set of HP which increases their sphere of survival which is an attractor.
ZAS~ has their SRP now, and honestly, I cannot be bothered waiting over 9000 years for a response from the next person I have to ask. (I mean, I think you can give me that, since your ID restriction combined with excellent SRP response time pretty much killed off the ZAS~.)
