Solution for F1 abuse.

It's a good idea, but after thinking about it for some minutes, I have to ask a simple question: Is it really worth it?

People abuse the F1 to get away from player interaction, and we have one simple rule that stops them from doing so, or gets them hammered if they do it anyways. Now, with this new command you're suggesting, there will be half a dozen new ways of abusing an ingame command added to the mod, and half a dozen of new rule to stop people from randomly /halting people and such.

So why fix what is not broken? If someone F1s, report him and he'll learn not to do it again when he looses 50 times more than what the pirate was going to ask him for.

I like the idea of being able to disable the ability to use F1 when other players are in range. This would mean that if other players are on your scanners, then you cannot use F1 at all. If you genuinely lose connection then the other player will definitely know that you have lost connection. Not sure if this is possible though.

same could be used if anyone you RP with and is "halted" has an emerg (so he can say before and get a "un-halt")

just make the range of the green message 15k (I'm sure it is less cause I saw peps several times F1 in scanner range but I got no green message)

[color=#000000]The idea is very nice but I think it wont be based on players willing because I am well sure that there will be a lot of lolwuts who spam with that command in a pvp fight. So the best choice is something like that what Bear sad before...for me just for sure.

If I remember correctly, the F1 message range was increased from 6k to 15k a while ago (After hoards of F1ing miners disconnecting as soon as someone red popped on their scanners), but I've seen people with high packet loss lagging out without giving out a green message, but that's when they warp off the screen cause of the loss, which is before their actual disconnect, so when they finally loose connection, they'll be some 30k away which means they wont technically be in your scanner range when they go poof, so... no green message.

If you had politely told the peeps chasing you and they actually believe you, nothing happens. If they don't, you still kapoof from the game, and the peeps chasing you get their blue msg.

Akuras idea so far looked best for me, but why not simply increase the "hanging in space" time to 2 or 3 minutes without any command?
