Second, he's protecting nomads, and talking to them, and doing all sorts of weird stuff.

This is Alvin and Dieter's realm, but I'll say something so they're aware. I have noticed Dashwood posting reports in the Privateer's Bay on the message dump forum as well. I wasn't sure if he had moved over or is just misdirected. I'm guessing the latter now.

Me here. Once again.

So right. I logged today and found BAF|Ens.D...D... So as always, I proceeded to shoot him and managed to shoot him down. And as always I taunted Molly victory system wide and the got something along these lines: "//I almost shot you down. You were lucky" then followed "//newbie" and "//l2p:)" as well as "// I could report you for no RP".

I don't have screens since server crashed after that. However I do have logs.
So please, fix his behaviour. This ain't first time said person does stupid things.

Instead of QQing at you about him, or sanctionlancer, we go for in-rp consequences, thinking, "Oh, this will be nice, SMI can have some fun, i really liked the IND trial and stuff," and instead, we get wtfpwned with an announcement of a FREAKIN MILITARY DICTATORSHIP.

You obviously don't know what happened in the IND trial. Suffice to say, it wasn't a great example to use.

As for this, Bretonia is in war, you were accusing an Armed Forces officer of committing an illegal act, and were taking it to civil court. Since his actions, if your allegations were true, were criminal actions, you should be reporting his actions and any evidence you hold to the legal offices of the BPA and BAF, where they can pursue a court martial. Civil courts are not used for investigating criminal acts, even if the accused was a civilian, and not a military soldier.

Don't forget that this is wartime we're in, and the admiralty, in-RP, would have the authority to disregard civil court motions against members of the Armed Forces in the interest of preventing malicious claims meant to disrupt the Armed Force's activities.

Your best course of action would be to contact BPA directly, with evidence in hand, and attempt to get them to launch an investigation into the matter. This of course means they will investigate -both- parties, you and the accused.

Simple answer.

When faced with the possibility of having to establish a legal system for Bretonia, in order to allow for criminal and civil proceedings to occour, it was deemed too time consuming for the Admiralty to deal with.

We have zero desire to mediate a dispute in this fashion, the none of us have the time to do so. This meant, upon agreement, that Summary Justice will be the only in game method of justice in Bretonia. (This is not done to stifle RP, but to avoid undue and unneeded paperwork.)

Since you are attempting to try a BAF officer, in a civil court situation. As Dab has stated, the Admiralty has the right to shut it down.

Do you know that there is a real life law preventing anyone from suing military forces in a time of war?

Well consider this law in effect for Bretonia. It will be entered into the Bretonian legal codex as soon as possible, to prevent this from being an issue in the future.
