' Wrote:Hm, after reading the first 4 pages.... I am disappointed at how irp situations are dealt with OORPly.
This is the first roleplay community in which irp actions very often are "solved" by oorp means and while doing that, often result in oorp conflict.
I think the incident at hand is nothing too serious, it should be treated as an opportunity to roleplay a solution, not ask a million of oorp question, add accusations and guesses, then argue about things that have no real relevancy for the game.
Let Snak find out who the guy is and let them clear the matter IRP.
It's not a great deal.
It's not relevant to anybody but the IC and the Rhineland counterpart.
So why is this (again) blown out of all proportion if it is a simple thing?
And, on a sidenote: IC is rather new, they seem to me in the process of forming. Who has ever succeeded to be perfect in the first attempt? So... mistakes may happen.
Just roleplay the consequences, OORP behind the scene with the involved parties, make sure this OORP conversation is professional and friendly... and enjoy the irp game.
Jack, who thinks that conflict roleplay is the real roleplay... but who sees mainly OORP hate resulting from any attempt to do political or problem roleplay.
I wrote previously I would take this to PM but this is just plain wrong and cannot go without response.
There is no OORP hate and please stop assuming such things, if anything you are accomplishing here is providing others with a false view of the situation.
The situation is the following: The IC initially formed an argument that this Moscow is not a member of their Faction and as such they should not be subject to any consequences made by said character on behalf of the IC as a whole. I initially followed the notion that they should deal with this in Role-Play but knowing that if consequences would happen the first thing that would happen would be a bombardment of the RM Feedback complaining about this particular issue, else they wouldn't have brought it up to begin with.
Now I played ball and investigated the issue more and found nothing but inconsistencies everywhere and have personally decided to just ignore this mess of misinformation and proceeded to assume he is an employee of the IC and the in-RP consequences will apply based on that ground.
' Wrote:Well. All I wanted with this thread was to get to know who is IC|Moscow. We can see how people make into something of a bigger problem.
Yes as innocent as that may be you still formed "He's not a member of our faction so no consequences please" arguments of which I mentioned previously so please do not victimize yourself in this manner. I know that if we would have immediately jumped to the conclusion that he was an employee regardless of your words we would expect a nice message in our Feedback and this discussion would just happen there instead of here. Therefore it was better if we cleared it out right here and now before we decide on the actions in Role-Play so we can refer to this thread and the inconsistencies of informations provided which will serve as our main argument when we do execute those consequences.
' Wrote:THis thread will be used for RP reasons? Are you crezi?
Please do not put words into my mouth. I said this thread will be used as our arguments for ignoring your "OORP" arguments that he is not a member of your Faction and as such you shouldn't be subject to the consequences he has caused for your Faction. Something I do expect you to come with in our Feedback once we are done forming the fines.

Oh. Okey. Misunderstood you. Don;t get so defensive. It shows bla bla bla, right?:)

It shows everything we need to know about the situation and please cut out the passive-aggressiveness, it won't serve you any good.
On behalf of the RM faction we are done on this OORP level and do not need any more explanations about Moscow, your Faction will deal with the aftershock of his actions. In other words, we are done here.
A simple question: Who is the player IRPly "responsible" for roleplaying the Rhineland part in this incident?
Because this is the only person that should be involved in this except the faction leaders of IC and the IC|Moskow player.
Snak3, if I were you, I'd ask for this thread to be closed. There is no sense in it. It's imho trial by forum (assumedly pointing out mistakes made), unnecessary, disruptive and it adds nothing to the game but OORP controversy.
Honestly Jack, i think you are kind of too late. This thread had a purpose for Snak3 to find out who the pilot of the IC vessel was, and for a pilot of the [RM] that was part of this "problem" to get additional infos about it.
There is no need to lock it since there is nothing more to say about it. Everything else will be only roleplay following what happened in game. Nothing more, nothing less.
