(Btw I do understand the rules, considering its against the rules to have an unequipped ID and more than 1 ID...
I am pretty certain its a big no no, yet we all know people do it... so... oppinions?)
Quote:6.3 Carrying multiple different types of IDs in a player ship is prohibited.
If you want to wander around with a cargo hold full of the same ID that you have, feel free to do so. As JayDee said, some factions HAVE to give others their ID's, because there's no other way to get them.
However, since the second ID cannot be mounted while in space, the person that you DO give the new ID to needs to dock immediately so he can mount it and get rid of the old one. Flying from, say, Crete back to Freeport 11 so that the ID could be switched would be a bad thing.

That being said, best and probably only place to give another player an ID would be conn

You can also undock with no ID at all. You get nerfed down to 10%, but that's one way of doing it.

Not really, anywhere near a base is fine...
Or stocking player bases with them should also be
fine, aslong as it makes inRP sence for the base to have
that ID...:)
