As someone who's flying a KuEx in Kusari:
The Ahoudori is a flying target with the maneuverability of an elephant on valium. Anyone <strike>can</strike> will hit you
without any trouble. No need to nerf it. 'Nuff said.
No offense, but i've seen quite a few threads with the same topic. The Ahoudori is for the gunboats what the
Spatial is for the fighters. Their best defence is skill. And this thread reminds me of those Spatial Q_Q threads
which can be reduced to this:
Player 1 have spend long time in training with ship X.
Player 2 gets pounded by ship X.
Player 2 Q_Qing about ship X and demand a nerf.
This is the wrong way people! Don't try to castrate other people's skill by nerfing their ships, only cuz it safes you
time. Try the opposite way. Get better with your own ships or don't fly alone.
For the record: Ahoudori's possession of 7 turrets might be impressive on the wiki. But in practice, you
fire effectively with 6. Turret 7 points backwards. You can fire it straight forward, but that turret has to turn in
that direction first. And since no player with any trace of basic PvP knowledge will stand still, you fire effectively
with only 6 turrets.
Spatial is another thing entirely and can't be used as comparsion. Basically, spatial versus any vhf = dead spatial, but kuex versus any gb = outcome is at least not that certain.
If the KuEx is overpowered... What do you think of the Scorpion? With 5000 hull damage/s nomnom turrets? And more hull than a KuEx? And as agile as a big bomber, with 8 full 360 degree firing turrets?

Balanced because it's only available to members of a closed faction and you don't see everyone and their brother flying one.
There is nothing wrong with the KusEx. People had issue with the use of Zoner GB turrets on them, this issue had some merit because Zoner GB turrets were balanced for use on the old Zoner GB not the current one. They weren't re-balanced because the development team didn't think it would be an issue. Then people began noticing they could use generic IDs and use Zoner weapons freely so they did. This issue has been adjusted some what by generic IDs being white to Zoners now. I wouldn't put it past the development team to re-balance the turrets in 4.86 either.

That doesn't make it any less OP, and it doesn't mean it should be unbalanced either. But that's been discussed countless times, it doesn't belong here.
@Hielor but stat wise, do you think the Scorp is more overpowered than the KuEx?
@Daedric I think that the Zoner Turrets are well balanced by their energy sucking ability. Using 4 sucks energy from even the biggest GBs let alone 7 on a KuEx. Though I do understand if they get nerf'd a tad, I really don't think they need much, if any, of a nerf. (maybe some bias in there)
