The rules for the Feedback Thread are quite simple:
Q: Do you have a complaint/advice for a specific IMG| member?
A: Send a pm to this account and we will take care of it. Keep in mind that IMG| attracts many new players and even though we continuously try to help them, sometimes mistakes can happen.
Q: Do you have a complaint/suggestion/question of how IMG| handles situations, about diplomacy, etc ?
A: Then you should reply in this thread. However keep in mind that if the discussion becomes off-topic or ends up having offensive posts then we will ask for a moderator to delete those replies. We won't ask to lock the thread and possibly keep away people who want to contribute their constructive criticism but we also won't show leniency.
I play the Freelancer character "A.Harsh.Mistress" and built up some ties with the IMG, gave some escorting services and had good RP with them, certain members. Now, today I came across another group of players of your faction and tried to RP with them, while they were fighting off pirates. I was ignored, utterly.
My Greeting were ignored (okay, they fought), my offer for help was ignored (the pirates were outnumbered and one was shot down, however one got away and he also managed to kill another IMG, so help was not that inappropriate), my little taunt on letting a pirate flee easily was ignored and finally, my goodbye also remained unnoticed. Another BHG player joined the scene shortly after, she got at least a response to her aid offer. A polite refusal would have made me felt much better than complete ignorance. A complete lack of RP towards players that clearly have a desire to roleplay is absolute misbehaviour from an official faction, in my opinion.
I was outgunned by and evading: a cruiser, that [MG] guy and the IMG hydra, whilst in my lone solaris sabre. Which would take ages to take down a mastodon anyway.
I was already heavily damaged
I'm an indie pirate, not a cuddle bunny.
To Dale.Brown, sorry if I've offended you.
However, roleplay is not real-life. Please don't take my character's persona personally. She's a pirate, not a cuddle-bunny. People trash talk during fights, I was roleplaying this.
That being said, if I am overdoing the RP, please let me know. However, I don't feel it's really necessary to initiate OOC to try and insult me. I am open to feedback so long as it isn't so childish.
Other than that, I have had great RP encounters with IMG|, keep up the good work.

Your feedback is basicly: "I got no attention Q_Q, U BAD RP".
Ignorance and no answer is RP believe or not.

As a general rule, when the shooting starts the time for roleplay has ceased. I was not among this encounter, but would have remained quiet as well until the combat situation was resolved. IE all pirates dead or fleeing, or us ourselves kaboomed.
Best you can do is throw something simple among the lines of "Ey, IMG, offering to lend ye my guns. 2 Mil and I'm unloading on these pirates. Whaddayesay, yes or no?". Something like that requires only a very brief yes or no answer, and leaves people to focus on the pewpew. Especially if there's bombers involved, chatting can be instant death. Further RP can be done after the encounter. With probably additional escort duty options;)

We do not employ people to further unbalance a fight.
We had it covered.
Also: I will always work with IMG| Defence pilots before I hire anybody. Simply because I want to provide activity, fun and roleplay for my people first.
I know it can be frustrating as a Freelancer, but in that situation there was really no reason to hire you, as it was 3 or 4 against one already.
I do not support ganks.
So... sorry. :/ I understand what you want, and I'd love to give you rp, but in a fight it's hard, and I don't want to unbalance things more that they are most of the time without freelancers and mercs joining in.
I will pay more attention next time and try at least to react to roleplay. We normally try, but this time I think we did not as good as we can. Happens, sadly.
So yeah, what's up with you folks spamming someone to all hell when it comes to PvP?
I mean, seriously. Why do you folks insist upon sending 4 fighters, a bomber, a dessie, and three gunboats after one, stinkin', fighter?
I'm here to play the game to have fun, yet here I am facing an entire group of players who do not take fair play into consideration whatsoever. Seriously guys, come on. Every time I try to fight one of you for a quick, friendly 1v1 match, you guys dodge and shield run and do whatever, then have the gall to call for backup? And what's that? Do I see a gunboat and 3 more fighters headed for my lonesome fighter?
I know it sucks to lose, but come on. You're over-killing here. You're ruining the game. You're making people want to hate you on a personal level, all because you folks are under the attitude of "BEING SHOT NEED HELP GET GBS!! I WANT TO SEE THAT BLUE MSG!!!"
And you can try argue that attacking a base is a stupid idea. Sure, it's stupid. But I'm not trying to do it, you folks just keep running to one of your bases every time you see a fight just so you can have an excuse to "Bring in da caps!"
To those of you who only use caps: Okay, sure, I can understand that some folks just aren't cut out to be fighter or bomber jockeys. That still doesn't entitle you to just shoot at anything and everything you damn well please. Consider this: You're flying a fighter. Sure, you're not all that great at it, but you try it out anyway. You end up fighting some pirate, and you start doin' pretty well. But then up comes a gank force of 5 other pirates, two of which are gunboats. How do you feel then? Like crap, right? Knowing your fun was just killed because you stand no chance; ZERO; nada; none, whatsoever, of winning now, even against that fighter you were close to killing?
Yes, this is a rant, if that wasn't obvious. Learn to respect fair play. Learn to not spam a gank force against a fellow human being. Stop and think once in a while that, "Hey, this guy's trying to have fun too. Maybe I should park my gunboat and let one or two of my fighter buddies handle it?"
You would all do well to think on this. This goes for your buddies in the Colonial Remnant and the EDGE, too.

1. I'm sure they are very sorry they don't offer you the blue message on a silver plate.
2. There's nothing friendly in wanting to destroy a ship.

1. Yes, it sucks to lose so that's why they hate losing and that's why they call for backup. No, not to see the blue message but to make you go away and leave them alone.

1. You should know that if your target reached the station, you should give up and search for another target.

1. The difference is that if an IMG/CR would face that force they wouldn't come to whine on the forum.

1. "Hey, this guy wants some fun, let's all park our ships in a line and let him razor us so he can have his daily blue messages".
No, I'm not in IMG but I am in CR and you directed this rant to us as well.
I can understand in people wanting others to leave them alone and such stuff. However, when people start making threats and whatnot about shooting, and I go shoot them in my defense, and they up and run away... Well, okay, sure, I'll just chase them.
Then I guess they radio for backup, and... Well, you already know from what I said before.
I'm not asking you to line yourselves up and let me "razor you all," as you've said. In-fact, I'd rather you not do that so we can have some more fun that way.
Sooner or later, you have to realize that this game was made for pvp interactions. It's pretty much inevitable at some point. Whether or not you want both sides to fully enjoy such an experience is another matter.
I win at times. At other times I lose. Hell, even losing can be fun sometimes.
And as long as the fight was fair after I had lost, I think to myself, "Well, one of us had to lose. Guess it just happened to be me that time, and I'm glad to have even had that experience."
I'm a Freelancer. Unfortunately, a death message is what drives part of Freelancer/Mercenary combat. No death message, no payment. We can't pirate for cash, and we can't levy fines for contraband either. On my Xeno, I could care less about killing someone or not. Hell, making them run away is always a plus for me, since I don't have to fight them and I can focus on more pressing matters.
But.. Freelancers, 'ya know? We don't get paid for dock messages. We may be after the dreaded "blue message," if you will, but that doesn't give you the right to ruin a person's attempt at some fun by bringing in pretty much anything and everything against that one single person. Last I checked, you can't kill a destroyer in a fighter on your own (Most cases. There are a few rare exceptions, as is in many things). So why would you even consider bring that, and multiple fighters to drive off one person? It's just plain over-kill, if you ask me.
I don't mind facing a few of you guys at once; really, I'm asking for it when I engage the IMG or CR, since you folks are so active. But could you maybe tone it down a notch and not break out the cap ships when a few fighters can do the job just as well..?
Have you ever thought that maybe most of the IMG (and even CR) suck at PvP and they don't want PvP and shooting them means ruinging their fun? And since they have the means to avoid that, your fun will be ruined. It's you or them. I've seen cases when CR offered fair fights to a single guy and because they did that, they lost 5 ships one after the other instead of sending all of them at once and take him out. Yes? Mercs and freelancers need the blue message to make money. Well, change your operating area or find another way to make money if this is not working.
I, for one, hate this thing the most - offering blue messages to mercs. I hate this more than being pirated for 20 mils or stuff like that. But this is just me.
To be a merc should be hard and IMG are doing their job keeping it that way.
