The way your ships are tagged is going to create a lot of confusion. I'm sorry but with all the factions we already have here - how are we supposed to keep all you DIC ones straight. If you are going to do this, perhaps it would be better to put the DIC bit at the end. That way it is much easier to keep straight who is who.
' Wrote:Edit in response to Dboy's post: As i stated earlier, the each Sub-tag of the DIC is a seperate faction and clan,
Problem, -you- may consider that for your faction. But everyone else with a factions reputation list won't. They'll see the [DIC-***] part of the tag and consider it hostile. Whether it being Outcast, BAF, or whatever else you chose to be.
Oh, and as to many people have posted infront of me. I shall send another one... Please make sure to read this quote, as it's going to be posted a lot through out this thread.

DIC Rep: The majority of your group is aligned with BAF, BMM or Outcasts -- all enemies of my player faction, the Black Dragon Society (a relatively new Hogosha player faction). We're already outnumbered by the SF/QCO/QCP (all BAF-aligned player factions), not to mention the numerous Outcast-aligned (or allied with the Outcasts) player factions. Yes, the Corsairs are allied with us, but most Corsair players stay in Omicron Gamma and the Omegas or raid Rheinland. I have yet to see any of our Corsair allies make an appearance in Kusari space. The closest we have to a nearby ally would be [KNF], but theoretically the Kusari Naval Forces should be neutral to us (though the Bretonia-Kusari war has forced us to act as allies due to the situation). Unfortunately, [KNF] doesn't have enough members and is outnumbered by SF/QCO/QCP. Now, you're proposing to make Bretonian-Kusari conflicts so one-sided that it's not funny. Save everybody a lot of time and trouble -- just ask Igiss (creator of the Discovery mod) to plant a Bretonian flag on Planet New Tokyo!:rtfm:
' Wrote:1) The Scourge Faction/ID pending status is because the leader of the Clan called "the scourge" has yet to determine which NPC faction best suits his cause, they want to be terrorist like, and fight the junkers, but also have access to capital ships, so we're still working that one out, it'll be updated when a decision is made.
Obviously, you can't get everything you want for the Scourge, since you basically have two options (unless I'm missing a third):
Become Xenos who are terrorists that hate Junkers, but they hate BAF/BMM/Outcasts almost as much and can't use capital ships;
Become Hogosha who hate Junkers and can use capital ships, but also hate BAF/BMM/Outcasts and aren't terrorists.
Either way, the Scourge would be opposed to the rest of DIC.
well, to answer the questions posed as best i can, (and its my hired job to endure this initial near-flame fest), heres the answers to the questions as i see them:
Who are the Damorean Imperial Covenant?
The Damorean Imperial Covenant is a covenant of clans and factions united in an Imperialistic Manner, led by a group known as the Damoreans -- these are essentially "macroscopes" (see the works of Michael Tsarion), the kind you see when you take cardamine. Sounds farfetched, yes, it probably is, but thats the way the factions creators layed it out, its not my fault.
On a side note, it was earlier stated that we were made up of people entirely new. That is not true, we have a number of players who were members of the DIC, who we didnt know actually played discovery until we found them here ourselves. There are also a bunch of long-standing community members who are part of the DIC, such as Elder Alexander of the [TBH].
If you would all like a long and drawn out roleplay explanation of exactly why all these forces are involved with each other, then i could probably get Prince Roxas and the Emperor to come up with one. As for why pirates and lawfuls would be a part of the same faction, think of the persian empire: barbarian hordes which were subjugated by the elite into serving them. Of course the DIC prefers not to subjugate people, thats just not fun.
And, the idea of putting DIC at the end sounds interesting, i will forward that to the DIC administration -- Do you guys still require Name Change Certificates? we haven't seen any since we came here (then again we haven't really had to look for them).
Edit: For those who say "this would make this part of DIC opposed to the rest of DIC", adminstration would like to say: "So? let them waste each other for fun! its good practice"
Edit2: at the kusari sympathizer: we just looked at NPC territories, Kusari have patrols in Leeds near the jumpgate, BAF patrols are 3 jumps at best away from Kusari Space, looked to us like Kusari was winning.

Of course it's not your fault, but it's not our fault either. You will have to change because this will not work here.
Unfortunately we had a bad little experience with a previous 'empire's' visit here, and are in no hurry to
repeat it ...
Your inference is you are coming here for your own benefit, and not that of the community as a whole,
if playing here and then going off to discuss it on your own forums, and not this one is your intention.
This is a roleplay server and a lot of the game is played out on these forums, before it even reaches the
realms of space.
And to honest, if your 'emperor' cannot be bothered to come and post himself, then as his 'equal' here,
I cannot be bothered to take him very seriously. Don't do megalomaniacs, me.
