"The revolution is not an apple that falls when it is ripe. You have to make it fall." - Che Guevara.
Axel, an activist for the VWA, is a skeptic individual, particularly when it comes to interacting with other people. He questions their actions and evaluates as he goes, to predict how an outcome is likely to occur. It was this skepticism that forced him from the flashy life of a politician and into the turmoil of a revolutionary. While war with Liberty brewed, the people suffered, and Axel watched as rebels and revolution flowered in the host of Rheinland. Perhaps, he was charmed by the people's struggles. Perhaps, he wanted to live when the government was finally toppled. Either way, Axel fled the Federal Republic, and joined the VWA in an attempt to 'make the apple fall'. Since then, he's been paired with a colourful spectrum of individuals, including some that have attempted to radiate him, lure him into dangerous battles and force him into the hostile border worlds.
One of the most significant moments in Axel's revolutionary career include the witnessing of the attack on Zwickau, a Bundschuh depot in Dresden. From this event, the phrase "remember Zwickau" was coined, and embodied the pain and anger that not Axel felt, but the entirety of the party.
"Profit is not the legitimate purpose of business. The legitimate purpose of business is to provide a product or service that people need and do it so well that it's profitable." - James Rouse.
Self described as "raised on the lanes", Malcolm has known a life of commerce and trade since he was born. His parents shifted cargo independently, before settling down for planetside jobs on New London, post Nomad War. Yet, Malcolm still yearned for a life of flight, as such, he took an apprenticeship straight out of High School, then worked alongside BMM for a spell, then decided to pick up where his parents left off: independent freighting. With moderate success in his new job, Malcolm felt distant from a community, as the long days flying across space often left him lonely. He joined Gateway, to make sure his independence was guaranteed, while still having the community he so dearly wanted.
Yet, this was to come under challenge, as Malcolm was caught up against Bowex in a shipment race. He saw two Bretonian entities duke it out above a world of refugees in Omega-3 and wondered whether community was something as easy to come by as he thought.
The by-product of a dangerous mix of Houston genes and female anatomy, Emma is a rag tag space soldier, fending off crime wherever it may appear. While she prided herself on her personal strength, gained from working in a prison as a Junior Warden, Emma has recently discovered that the Navy ain't all that its cracked up to be, and has found herself slipping into reserves while intense battles between the Gauls and Liberty broke out. After Hartman sustained serious injuries however, she's slinked back into the Navy and taken up a new boost of confidence, fearlessly fueled by patriotism and a brutal attitude.
Brutal, you say? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
That's the only character I've interacted with, and I've enjoyed that. Her tough girl attitude is an interesting contrast to the fact that she essentially went the coward's route and escaped the worst fighting in Royal Flush. I could suggest that you either work on the texan accent a bit more or get it out, seems a bit forced at some points.
