Rin Hayashi. Kusarian pilot of a certain vessel that floats around Liberty Space, called 'Transcending Dreams'. She always found the name kinda funny, being not the one to name it in the first place. However, she honored the title due to the circumstances it came about, despite it being a simple Eagle.
She wasn't in Liberty for fun. That was the truth. In fact, she actually found Liberty quite the disgusting place with the people who flew around in space. The military were difficult, and the civilians were not too much better. In result of this, she liked to stay around Rogue bases, her reputation with the group good enough to be able to dock, and even talk to a few of the regulars, mostly on Buffalo base where she was parked for most of the time.
Thankfully, nobody has noticed her come and go so far. Things worked out, in the end.
It was a long day. Rin was back at Buffalo, at a small room which she stayed at for a few credits every night. She could afford it. She had 'excellent' employment with plenty of resources, although she wasn't supposed to tell people that. In fact, she didn't tell anyone. She was there on a job, and she did it efficiently. Her superiors didn't mind, not that she had a choice in the matter. She lost her choice quite a while ago, once she met a certain someone in the Omicrons. Although that's a story for later.
Slowly closing her eyes, she began to doze off, hoping silently that the next day would take it's time. Sleep.. One of the wonders of the world they lived in, in this day and age.
In her dreams, she found herself in a bright blue mist that was as opaque as her ship's hull. She looked around for a bit, before hearing a faint voice. The voice was alien, and barely audible, however she could understand it perfectly well and was able to locate it's origins, a point far, far away to her right.
Come... Come... Come...
She starts moving through the mist, just floating freely, as the voice gets stronger and closer. Suddenly, the mist clears out, and she is in a pitch-black space with a glowing purple orb floating at eye level. That orb is the source of the voice, deafening now, but not shaking her eardrums; instead, it is shaking her mind.
Come... Come... Come...
The voice stops abruptly, and the orb disappear. Her vision goes pitch black, before returning. However, she is no longer in the space with the orb; she's in a solar system. She recognizes the Coronado system's planets, and the blue nebula taking up nearly half of the space. The voice was heard again, this time from everywhere around her.
Jolting awake, she sits up quickly in a panic, beads of cold-sweat showing as she tries to comprehend what she just saw. Dreams were usually strange, however 'that' was not normal. Not in the slightest. The images flashing by her mind as she recalls what she saw, finding to be able to do such, unlike normal dreams as well.
"Come... Come... Come... We are waiting..." Wiping away the sweat, slowly sitting up while moving to change back into her normal clothes which consisted of a pitch-black t-shirt, and a black with neon green highlights on a sweatshirt along with basic long pants. She quietly leaves her room, rubbing her head as the event left her feeling drained mentally, concentrating on the location that she saw.
"They never do things subtly, why on earth could things not be like with Tara, that is quite a bit easier..." Motioning with a slight wave as she leaves. "I'll be back in a few days John, it looks like I gota head a bit away from New York.. Save my room for me, eh?" A big burly man glances up, makes a small grunt and nods, watching her head off to the hangars. Well.. What the rogues claimed were hangars at least.
Rin hops into her Eagle and fires up the systems, and promptly undocks. Setting corse to the system she recognized quite well by the nebula color and the vastness of the cloud, beginning to set off. The trip took about an few hours, but eventually made it into the system. She glances around the space and sighs quietly. "Unless there's more drastic signs, I think i'll take a stop at Barrier Gate and get a shot of Sake..
As she set course to Barrier Gate, she hears the voice again calling to her again.
Come... Come... Come...
The voice is coming from the Nebula, in a direction she had never explored before. As she watches, a small, bright purple circle appears in her vision, looking like the waypoints human navigation systems use, only projected in her mind and not on her HUD.
As she arrives to the location, a large, menacing shape can barely be seen through the thick clouds of gas. It looks like a triangular jump gate, damaged and with a wreck in the center. Then, as she watches, a huge, kilometer long purple cylindrical explosion takes place only a few hundred meters away from her position. The nomad has arrived.
Shrinking back slightly at the sight that slowly unfolded in front of her. The scene wasn't her favorite. Sure, she sympathized with the creatures, although they were intimidating no matter what way she tried to look at it. Sticking with humans, and indirectly helping was her forte, however.. This situation seemed like an unavoidable one.
Another bead of cold sweat slowly forms, saying in a quiet voice, perhaps thinking louder than she talked. "What do you want with me.. Normally, I am left alone, what has changed?"
The nomad and the space around her suddenly disappeared again. Once more, she was in a pitch black space, with nothing around her. Then, the purple orb reappeared. It hovered a few meters in front of her. Then the voice started again.
You are a light source...
You have spread light...
Your kin needs to heed our call...
Tell them their assistance is required...
The orb then shook, and continued:
Make heed all who believe in us...
Failure is not an option...
The orb then disappeared and the space around her collapsed. As she came to, she saw the last bits of purple emitted by the Nomad's cloak as it disappeared...
