Biography:
Takaya was born on planet kyushu in 786 A.S in the not so renowned but very conservative Kagakagari clan, known for its strict abidance by Bushido code and traditions.
From his very youth, he was taught the clan's values and how much outsiders were soiling Kusari with their presence. He studied in the schools and universities that were focused on military training and at the age of 16, he was admitted to the military academy.
After finishing his studies, he was assigned to the Hokkaido system and even took part in several Chugoku raids before the start of the Bretonia war. When the war broke out between Kusari and Bretonia he was already Shosa (Lieutenant-Commander) and commanded a bomber strike group during the Tau campaign.
Once Tau-31 was conquered and the front moved to Leeds system, he was assigned to the protection of logistic supply lines. For perfect service, he soon rose to the rank of Shosho (Rear-Admiral) and was transferred to the Leeds system.
During his service in Leeds, he took part in several offence and defence operations and soon was promoted to the rank of Chujo (Vice-Admiral), after the brilliant defence of Stokes station from bretonian battle-groups.
In the end of 817, during brutal battles with Bretonia forces near planet Leeds, his destroyer was badly damaged. Kagakagari suffered severe injuries and was transferred back to New Tokyo for medical treatment.
When Gallia's invasion occurred, cutting Kusari forces from their homeland, he was still in hospital, unable to do anything. Such a situation saddened him most.
He gathered those who shared his views and tried to break through to Taus, but he did not know about the change of leadership happening in the Naval Forces. His once loyal servant betrayed him, informing the Republicans. His strike force was intercepted in Kyushu. The ships that didn't surrender were destroyed.
Kagakagari Takaya died in battle.
________
Little they knew that Kagakagari made contact with Farmer Alliance leader Ryu Nakata and convinced him to help them. In the battle not every ship was destroyed, a few of them being rescued by Farmer Alliance assets and then guided to the Tottori system. Unfortunately with what was left from the battle-group, it was not possible to break through the Taus to join the Emperor's forces; not even to distract Naval forces from the Tau-29 gate. It was decided to lay low for some time and wait for a favourable moment. To make the Republic fully believe that all of his forces were destroyed, Kagakagari's followers abandoned their ships on the edge of the Hyakushou Nebula in Tottori and Takaya disappeared.
Chikage Kazama rose, unbeknownst to the Republic.
When the news that Jien Kogen died reached Kusari, Kazama lost all his will to continue fighting, but eventually his master and Emperor showed up and dispelled all rumours about his death. Now the Emperor is near by, it's time for Kazama to rise up and do whatever he can to restore the rightful Emperor on his throne.
