thanks for your application, my associates and I have a question that needs clarification before an emmployment is possible. May I know if "Independent Miner" is meaning "a member of the Independet Miners Guild" or does it mean "a freelancing miner with Mining ID"?
After solving that issue hopefully to our contentedness, as we are not going to hire IMG miners, please provide information where to send the authorization code for on of our Hegemon mining ships.
With all your expirience and espescially because of your "washing up" skills we would like to welcome you at Fortitudine.
Sorry for the confusion, when I said independent miner, I meant me by myself. I actually despise the IMG, I've had bad dealings with them in the past. As for the ship, would you mind christening it "Endeavour"? My previous vessel had the same name.. I'm quite attached to it's spirit..
thank you for explaining the affiliation. You're welcome!
Access code for your "Endeavour" Hegemon sent via private message.
I hope you will meet our other minders soon to have some enjoying conversations about the newest mining turret technology or the best Bretonian sausages.
I have been mining since a very young age with my father, it seems that everywhere I go there is always the scums of life
demanding some sort of payment, if is True what you are saying count me in.
Name:Mining.Co
Faction:BMM
Special skills: armed with fighting turrets
Do you like Bretonian sausages?: Yaaaack
Names Chris Nixon. Born and raised in Liberty, worked for DSE many many years ago. back when the Colorado fields churned out Copper and Silver like Dublin does Gold. Well I was layed off when the rush ended. and I wont lie, I join them there Xenos. Got my self locked up in the Surgarland when I was 30 for about 20 or 25 years. Just got out recently. and I want to get my life turned around. Now, I done never had no problems with Bretonians, it was those darned Kusarians who brought in all them auto-mated miners and such. My ship, the DSM-Dawson.City pumped out ores like it was going out of style *chuckles* good times. Well, me and ma crew would like to get back into the business. Our vessel is still in once piece despite the years. and can work as hard as any of the newer gizmo's you may have running out there *a steam pipe bursts in the background* *ducks as a bolt flies across the room* God..dang it, Get some duct tape on that thing! *laughs* She is holding together. No reactor so no worry about a big boom it happens to be one that was steam powered...Strange yeah for your new fangled H-Fuel/Mox powered miners. Well I am rambling on so I'll let you decide now, will you hire me? An old man simply wanting to get back into what he loves?
Name: Chris Nixon
Faction: N/A: Open for hire.
Special skills: Knows how to work a Miner, has good stories to tell around the bar after a long days mining.
Do you like Bretonian sausages?: Never was a fan, but they cannot be worse them them Kraut things. Prefer Libertonian Hot Dogs honestly *shrugs*.
I ensure you, you do not have to pay to be able to mine in our are or to live at our base.
Your application was short and not really significant, but as you like Bretonian sausages that much, you are in!
Please inform me, if you need one of our mining ships sir.
I had long discussions with my associates and the result of these discussions were very close. In the end we decided to accept your application as you were very honest about your Xenos membership, your stay at Sugarland and your preference of Libertonian Hot Dogs (that point nearly concluded in a denial) . Also you was the first wand sending a photograph attached to your application documents.
However, it is not the style of Bretonia Mining and Fabrication to judge people prior to giving them a chance. Your chance is to show that you can do your job and that you get along with our other miners and the BMF staff.
Please, before you start mining, let our docking and repair team check and repair your ship as it might be a danger to our base. We do not want a miningship reactor breach inside of Fortitudine.
As a good Friend of mine is just experiencing some Problems with the comm array of his , erm ... nearly new Hegemon,
I´m sending this message to you in his name.
You know me, Lord.
My Word might not be worth a ton of Ore, but as a man´s Word it is a honest one.
And I´d rather take the Sausages than the Ore, thank you.
I know Fortinbras since childhood. Like many of us he lived in the Freeports and lived a haphasard life as an Orphan of the many wars in Sirius.
As I made some money with my escort and trader jobs, I used some of it to purchase old friends their first ship.
Oh well, and to my supprise - erm , I mean I am honoured to hear that Fortinbras wanted nothing more than to join you at Fortitudine.
He´s a good pilot in a fighter, I have seen to that. And our brother Venturer taught him about mining. So I hope that he is welcome with you. I see that he´s already got used to the field today and is currently taking over my old room at the Station, as I am mostely far away at the moment.
So :
Will you take in Fortinbras ( Raven´s Talon VHF ) and Fortinbras_the_Miner ( Hegemon ) to your Crew ?
Quote:some information:
Name: Fortinbras

Oh, and by the way :
Those Sausages are good, but where are the baked Beans ?

Subject: Mining Contract Application
Dear Lord MacRae,
I am writing to present an application to fill a mining role in your recent advertisement concerning raw hydrocarbon extraction in the Manchester system. I am currently a freelance pilot in search of a corporate affiliation, and BMM is a very desirable option that I intend to pursue forthwith. Such a career choice has led me to your offer and I believe I possess the correct mindset, skills and motivation to fulfil your requirements. I also harbour a healthy appreciation for the most plump, coarse and filling Bretonian sausages; they make Rheinlands' finest pale in comparison!
In my youth I studied hydrocarbons for many years as an organic chemist, and later applied this knowledge in the employ of a small company overseeing ore processing and shipping. With the onset of hostilities in Bretonia in recent years, however, I found myself a for-hire freight pilot, however I have always considered myself an opportunist and believe I can apply my knowledge and experience to the job at hand.
I confess that currently I do not own a Hegemon class mining vessel and must apply to you for the resources to obtain one, however as per the terms of your contract this will of course be returned to you in its full credit value upon contract termination. My current licence is registered under the I.D. Alexander.Sarand
I look forward to hearing your response,
Yours sincerely,
A. Sarand.
