I straightaway tell them via PM if I am not interested, like, when a sudden RL work arises, or simply, I am bored and/or moving across to a different part of space without having to cause any trouble.

If they continue to RP, I just become a scapegoat for whatever they do, and when it results in a pew, I fight it out. (because most of the times, two parties which are hostile to each other either by reputation or by situational activities like smuggling, carrying banned things or something like that, then that is the time, when the opposing party would like to extend his RP instead of the normal greetings and pleasantries)

Actually, i'll extend my 2 cents for a second because I think there is an exception.

If you're smuggling, you clearly have the time for it and therefore you should have the time for RP interaction as you are likely to get noticed travelling through house systems. Don't do it if you're not prepared to RP. Bad sportsmanship.
