She chuckles softly, Had it covered? Of course you did. she gives a wink to the bartender and she smiles back at her.
She looks at him rather surprised, Nevaeh just recently actually left, and as she recalled it, they at least protected people. You know.. I don't remember them being really.. bad people. Not as a whole at least. Of course some people are bad.. I don't know though. she sighs at the thought of it. Why can't people just get along? she says sarcastically.
With the question about her addiction, she stops being so animated for a bit. Look around.. what do you see? she uses her hand, palm up, to point out people who are also smoking cardi. There's a lot of them. It's part of who we are. It's proof of commitment. It also helps our ties with the Outcasts of course.
Her attitude quickly changes when he talks about the other girls, Ha! Why do you think I came down here? she gives the girls another look, as she takes a drink of her water (Still trying to make it look like vodka) and tries the lime again. You know, you never told me why you're really here. she says curiously.
He shrugs. "I don't know... but I like my own privacy from time to time... and in Liberty I can't get it... so I just exploit the whole thing and make them go crazy." He smirks.
"But really... commitment? Your committed to the drug tied to the Outcasts becasue of it... how does that make sense to your beliefs?" He shrugs and takes out some Synthetic Marijuana already rolled nicely and lights it with his own lighter. "Like I said though... I smoke.. just not that stuff..."
"...but... I still won't tell you why I came down here... or should I?" He starts to tease a bit. "I'm guessing you want some kind of ... I don't know... someway I should repay you for being so nice to a stranger like me... and this would be a good way of doing it?"
She smiles at him genuinely, Well, don't we all want some privacy? That's why I can tint my windows with the push of a button. she stops smiling, So.. what did you mean exactly about making the police mad? And um.. I saw on the back of your jacket when you walked in... What's the Archangels? she has a look of curiosity while saying this.
She clearly doesn't want to explain the drug situation, but she does say a little bit When you start, you need it to basically live. The Golden Chrysanthemums don't want anyone who isn't fully committed to our cause. We want equality. But we don't want spies. Get it?
What do you mean.. pay me? she looks over towards the bartender, for no real reason, and makes a funny face. What do you mean..? clearly she misheard something, and she thinks you're trying to "pay" for an escort. I'd rather you didn't. I just bought your drinks. So we can just enjoy our time here! she says timidly.
"Cops don't like it when you speed. Cops don't like it when you have a little buzz while you fly. And.... cops don't like it when you have ... company ... in your cockpit." He smirks and laughs a bit to himself but looking around he stopped quickly and soon felt a bit less secure than usual.
He finally sees a bit more danger around. More women looking at him strange or with a bit of hate. Women with guns around... some hidden and some drawn. Some holstered on the waist and some laying down on the table ready to be used at a moments notice. He noticed then that being his usual self would be quite dangerous... and felt a little grateful to the girl... though still now he felt he needed to be defensive for his own safety. He could control a room full of men quite easily... women on the other hand were a whole different story...
"... but anyway..." He says still as he darts his eyes around. "that's ... about it.... Archangels?.... they are ... nothing..." he shakes it off now being a bit too careful with what he said around here. For all he knew she was being used to grab information from him. Her facial expression when she asked about the cops told him that much... or it was a hunch anyway.
"Equality and no spies..." He pondered the statement well... though still he was feeling as though now he was being analysed from head to toe. He sat up a bit straight though trying to get a bit comfortable but now he couldn't.
"I didn't say anything about paying you... if it was up to me I'd pay for my own things..." is all he can say now. He's getting a bit nervous but doesn't show it too well. He smokes his marijuana, at least finding a little relief in that for at least that short amount of time. "I have a girl already...."
Hey sweetie, calm down. Alright? I can see the other girls too, but as long as you're sitting here with me, no one will do anything. They just don't like outsiders. The fact they let you dock at all, is a really good sign. Alright? All's well. she smiles at him, then looks at the girls and shakes her head "no" to them. A large portion of the girls agree in one way or another, and look away from him and go back to talking or flirting with each other.
She stalls at his denial to explain what they are, still remaining curious she asks again Why are you acting like this? It's okay. Trust me. If any of us were going to hurt you, you wouldn't be sitting here with me anymore. she laughs Chill out! she smiles at him, stands up, walks over to him quickly and gives him a friendly hug. It's really okay. How do you expect us to be friends, if you don't trust me? How bad could it be, to tell me you're in some sort of club or a gang? It's okay to tell me.
After she realizes what he meant her draw drops and she covers her face, Oh my god! I'm so freaking sorry! Gosh dang it! Please don't be mad.. but um.. you don't need to repay me.
Sunny doesn't say anything as she talks and to him trying to reassure him and giving him a hug, though he was in a position where he couldn't really hug back or anything. She then starts apologizing and he shakes his head a bit. More for himself than her, saying he's not mad. He wasn't mad... he was confused, nervous, and felt trapped. He sighs a bit and reaches for the vodka again as he smokes. He just wanted to forget everything. He looks over to her seeing her friendly smile again. Why was she helping him? He asked... but what he got was to protect him...why? Because he was 'cute'?.
"Friends?... You want to be friends... with a stranger that walked in...right..." He was still skeptical... but at least he didn't feel so bad. "From where I come from if someone does what you are doing right now then they would want something back. Yet you don't?... Just.... Friends?"
"See...the thing is... I was on my way ... " He stops in his tracks again. Should he really tell her why he's here? She could just use it to make sure he can't run off... although she did have a point.... still...
"I... was on my way around here and then my damn engine got fried. Ok? There... I said it..." He sighs. It was embarrassing for him to say it. It was also dangerous to tell her that he's stranded on the base... He hoped he didn't have to answer any more of these questions and hoped she would realize how much of a big deal what he said actually ment to him.
"The Archangels... sure... it's a club... if you wana say that..."
In a room full of women he still felt alone. The fact that he was talking to someone didn't change the matter. He was starting to feel a bit better... but he didn't feel so good to begin with. He siped the vodka again and looked at her, trying to find some comfort in her smile. The vodka was helping more than she was at the moment.
"You know... I can tell that's just water your drinking... you don't have to pretend."
Yeah! Why wouldn't I want to be friends with you? she says curiously with a look of confusion when he explains he doesn't really have many proper "friends," and she reassures him We can become great friends! I don't need anything in return. she smiles at him unsure if he would actually want to be friends with her in the first place.
You know, I'm sure one of the girls here could help you fix it. Just go ask someone. I know a few, but not good enough to ask a favor like that. she looks a bit concerned towards him. Yeah! Just do that. Just go over to that table... she points to one, with some overly tough looking women sitting at it and ask them to help you! They seem really nice.
She laughs briefly when he is acting so shady about his club. I'm part of a club too! I go knitting.. and um... she can't make anything else up uhhhhh... okay, I'm lying. You know it's okay if you don't wanna go too far into it. I was just thinking it could be fun to talk about what you do. obviously she's aware that "Archangels" doesn't sound too "club" like.
She looks like a deer caught in headlights when she's called out on the water What do you mean? she takes another drink out of it.
"Hmm... well alright..."
He lightens up a little more getting back to his senses and pours some more vodka in his glass. As she points out the girl he turns around to see and turn back to her with a raised eyebrow as if he couldn't believe it. "You're saying she can fix a fully blown out engine that has been way too overheated? I'd probably need a replacement and that could take a while... although if you know if they sell any good engines here then I'll give it a shot... I got someone I messaged that should be hear soon though... hopefully anyway."
He shrugs and puts the bottle down and spins it a little looking at it as if in a deeper thought. He then stops and smirks a bit at her. "But sure... umm... nono its fine. The Archangels are like a club for people who like to race and such. We hold some parties too and things... have some fun... drink..."
He looks and grins a bit and lifts his glass up to smell the aroma of the vodka in his shot glass. "What do I mean? Have you ever tried vodka before to know how you'd react to the taste?"
Are you doubting her skills? She's fantastic! She once fixed my old blossom after a gunship shot straight through it's cruise drive. She had it up and running better than ever within a week. Bet she could do the same for you. Give it a week, two tops. she smiles at the man she still finds cute, but now sort of suspicious. She makes no expression to show she feels that way.
She looks at him for a bit longer, almost looking straight through him her eyes are lost in a gaze causing an almost somniferous feeling to flow through anyone who looked at them. She quickly snaps out of it, clearly confused to what just happened. Um, where am I? she looks around to see that she is indeed at Ainu. What just happened? she looks at the man for a moment longer Oh wait! Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry. After tho-- she stops herself. That sometimes happens to me. I don't fully understand why. But it doesn't seem to hurt anyone or anything so... I just accept it. she shakes her head, as to "shake it off" and continues with her previous conversation. Well, maybe I could race sometime too. she laughs Maybe your gang--erm, club, would like me. she looks at him with puppy dog eyes.
After he comments on the vodka thing she frowns at him Of course I've tried it! I just um... don't like it. i do stupid things when I'm drunk.
"A week or two... that's going to take a while then, you think? ... A whole week..." He thinks and wonders how he can get out of this kind of mess but he notices she zones out and then snaps back into it after. "Are you alright?" He asks, raising his eyebrow and wondering. "After... after what? No no... don't be sorry... anything wrong?"
He thinks to himself what had really caused him to comment so quickly on what happened to her, but shrugs it off. She seemed nice and wanting to help him and he smiles back probably for the first time now, trying to reassure her. "You know its nice that you think first if it affect anyone but... you know..." He shrugs, letting her off the topic is she doesn't want to pursue it.
"Well maybe..." He says back at her mentioning that she can race sometime too, "I mean... you think you have what it takes to keep up?" He says, smiling and leans back a bit to sip the vodka gradually in his glass. "Well ... You seem like you'd do fine... hmmm." he teases her a little at this point.
He laughs though as she mentions that she doesn't like getting drunk. "Ahh common how stupid can it be??" he grins. "It's fun though and feels nice... besides there are other drinks... whiskey? Rum? A martini?" He chuckles. "You're missing out, you know!"
