Summary: Captured while deep in Alaska, the Tundra was a Liberty Navy research vessel experimenting with hibernation techniques. While the crew was incapacitated, the ship was boarded by Nomads who infected them while in hibernation, as well as the command crew (including then-Captain Chris Murray). When Jason Moore found the ship, looking for the captain, he found it deserted, but it soon became apparent that Nomads were involved. As he beat a hasty retreat, he saw a Nomad Battleship eat the Tundra, as if by osmosis of hulls.
It was not heard from for seven months.
Then, suddenly, it reappeared in Alaska. The LNS Mexico, a Cruiser, stumbled across it and was destroyed. When the LSF sent an agent to investigate, they got damning evidence in the form of sensor scans showing that the ship was indeed infected itself.
Limitations (LNS-Tundra):
The LNS-Tundra will never leave the edge worlds (Omicrons Kappa, Delta, Iota, 99, 90, Major, Minor, Alaska, Unknown, Tohoku, etc) UNLESS an RP reason is given, and it has to be a good one
The LNS-Tundra will never open fire on anything smaller than gunboats unless provoked, and only fire on other ships if carrying Nomads or of Order alignment (basically, I won't run around engaging stuff).
The LNS-Tundra will never land anywhere except Nomad/Wilde bases.
The LNS-Tundra will never broadcast OOC messages through system chat, marked or unmarked. Anything needing to be said will be said in private.
Limitations (Scout-[Tundra]):
The Scout has a wide ZOI, as it is gathering information on the humans, though it will attempt to avoid close contact with large human installations or hostile forces. As with any scout, stealth and guile is key, rather than overt force.
The Scout will not engage enemies, unless fired upon.
The Scout will only land on Nomad/Wilde bases.
The Scout will never broadcast OOC messages through system chat, marked or unmarked. Anything needing to be said will be said in private.
Telepathy - will be marked with two asterisks surrounding each message, and added parentheses to show an image. Example: ** we spread Light ** would be a word message, whereas **(image of Freeport 11)** would be a picture. Usable by both Scout-[Tundra] and LNS-Tundra
Speech - will be marked by quotation marks, with "*emotionless voice*" added to the beginning every once in awhile, to let the people being RP'd with that this is a monotone, blank voice. Usable by both Scout-[Tundra] and LNS-Tundra, though the Scout will use it sparingly
Computer - the main computer of the LNS Tundra is a rather curious device, which will come to play a role in the development of the story. For now, it performs several ship functions, though it frowns quizzically, so to speak, at the Nomad technology. Each message will be proceeded by "*automated voice*". Usable only by the LNS-Tundra
Interactions with other players
Keepers/Wilde - will be regarded as friendly, allowable to group with
Aspiring/"independent" Nomads - will be regarded as friendly, allowable to group with
Outcasts - most likely neutral, though as of yet none have been encountered.
Zoners - humans that live on the edge, they regularly come into direct contact with Nomads. Though peaceful attempts to subvert them may be made, overt hostilities are not advised. Freeport 11 is to be avoided at all costs, as it is too heavily defended.
Most everyone else - while attempts to peaceably infect will be made (IE - telling them to submit, and feel no pain, etc.), if they do not, they will be engaged unless circumstances dictate otherwise. Traders are, at the moment, ignored due to ID limitations, but will not be so lucky if the Nomad ID is gotten. No attacks will be made without proper RP and notification.
Farming Nomad/Wilde NPCs will be viewed as overtly hostile, and will be dealt with with extreme prejudice.
This is a request for a Nomad tag/ID for both ships, though only the Tundra necessitates one (as next version, the current Navy ID will be inviable, as will any Guard IDs).
Edit: this request is done, approved. The Tundra now has a Nomad tag and ID, and is parking only on Nomad/Wilde bases.
