Sender:Duc-General Ansel Xavier, Gallic Royal Navy. Recipient:Colonel Anton Villers, Gallic Royal Navy. Topic:Redeployment.
You've had quite a lot of time to prepare, Villers. Nearly a year since we last met on Calais, without disturbance or interference.
It's now time to put the fruits of our efforts to the test. Royal Navy Command plans to force the issue via an invasion of Nouveau Londres in the near future, and I am quite interested in seeing how Penumbra fares in an actual combat situation. Provided that your unit is in readiness, make your way to Escadre De Londres, which I am currently commanding. All the...special provisions that your unit will require will be arranged for, naturally. And I hardly need to remind you of the value of secrecy, even at this late juncture.
If you have any additional requirements, Let me know. Xavier out.
Penumbra will be ready to assist your forces down in Londres. In fact, we already suspected the call was about to come, so we departed Calais several days ago and have been keeping a low profile in the Tau cluster since then.
I suppose you are well aware of the energy signatures coming from Penumbra, and if you wish to hear the least questions possible concerning our presence among your battalion, then perhaps you would want us to haunt the asteroid fields and smog clouds that surround the battlefield. Knowing they are about to face a superior force, our enemies might rely on ambush tactics, but... we mastered that technique time ago, oui?
We will be your dagger in this fight. Make sure the sword is sharpened and the shield is ready.
