You can consider most turrets to be "deployable" or something like that (when being offline to be inside the ship). But they will not move, nor shoot. This is game mechanic and I can't do anything to change it.
I know what you had in mind about this but it can't be done in FL. Not yet, until someone actually program it.
Also, most ships in game don't have any turrets near their bridges so even if such mechanic was in game only very few would benefit to watch their cannons rotating and firing. But even if that happens how can you fire at your rear and sides without "leaving" this view? It's complicated.
What I've tested so far with few ships is that the shots come from where they are supposed to because I am using the actual size of the "ship" in front of you. For example the valor (check post 15 image) can fire pretty accurate with the forward gun and it's shot is going out exactly from it's intended location.
Need feedback about this: "Should I remove the middle metal window separator"? Few people already told me that on skype but I would like to hear some opinions here as well. Its absolutely no problem to delete it - just say if you find it useless or if its fine.
I would keep it there, it feels more realistic for me. But maybe i would make it a bit wider. Sure... it will block more of pilot's view, but this looks kinda "skinny" for it to be a good support column for the window.
Bretonia Bridge is ready. Here is an example with bretonian carrier visible part. You can see how it looks like when the sun is behind you with and without ambient light, and during cruising (when cockpit moves forward).
*window separator was removed and similar more thick versions were placed left/right side because bridges consist of like 8-12 windows where we are only using the "middle" one.
*Kusari bs bridge is slightly different from others because its not centered. Just check this preview to see it more clearly. The little square is the position where my bridge is located. Because of that the visible model was moved slightly on the left side.
*That's the view from the RM carrier. It is slightly moved to left side, similar to the KNF bs because there are no windows in the center and it would not be realistic if digging a hole there and once switching to turret view to find a wall.
*The symbols used for rheinland are their twin headed eagle with the House flag and walls of interface to monitor enemies of the Kanzler. We all know the rheinlanders are obsessed with security that is why the bridge looks smaller because only the most trusted personnel would ever be allowed to enter - the captain and few of his bridge officers.
The ships with forward cannons are very few - valor, rha one and lsc (gunboat forward cannons are different because their rotation angle is higher. Check this below to see that the valor for example "have" a crosshair which is its nose - I've tested it and it works nicely.

Well, I am still working on tweaking the bridges so they are like 80% ready. Once the main templates are all fine, building the cmp files for every military ship will take me no more than 2 hours. But fixing the ini files might take me a day or two.
I plan to make 3 packs consisting of House Military / House and Civilian Trading Companies / and Unlawful Factions. My goal is to submit them for discovery mod so all can use them but if they don't get in then I will prepare a download link.
Maybe after a week the first pack will be ready. Still, would be great to prepare all packs and submit them as one. Will try to finish all this at 6th March.
The bridge officers did not look well so I had to tweak them a bit. I've upgraded their body textures (as much as possible) and also added House original helmets. Check Updated Bridge Officers.
*GRN/C bridges are not yet ready - do not mind the emptiness.
*For GRN I found a nice white/black themed helmet to fit well in their intended colors.
*For Council I found this one to fit best in their "rusty" colors on their ships.
Well, here is the latest updated: All Bridges (enhanced). Featuring the new updated pilots, specific window metal beams or window reinforcement plates. I used the vanilla windows found on the ships as a guide of how the window would look like from inside.
It is not 100% accurate but the specific details were taken under consideration and most importantly - the field of vision, so columns and anything in middle had to go.
Fixing the textures on the pilots took me a lot of time, so they might not look ultra cool but at least I aimed to maintain the House specific colors on them. Luckily the helmets are all fine and were not broken.
If you see anything that troubles you, now would be the best time to comment it.
