Dmitry patiently listened to the recruit's story. Some of his words reminded him of his youth, and for just a moment he got tempted to follow the stream of memories, but the recruit were still talking so he had to focus on his job. Dmitry has seen many people who were much worse than this one. Some of them just heard the rumors about free vodka and decided to join without any knowledge of what they are up against. Dmitry grabbed recruit's file for a moment and dropped it back.
Interesting story, comrade Alrik. I have definitely heard worse. Some people who came here were more like they were a mere robots that came out of conveyor yesterday with a blank memory. I appreciate your honesty, this is not an easy for someone to say that his family did not support his decision. You are brave, sort off.
Dmitry has smiled and moved closer to the recruit with a more friendly look on his face.
Now, I know you are a bit nervous, but do not repeat the following mistake in future. I have followed your story and noticed that you are calling my homeland a "Colonial space". My friend, this is the Sirius Coalition. Colonials live elsewhere in Tau systems. Keep this in mind, will you?
Dmitry has gone silent for a few seconds, rubbed his forehead and came up with a new portion of questions.
Any partial reason why you did not join other Rheinland revolutionary groups? Landwirtrechtbewegung, curse their name, could fit you in a fight against and Synth Foods. I think you might blame them for your troublesome childhood. Or you could have joined Bundschuh to fight for more freedoms for Rheinlandish people. The Coalition is spread all over Sirius, we fight for every civilian out there against nearly every military organisation existing. Would you fight with so many for something as idealistic as communism?
I listened to the Commissars words carefully. That he said "Coalition Space" I didn't realize myself first. Somehow I got a bit disgruntled that the Commissar kept asking question. But well, it was his job, so I gathered new spirit and proceeded to answer the Questions.
"There are several reasons why I want to join the SCRA. One you named already yourself. You are not only fighting in one House, not only for one society and group of people." For a second I stopped talking, and now glancing deep into the Commissars eyes: "I ask you, Comrade Commissar Dubovik, where is the sense for me now to fight for only one group of people? Now where I already left my House of origin, wandering through edge systems and looking at Sirius as a whole.” I was taking a deep breath and continued: “The local revolutionary groups have proven to be not strong enough to make changes, just as we can see Synth Foods keeps doing dirty stuff on Planet Stuttgart non-stop. Another reason is that I don't see Rheinland as my home anymore” With this feeling again, of taking part in something large I breathed slowly out, and in, and said self-confident: ”I can hope for nothing else then to fight on the side of the great soldiers of your army, the communistic ideals and to fight for this greater good, for every civilian in Sirius!” I felt a sour taste on my tongue.
What an interesting question asked an simple applicant I thought. Somehow it made me thinking intense. Fast I interpreted the gun and the paper.
“This is difficult to answer. Both is needed for sure. In the one hand, pure aggression would make it impossible to cooperate with other factions. Hearing from the Core’s senseless attacks on Zoner stations shows that you are fast separated and between lots of enemies and I don’t know if the Core will make it out there alive. On the other side, the mighty people in the capitalistic Houses would never give away their power for free and the use of violence is needed, but it can be reduced to a minimal.” Nearly absent I said: “I think, it depends on the Situation and the goal, when to use weapons or communication." I took a short break, then continued focused: "Still, the goal is not to frighten the citizens of Sirius with saber-rattling, but to help them and to free them from the capitalistic machinations. I trust the Coalition Government that they will always decide for the right."
Dmitry has nodded and pushed both items towards the recruit.
Again, well said. You do have at least half of brain. Stage Three now in progress. Fill the paper and give it to me.
Then take a gun and point it at your forehead and wait for my command.
Location of Origin: Ile-De-France, Planet New Paris, Ile Du Palais
Current Location: Zvedzny Gorodok
Previous Experience: Liberty Freelancer, Edge Worlds Freelancer
Short Biography: Born only a few years away from the Nomad War, I have experienced many things as a child. My ancestors are from the original Coalition Fleet in Sol. My family had fled Gallia with me when word arrived that Gallia was amassing their forces and preparing for war with the colonies. We'd been attacked by pirates across Sirius, all the way to Liberty, where we stayed for a few years. In Planet Manhattan we lived under poor conditions, as my family struggled to support themselves and me. With a tearful goodbye they knew what they had to do. They gave me to an orphanage, where I was raised until 808 A.S., after which I started training in space, in hopes of returning home. With enough skill gained in 818 A.S., I attempted to return home but was turned back by a GRN fleet advancing into Bretonia. I dubbed my ancestor's old Coalition suit and to present day I have become a Freelancer in the Edge Worlds, serving house corporations until I settled down in Freeport 9, where my piloting skills have become rusty. Word came up to me of the Coalition rising in the Omegas, and I took the time of mine to report to Zvedzny Gorodok, following the directions of the recruitment data. I hope to see a response soon.
Reason of Joining: To unite Sirius under the Coalition's rule and especially unite the people as one, under the Red Flag and under Communism, and to at last reunite with my heritage.
Dmitry has finished reading the answers, burned the paper and pointed at the door.
You have performed well, comrade. Congratulations on successful completeion of the Coalition recruitment process. The pistol you are holding is now yours. Take care of it and use it wisely. Do svidanya!
As the Steinhammer has left the office, Dmitry stood up and went to another room. It was very dark and empty with only one chair in it and a person sitting there. It was an adult Gallian female. Her hands and legs tied with a rope and eyes covered with a dark cotton scarf. Dmitry smiled briefly as he started to walk around her in circles.
Hello there, miss Valentina. It has come to my attention that you do not follow the standart protocols of the recruitment process. You see, we do not support the way of leaving your curriculum vitae which you've pulled off there. We are not cafeteria in a search of a new cheff. Do you even know where are you trying to join, hm?
As Dimitry circled around her, she simply sat there, unaffected by anything currently going on in front of her, as if unafraid.
The Sirius Coalition Revolutionary Army, here at Zvedzny Gorodok, a group of descendants from spies and saboteurs who were onboard the Alliance sleeperships as they made their way to Sirius. Your nation is small but growing in power, your military rivaling the skills of the Alliance, albeit small. The Coalition works to save the people of Sirius, and keep them as one, united under the way of Communism. You work in the way of violence, crushing anybody who stands against you.
//OoRP: Apologies if I did anything wrong in applying, I followed what I could, as I did not see any official way to sign up.
With a swift move, Dubovik removed the scarf from recruit's head but continued to move around her, remaining in the darkness.
I am glad that you know something after all. If your eyes can see the truth of what the Coalition Army is, I shall not keep them closed by this scarf anymore. Now tell me, why would we care for the people outside? We could simply murder every citizen of the Houses as they are descendants of our enemies. If we are acting in the way of violence, why we arent stomping everything and everyone but instead making friends and allies with those who were our enemies eight hundreds years ago?
