Constable Thorn,
Not sure where you see my "insults" but it would seem that we in no way can understand one another. I'd like to, really I would, but it doesn't appear possible. I was asked on behalf of the GMG to mediate. That doesn't look likely either.
And don't go thinking I questioned your bravery, courage or will. I did not. I guess I'll have to walk on egg shells around you folk. You won't have to exchange "pleasantries" with me anymore unless the BAF have a direct problem with the TAZ.

Message reads:
If you are indeed a mediator for the Gas Mining Guild, then behave like one. Mediate. As much as I understand your concerns about Zoners or these "independents", let's try to deal with one matter at a time. I have enough bloody paperwork to deal with as it is.
The regulations are clear and simple. The Government doesn't negotiate on license fees, for reasons obvious to anyone who desires government to be transparent.
If your profits are too low and you are reluctant to pay the rather fair amount Her Majesty's Police requests, then you'd be best advised to keep your complaining to yourself. We are a nation at war. Vague complaints about your overheads because of your reluctance to contribute to the economy of Bretonia will be enough for any reasonable Bretonian official to file your request under "Pending". And with the size of our paper workload, that could take some time.
Now, I will expect that future discussions be conducted in a manner less suited to a bazaar.
Mr. Holliday. We are at war. That is the simple fact. Our people are dieing. You are asking us to endanger those people for the sake of your profit margins. You want me to value your profit margins over the lives of Bretonian citizens.
Since you seem not to grasp the insult you deal us here, perhaps it would be best if you removed yourself from Bretonian space. Let me sure you that we do not care in the slightest for your neutral stance. We care about the survival of the House of Bretonia. Get out. The GMG can send their own representative, and the Zoners can send one who better understands the value of a Bretonian life.

Chief Constable Brown:
I tried the mediating thing. Unfortunately, what I said came across as insults for whatever reason. On the whole, I have found life in Bretonia largely pleasurable despite our differences. I've started filling orders at South Shields for deuterium so it's worked out. Unless I'm told otherwise not too, I will continue with it as long as orders keep coming in.
Queen Carina:
If I didn't understand the value of Bretonian life, I would be in it so much. As I said to Constable Brown, orders from South Shields have been coming in so I've been doing my part to fill them. I didn't intend to insult and my apologies for them.

RE: Deuterium Shipments through Bretonia
Dear Ambassador Holliday,
I understand from station personnel on South Shields Refinery that you and/or associates of yours have been bringing shipments of deuterium in, presumably from Gran Canaria. We welcome you to our facility; while we certainly have our materiel needs covered, we are currently accepting additional shipments as we expect to soon pick up our processing and production.
That said, we at IMG operate in a rather precarious position vis-a-vis the Bretonian government, and only through careful negotiation - and the willing payment of requested fees - have we managed to maintain unhindered access to our bases and transit through Bretonian space. Given you have associated your current, and as yet illegal, activities with the Guild in this manner, I must request that you do nothing to threaten our interests. Please abide by Bretonian law in any shipments to IMG facilities.
Sincerely yours,
Peter Barrington

Dear Mr. Barrington,
Orders will be fulfilled. Whatever tariffs the Bretonian government levies will be taken care of. We aren't here to cause any friction within your facility. One thing Bretonia's finest do well is keep their lanes fairly clean of pirates which makes life much easier. We look forward to continuing business with you.
