It's okay, they'd likely react the same way if your character was a "insert socially unpopular minority of choice" too, don't take it personally, they've had years to settle into every character being molded from a small set of cookie cutters.
As for feedback, obligatory eww a gallic.
Sweet dramatic roleplay, nicely done.

Looks like I should underline add that info it in the first place, since character is summary of such experiments, however due to amnesia caused by some further experiments with Nox in Gallia, he knows nothing about it - ooRPly mostly because I need to set up who did that and how they both ended up in Gallia, in order to avoid contradictions within lore. However, unlike Chocolat, Red is more a defect rather than a successful project mostly due to minor genetic issues as time to time he is coughing with blood.

Well, she is, since it actually happened in game in New York and is effect of Royal Lynx being blue'd. To be honest, it was planned some time ago as well, more as a variant of hostile encounter from Bretonia (since during more serious encounters I think out several variants how that encounter would influence the further roleplay) but then, XA- fit the job perfectly. In short, encounter with Xenos was shaped into form of a story.
I don't understand why you have to RP a furry. I mean, what benefit does it bring for your character? Sure, you can RP an open-minded gallic citizen, you can have him have a foster sister, etc etc. I do not, at all, understand why you think it's necessary to RP a furry in Discovery. There's literally no lore evidence that such a thing exists, and just creating some 'experiment'-lore on the go seems at least as iffy as RPing a genetically engineered supersoldier. You don't see people RPing Space Marines that often here, because no one takes them seriously - and you will, inevitably, suffer from the same issue.
My personal take on this is the following. I don't care what people are into. If you enjoy RPing an anthropomorphic animal, go for it in environments and Lores that allow for it. There's tons of RP communities around, there's tons of lore examples where you can RP as a furry. On Discovery however, you do nothing but shatter the suspense of disbelief for people that don't want furries in their Discoverse (understandably so, I might add) and, by doing that, their immersion. Therefore, I will be going with the same as some people before me.

As for this here:

There's a clear difference between trying to stick to the lore that is established and hating on social minorities. I could be going on the same direction that you just began and start crying that I am so mistreated and misunderstood, but I will not bother doing that and instead deal with the reality that there are people with opinions. Might try that yourself, it helps.
My policy all the time was to ignore things that strayed too far from official lore. I ignored obvious imports or twisted them around so they would look ridiculous. I ignored that Klingon or whatever it was and I will ignore all animals flying spaceships, as I do ignore weird character origins and people way underage.
You seem to have the writing skill and ability to make interesting encounters. The way some people look forward to interacting with you shows that. So why the furry? Is that to get more attention? To get more people up in arms?
I think the problem would be the encounters happened and it cannot be easily retconned for now, but I'm fine with that and changing everything would be seen as bowing down to the pressure - what I want to avoid at the moment. As for the questions "why you did that?"
Because I wanted to try something else, since lore neither mentions such things nor disallows existence of crude and forbidden genetic experiments (given how advanced humanity is in Discovery and some people will surely try to play Doctor Moreau). Racism and disbelief was point of this character, althrough inRP ones rather than ooRP - and I have my own agenda behind it. Not to mention I was heavily inspired by ideas behind AB Family created by other forum member. However, please do note I do not powergame things, and everything is done without serious lore violation, that's why I did not clearly stated that "X" or "Y" was made in "Rheinland/Gallia/Bretonia/needless scratch" - other factions and players are not affected in any way.
The fact that there are some people clearly interested into such roleplay overweights the cold attitude, criticism and reservation, which I do respect since you have full right to do so. Controversial? Perhaps. If you don't want to deal it - simply don't. If you want, well... not that I care, as I said you have full right to do so.
But if there would be even only few people interested, it is all worth the hassle.
As you said by yourself only few people are interested to RP with this. It would make much more sense to create a human char, solve the problems and have more RP interactions. Unless you are making your furries just to annoy people.
I honestly have to say that I don't even read any of the things you write on the forums just because I see that animal being used as a character picture. I am alright with anime and these things since these pictures are just to get a basic grasp of what a character is supposed to look like.
But if someone plays an Animal, Klingon or any other stuff that is not a Human, Nomad or one of these Machines up from Kappa, that I still have no idea what they are about since they changed their lore more times than pi has positions after the decimal point, then I am really not looking forward to any interaction.
Do you play any human characters? So I can look at the way you play normally?
