Subject: Explanation of fight around Freeport 11
This is Trent from Order Flight Wing 197.
This is a message to explain the reason as to how, and why a fight broke out within the Freeport 11 Zero-Fire zone. Here is the declassified report from my desk:
Report: 10-11-817 A.S
I jumped into the Omicron Delta system from the Omicron Minor system, soon after wards I synched communications with Order Black Squadron pilot Nightfire. We traded pleasantries, where we saw a hostile IFF enter our scanner range. The IFF was of the Liberty Police, with "DRIIVEX" on the SQUARK systems.
I drew close to get into cargo scanner range, where I saw a Mercenary ID on his computer systems, and also some Corsair pilots within the cargo hold. I immediately fired my Cruise Disruptor to halt him, and demanded an explanation as to why there were Corsair pilots in his ship. He then thrusted into the No-Fire zone, where I could not stop him from docking with your station. However close in tow was the Corsair pilot 'Ivan'.
The Mercenary undocked, this time we attempted to contact him again, demanding an explanation of his actions. Still we got no response.
He then engaged in hostile action against the Corsairs by firing on the locals, this was deemed as an act of aggression to the Order's allies, I then authorized the use of force to expel the Mercenary from the area. I also stressed that you take the utmost care to not damage the Freeport at any cost. "Be careful of the Freeport, pick your shots! Don't hit the station at any cost!" I said.
The fight went how a normal fight went, we traded blows and began to overpower the Mercenary, however what he did next was an act of utmost cowardice, he began to use the Freeport as a shield against our attacks. We attempted to continue our attacks, and we didn't hit the Freeport, but the Mercenary was not as careful.
Overtime, we began to lose concentration as the fight drew on, and Nightfire made the tactical decision to fall back, as one Mercenary is not worth damaging the Freeport.
I then flew to Yaren for resupply and rest.
Report ends.
That concludes the report.
I ask that the Zoners bar DRIVVEX from access to any Freeport in all systems.
You also have my apologies Zoners, I authorized the attack on the Mercenary within the No-Fire zone.
"while i do appreciate the detailed report of yours - there is no evidence attached to it. - so it is your word "only" that is put up against this mercenary. there are a few open questions though....
- did he release the corsair pilots when he docked with freeport 11, as is the law to maintain peace on the station?
- what ship types were involved in the enagement? - fighters are not really able to even scratch the hull of the station - with the exception of heavy torpedos or nova class cannons. - capital ship weapons are of course prohibited.
- was any contact possible with the target during the incident or after?
while we do value the word of our allies high enough to function as evidence, we cannot deny this individual access to the freeports. - however, i will instruct the station command to keep his eyes open. - should it happen again that this pilot puts the station into a dangerous situation - i will place a bounty on his head.
so - further evidence of his wrongdoing is appreciated - if it happens again.
Elizabeth Tate, cpt of the persephone II"
postscript:
"if you feel that these measures are not going far enough, you can present your case before the council to achieve a decision."
I assure you our Pilots would only do what is right to maintain the peace in our already dangerous space. If it will be of any assistance, I will contact my pilot "Nightfire" and ask him for his account on this event. Perhaps, however unlikely, he will have taken a picture from his ship. I will let him know of this situation immediatly.

"if hard evidence is provided, i will personally set a bounty on the head of this person that will ensure that it will not happen again - in this lifetime. but i would also need further information about his shipclass and type if thats possible.

Thank you for the quick response ally, I do understand my word may not be enough in this delicate situation. I refrained from openly posting the evidence in an open transmission. Anyone could listen in.
I hope this evidence will go well in the inquiries, I do regret that I didn't copy the communication logs. I apologise there, as I did not forsee that the fight would commence. I was busy with the controls since the enemy was more maneuverable.
crime: violating the safety of Freeport 11 by starting a firefight close to the station and using the station as cover for personal gains.
reward: 5.000.000 for a confirmed kill
Freeport 11 will pay for 5 destructions of the target. - required for the collection of the reward will be:
- a screenshot of the destroyed target
- a brief description of the engagement
- a screenshot of the start of the fight ( where you tell the target why he is being attacked )
- the bounty shall only be collected by ships of fighter / bomber class
- the target is to be informed WHY he has a bounty on his head BEFORE the engagement ( no learning effect if you tell him after you blew him up... is there? )
* screenshot and report has to be PMed to the forum account "Jinx" - it must not be posted in this bounty offer ( cause i will not check it - so you won t get any payment ) - only PMs are being considered and only the first 5 that arrive - once the 5 destructions has "expired" i will notify the bounty board and close that bounty.
