Despite how bright the system was, the planet still saw darkness. An ash cloud drifted over what was a lush jungle, now littered with craters and debris. All was quiet, until the sound of an engine rumbled through the air. No lights were seen, the ship was navigating entirely by the computer. The black ship set down next to what seemed like a pile of metal. Most would assume it to be remnants of a building from the bombing a few years back, or maybe it was meant to look that way.
The pilot opened the ship's cockpit, the interior light momentarily lighting up the fighter's exterior. On the wings were two symbols of their government; The Coalition. The pilot's face was obscured by a full environment helmet. Despite the plant life that survived the attack, the wasteland was still irradiated. The ship's pilot walked to the pile of metal, and as they drew close, a door opened. They swiftly walked inside, closing it behind them. As the door closed, the pilot removed their helmet. Revealed was the face of a young girl, a native of the planet not yet in her 20s. Ahead of her was the corridor of a once great warship that had long since fallen into disrepair. The lights were dim, wall panels missing, and flooring loose.
Now in the relative safety of home, the girl seemed apprehensive as if she had to return, but didn't want to out of fear. Deciding it was best to face what was coming, she proceeded down the hallway. The rest of the ship was in similar shape to the entranceway. It had obviously been here for a few years, longer than the young pilot had called it home. The pilot knew where the person she needed to see was. On the bridge, as always. She came to the bridge doors and waited for them to open. It always took longer than normal, it was the most active room on the ship and most urgently needed repairs. As the doors opened, a figure was standing on the other side. A tall, slender Kusarian woman with thin shoulder length hair. On her face was a scowl, a scowl that had not terrorized the Coalition in many years. Kyu Tsukuda.
