From: The Office of the Premier
To: [re] Jack Henderson, Independent Miner's Guild
Priority: Low
[Message Begins]
"The Coalition acknowledges the Guild's claim to Mining Rights to the Minsk System and will uphold said rights should foreign corporations attempt to establish their own operations in the area. The Coalition's claim is both a tactical claim to discourage the Houses or Corsairs from acting upon any claims they have in addition to being a scientific claim due to the opportunity it presents to the Katz Institute to study the formation of the star system in it's early stages.
So long as the Guild respects the Coalition's ownership over the system the Guild is free to survey and mine resources from the belt and clouds should they bare fruit with the request that the Coalition be given first consideration for trade of said resources. As for the New Beijing System our cooporation is quite valued by both those here in New Moscow and our people living onboard Kamchatka Station and will continue to look to the Guild as an unbiased and reliable source of mining experts and equipment."
The Guild has contacted the Coalition about its recent claims of Omega 55 and Omega 9 and we would like to inform you, our most trusted ally in the Omegas, about the diplomatic advances concerning this development.
As you know, in 01-21-821 AS the Guild claimed potential resources usage rights in Omega 9 and managed to defend their claim at substantial cost against conflicting House claims and fierce Rheinland opposition. The Red Hessian movement played a great role in the discouraging of a Rheinland intervention, so that their imperialistic corporations could be kept out of Omega 9, and I would like to use this opportunity to thank you.
The Guild stepped away from Omega 9 after initial surveys did not show an economic feasibility and after scientific research came to the conclusion that the jump hole anomalies might be unstable and the system could be cut off from access. The proxies that the Guild used to keep a foothold in Omega 9 for more than a year were abandoned.
After the Coalition staked their Omega 9 claim, the Guild approached them, informing them about our 01-21-821 AS claim, and they accepted to support IMG's claim on resource use, mentioning explicitly that the goal is to keep the Houses from gaining further influence.
Knowing that the Red Hessian movement is the primary power in the Omegas, the Guild would like to state that after we managed to 'defend' our resource claim, we also want to clarify that this resource claim by no means exclude Hessian development of the potential mining areas. Should there be resources found at any time - which is highly doubtful though - we will exploit them together to the best of our options, hand in hand with the Red Hessian Movement.
To keep every move transparent, I'm opening the following transmissions to reading access: Message #10, Message #11.
The Guild is looking forward to our continued successful cooperation in the Omegas, and I can see a real chance by aligning Coalition, Red Hessian and Guild agendas in the Omegas to halt the spread of imperialistic House ambitions or the Core.
Yours sincerely,
Jack Henderson

For the same reasons you intend to stay in omega-9 for only a year, are why I never cared about the system much to begin with. The system is a wasteland polluted by infected Buro agents and gunboat drones. I STRONGLY advise caution with the drones. Some of my pilots have not returned from patrols deep within both the nebulas due to the high presence of drones in the clouds. Resources would be better consumed near the systems star.
None the less, we accept your claim and appreciate you notifying us directly. Should you find anything please notify us immediately.
