I will be concise. As the Admiralty is aware, Auxesia provides sterling paramilitary support to Parliament’s security services, via our current protection agreements within Bretonia proper and the Omegas against pirates, smugglers, terrorists, infected and other assorted malcontents who seek profit from degrading the government’s zone of control. Whilst we cannot claim entire credit, hard crime forecasts within Albion’s space-ways have dropped up to 13% since Auxesian counterinsurgency operatives have augmented the local navy battalions. Yet any intensive exercise of military force over a sustained duration will take an inevitable logistical toll - as, grimly, both of our services know all too intimately. Saving lives is not bloodless, nor is covering the thousands of klicks of trade lane arteries chaining Bretonia to Rheinland gentle on our spacecraft. We hope that we have been able to save BAF operatives from similar attrition - especially in the context of your war with the Alliance’s common nemesis - troops spared from the border worlds can be put to better use at the front - yet we ourselves are not immune from the realities of interstellar war.
Auxesia is an organisation possessing a swarm of military grade strike craft from every cranny of the sector, with personnel disciplined in every school of military philosophy. These divergences are our strength (we are a microcosm of the Alliance proper), but also our primary crutch. Maintaining and servicing such a myriad of ships, from every production serial from here to the nomad war, with components jury-rigged in the absence of mass production facilities, is extremely expensive and requires ample time. Even with extensive automation of carrier-borne repair systems and the in-house mass production of omni-functional repair nanobots, the cost of fighter operations are still thirty percent higher per fighter than what they would be with a house’s logistical chain. Fighter purchases are therefore a necessity to keep Auxesia’s ability to counter the K’hara at its operational max, especially in the light of our steadily increasing manpower pool. The adage rings true in perpetuity: fighter pilots need fighters.
Auxesia humbly requests the Crown considers granting us lend-lease purchase of four, unused, Bretonian fighter and bomber craft bearing serial construction dates of March 823AS, or newer, to supplement Auxesian forces engaging in anti-piracy and anti-nomad activities within the Crown’s dominions and elsewhere. The fighters will experience duty tours with the Auxesian task force based within Omega Tribus, in defense of Bretonian economic assets against the Red Hessian Army and the Corsair Empire. We will treat the spacecraft with the respect they deserve, and aim for their service with us to more than pay back their loss to the BAF’s fighter corps. Of course, we don’t expect a free lunch. Auxesia, in return for the transfer of the vessels, is prepared to make an initial offer of one-hundred-and-twenty million credits (120,000,000 S.C) for the spacecraft.
Terms are outlined as follows:
Strike craft to be purchase from the crown:
- 2 factory stock models of B-1290 "Templar" BAF Very Heavy Fighter(s).
- 2 factory stock models of B-3000 “Challenger” BAF Heavy Bombers.
Thank you for contacting us. I have spent some time discussing this with the Admiralty, and we are very much interested in your request, and offer. I should be noted that Admiral Hall speaks highly of your assistance alongside his fleets, so thank you.
However, I do have one slight problem that I must touch on before any agreements can be made. the Republic of Liberty is one of our oldest and closest allies. They, amongst others, have had.. let's call them disagreements, with your organisation. It is my request that, should we agree to your proposal, that you and your forces aim to avoid any political fallout for Bretonia, by restricting the craft and their usage to against elements Bretonia deems unsavory.
If you can agree to this slight condition, then I would like to propose a slight change to the arrangement. You will, as proposed, receive the four snub craft. This remains unchanged. In return, we ask for only 100 million credits. A slight change, but it is an extremely generous offer. Upon agreement, payment may be made to the "BAF|HMS-Avalon". From there, proper arrangement will be made for the credits to be assigned to appropriate projects.
I must once again thank you for your extremely generous offer.
On behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, and her People in the Realm of Bretonia,
Fleet Admiral Michelle O'Brian First Sea Lord
Commander of Her Majesty's Armed Forces
Bretonian Command
Allow me to thank you for the swift response on behalf of the Kingdom. We can understand the concerns you may have due to our standing with the Republic of Liberty, but rest assured that we have no intention of ever inciting conflict with their forces. Our duty is to protect people, not drive them to conflict. As such, avoiding the use of said craft within Republic territory to prevent any damage to your relationship is something we can strive for. Our policy on Republic forces is to act only in self-defense. To not incite violence or insult them. Because of our stance, there are many within service to the Republic who have decided against firing upon our patrols, due to their assistance in eliminating the local Rogue and Maltese element.
The mentioned term is acceptable, and payment has been forwarded to the targeted account. I thank you once more for your candor, and I look forward to future agreements between the Crown and Auxesia.
