LOG MM-067 Wrote:Hey, Alan- uh, Admiral, rather. First of all, uh- well, one of your boys said he got your pod, so I'm gonna hope that you're not dead an' not injured. I'm sorry about- about all that that went on earlier. I tried ta pull the new blood off'f ya, but-
[There is an audible sigh.]
-look, I'm sure you can understand that tensions're runnin' kinda high. I can' say much - I'm sure y'understand that too - but I wanted you t' hear it from me properly an' everythin'. Feels kinda bad havin' to turn guns on Guardians.
[A brief, wry chuckle follows, leading into an awkwardly long period of silence.]
When- look, when this is all over, I'll buy y'a drink or somethin' to make up for it. Assuming that, well-
[There is a brief, decidedly sharp pause.]
-never mind. Just- if it were up to me, I'd be callin' a ceasefire right this instan' until everythin' got figured out, but- well, you know it ain't up to me. Just try not to get yourself killed out there, will you? That goes for the rest of 'em as well - I saw O'Neill go down as well, and a couple other of them Fifth Fleet boys. I hope they're okay as well, an' if you'd pass on my regards to them if ya get the chance, I'd appreciate it.
[There is another, smaller sigh.]
Well- that's about it, I think. I'd love to- I'd love ta talk more, but I've pro'lly already said more'n the Directorate would approve of.
[She chuckles again, quietly, though she doesn't sound overly happy.]

Hello Marissa.
Well that was hell of a way to catch up if you ask me. But nonetheless I did expect you to be better than those bigots of your director.
The Navy and the Republic needs me more than ever right now, so there will still be something for me, O'Neill and the others to carry or so. I understand though, you did what you had to, but thanks for being reserved during the whole thing, you know. I guess you deserve a drink for it as well, but uh, anyways. Listen, a ceasefire would be as good as it gets, though it just cant really be done right now, as we simply can't have any confidence on whats brewing from Adenauer after those actions. The Department of State has been made aware and soon enough they'll be letting out a public statement even though it's taking quite a while as it is. In any case I'd advise you to try to stay as vigilant and cautious about the whole thing. I'll see if I can put a good word for you if anything happens. And call me Alan. "Sir" and the likes sound.. just a bit odd when they come from old friends and so.
Anyways, best of luck and and best of regards Commander Marshall. Admiral Jones, out.
