I would like to congratulate Colonel Marc Lauren, on his latest appointment in La Legion Etrangere. Hitting the ground running I met with him and General de Brigade Xion Sisco today to discuss battle maneuvers and tactics.
Colonel Marc Lauren suggested the formation of a new wing of 'swift' fighters to help turn the tide in fighter brawls to our advantage. Having got hold of said fighter, I was very impressed with the handling and suitability of it for its proposed role.
We engaged in some test fights and the fighter out-performed other ships of its class aswell as heavier ones. This is how we will win the war, by overwhelming the enemy.

Bonjour,
This is an important report being filed, it all started off with a mission objective in Newcastle, where the Bretonian Armed Forces had some sort of prototype Bretonian Dunkirk Battleship-class with a support fleet of Dunkirk's and Overlord's and light support crafts. The mission was simple, search and destroy, leaving no survivors. For this mission I took the Montrueil gunboat-class and acted as support for our lighter vessels. The whole mission was a success but the prototype Battleship-class escaped with minimal damage to it's hull panels. I advice all units to proceed with caution when being approached by the vessel by the name of HMS-TITAN-"Equinox"
After the engagement within Newcastle, the remaining vesses return to Battlegroup Bethany, including myself and the crew. I then proceeded and retook command of the Devestation Valor Battleship-class and proceeded to Magellan where we regrouped to the MRG|RNS-Ressentiment. Moments later a Alcatraz Rogue moved towards what was left of Freeport four. The pilot was named Diana Daymarova. We all had a discussion and I believe we may have a potential alliegence in the near future.
Myself and the radio operator of the Ressentiment started discussions with madame Daymarova and it appears we both have something in common. We are both enemies of the Liberty Navy and Bretonian Armed Forces. So with this common enemy of ours something special could potentially happen. I have requested for madame Diana Daymarova to send a neuralnet transmission to myself as soon as they can regarding our little chat.
What the chat consisted off was to gather information and intelligence about the Liberty border and the surrounding systems of California and Magellan. The more information we can get the higher chance we can cut the supply line fully from Liberty to Bretonia. If that is done then the war with Bretonian will be short lived in the near future. With this in mind what the Alcatraz Rogue requested in return was nothing of much cost, but something they are known for. Alcohol, the rumours have it, the Alcatraz Rogues have a bar within the California system and they are always running low on their beverages, and everyone knows that we have the finests beverage within Gallia. So in exchange for the information and the attacks on supply vessels from Liberty to Bretonia they request a large sum of our finest beverage. It is not too much to ask for but we will see what happens in our discussion within the coming days.
I also wish to contact the Lane Hackers, they seem to have very large precense within the border systems of Liberty as well as Magellan. There maybe a very god use to get in contact with them, they may have information or more intelligence that we could purcharce from them for a price, but loyalty and respect goes a long way.
From: Général de Brigade Xion Sisco Location: Planet Leeds Encryption level: High Topic: Dublin Patrol Bonjour Général.
I took the RNS Honneur to Dublin to investigate reports of a possible hostile station just beyond the minefield. Upon entering the system via the jump hole in Leeds, I engaged my cruise engines, and began a standard search pattern. I reached the edge of the minefield (Evidence), and decided to proceed into the field at low speed to continue my patrol. It wasn't long before my sensors picked up a derelict ship, which turned out to be the remains of an escort ship (Evidence). A quick scan of the wreck showed nothing of interest, so I went back to my patrol once more. Not long after, I detected weapon signatures coming from an area in quadrant EF 23, near the jump hole to New London. Upon closer inspection, I discovered that the weapons were actually the defense platforms of a hostile base that goes by the name "Goldern Coin" (Evidence). I attempted to move in close for better scan data, but I was immediately fired upon by the platforms, which caused a shield failure, and slight damage to my port aft cargo section. After moving out of range, I decided to return to Leeds for repairs, as my crew was reporting structural integrity problems in the adjacent cargo bay to the damaged one. We made it back to Planet Leeds, and are currently conducting repairs, and inspections.
Today the Vengeance Battlegroup was involved in maneuvers in the Magellan system. We cleared out quite alot of enemy ships we encountered.
However on return to Battleship Carcassonne loud screams from Royal Navy pilots could be heard over the local comm system and then we were set upon by an unknown hostile force of what appeared to be alien ships. They were equipped with very powerful beam-type weapons and were moving at incredibly fast speeds. Our gunners had a lot of trouble shooting them down, R.N.S Vengeance sustained heavy damage from the attack but she was soon reinforced by a bomber wing and Obstinate Battlecruiser from the Vengeance Battlegroup. The efforts of Colonel Laurens and Capitaine Reyes saw the remaining attackers off and we were able to rtb without any further losses. Word of warning to any Legionnaires on patrol in the Magellan System, if further encounters with any unknown ships occur please report them immediately! As this on-going threat is still being assessed.
I shall send a communique to our R&D division to see if they too, can provide any further information on these aliens
From: Mary-Anne Reyes To: Royal Navy Foreign Legion HQ Encryption level: What’s that? Topic: I did some stuff you may want to know about. Salutations, boss.
We got ourselves a few dead enemy ships, a few hundred more bits of Military Vehicles than expected, and possibly a sandwich. I took on the inaccurately-named “Invincible”-class Bretonian Carrier and forced them to seek cover aboard Southampton Shipyard. Then a few minutes later, a representative of the LSF sought to make me surrender my ship, whereupon he learned of his folly in threatening the nice friendly Foreign Legion officer. After that, backup arrived in the form of Liam O’Malley and the pilot of the Legionnaire, and we had an encounter with some sort of BIS agent in a Condor. That ended well.
During our return to the Carcassone battlegroup to get some R&R, we caught the ship Avalon with a load of Military Hardware bound for New London. However, because we’re always watching, the ship was intercepted and re-directed to Planet Leeds, to feed our need for military hardware. We should keep our eyes on that one. He looks sketchy.
Anyway, that’s everything that transpired for me that time.

[01.07.824 09:03:46] [RN]-Mary-Anne.Reyes: You see, His Majesty has kind of decided that Military Vehicles delivered to enemies of the Crown are to be... discouraged.
[01.07.824 09:05:08] Avalon: Ok, and what should I do now? Could we solve this Problem here? I mean ... you know some people dont have to know about this

[01.07.824 09:06:12] [RN]-Mary-Anne.Reyes: What made you think you could slip past His Majesty's glorious forces and sneak a load of military hardware, however pathetic?

[01.07.824 09:06:19] Avalon: I mean, it would be better for both of us, if the cargo wont be destroyed

[01.07.824 09:08:11] Avalon: Ok, that would work for me
[01.07.824 09:08:20] [RN]-Mary-Anne.Reyes: Well then. Let us be off. He then comes along without further trouble.
[01.07.824 09:10:28] [RN]-Mary-Anne.Reyes: I see you have pale imitations of our Gallic Engines.
[01.07.824 09:10:38] [RN]-Mary-Anne.Reyes: Have you ever considered a career where you can use the real deal?
[01.07.824 09:11:23] Avalon: Sounds interesting. Maybe in the future, at the moment Im making just money
[01.07.824 09:11:29] [RN]-Mary-Anne.Reyes: I get the feeling.
[01.07.824 09:11:54] [RN]-Mary-Anne.Reyes: I bought this crate with my own money. The Lynx is a great ship, but I like this for the utility.

Today the Vengeance Battlegroup was involved in maneuvers in the California system. We encountered little resistance on our patrol, our route took us through Manchester, Cortez and then California before ending up back at Carcassonne. However, as we were about to depart for Leeds, a Liberty Navy arrived in Magellan consisting of a Carrier, an Overlord Dreadnought and a Bomber escort in tow. By the grace of god, R.N.S Vengeance and R.N.S Illustre moved to engage the enemy fleet.
The carrier fell quickly to our guns, however the cowardly dreadnought L.N.S Omaha of the 5th Fleet proved more tricky due to its continued hit-and-run style tactics. This was possible only because we had no assistance from smaller craft to disrupt the dread from fleeing, that being said Omaha was heavily damaged and later took leave to the California system but did not return!
R.N.S Illustre was badly damaged by the Dread and Bombers but managed to make it away from the battle without further incident.
Soon after, a Liberty Battlecruiser from the First Fleet L.N.S South Dakota arrived on scene and began to engage R.N.S Vengeance this coupled with the attacking bombers made for a grim situation however we were later joined by Legionnaire Liam O'Malley answering a call on the distress beacon he swiftly took down both Liberty bombers.
R.N.S Vengeance was critically damaged in the attack and towed back to Perth Station to undergo repairs she will likely be out for at least a week! Regardless of this though I fell we held our own today, tomorrow we will do better.
Today R.N.S Vengeance was involved in maneuvers in the Dublin system. We encountered a lone Dunkirk class H.M.S Richmond that was heavily damaged and a number of Molly ships. It seems the Mollys were determined to destroy the Dunkirk alone, so the RO put the Vengeance on stand-by while we watched the fight unfold. However with just a cruiser the mollys were no match for the Mortars of the Dunkirk. So I gave the order to attack, we made light work of the Dunkirk before moving off to New London. The Mollys were concerned with our presence in the Dublin system but I assured them that we respect their borders and so we left without further incident.
I am quite fond of the molly cause, they strive for their freedom and have given tooth and nail to defend it.
Later that day, we amassed a battlegroup with the MRG and moved to invade the New London system. This time I was particularly jubilant with the arrival of a New Valor class, an experimental vessel with enhanced armour plating and modified weapon arrays.
This beast of war was built to dish out some real hurt: GRN-TITAN-"Orient" is the vessels name and it joined our battlegroup into New London.
Our Legionnaire detachment consisted of myself in the Assaulte.01, Sous Lt. J Berne and Colonel M Laurens commanding the R.N.S Devestation.
We faced minimal capital ship resistance however our snubs were overwhelmed by the sheer numbers of fighters, I myself succumbed to the action and was brought down however I was picked up by the Devestation. Later, the rest retreated back to Leeds. So, overall I would claim victory for the day but not a result to be happy about!
Next time we need to go in prepared for these kinds of eventualities, you never know what will happen out there...
Hello La Legion Etrangere,
I have some good news for you, In the next few days I am to embark on a very important diplomatic mission to the House of Kusari to meet with dignitaries of the Kusari Kaigun and Marine Royale Gauloise.
Aim for the meeting is to build closer ties with our Kusari friends and hopefully begin a new era of joint military operations between the GRN and KNF in the Tau regions. As you, may very well know the Taus are key to the supply lines of the Leeds Front and constant attacks by Imperials and other undesirables make for slow progress. So we need to start hitting back.
For the diplomatic mission I will require a personal escort of at least 3 - 4 Legionnaires who can protect me from any would-be aggressors we may encounter along the way. Our route will not move through Imperial controlled systems so only a light guard will be required.
Général de Division - Francois Drake, signing off. Vive le Roi
This is a bit last minute, but I had to record our most recent encounter in Tau 31 yesterday. We got wind of what seemed to be a Brigand raiding party heading through the Taus toward Leeds. To my surprise we found four of them lounging around the Tau 29 gate. Their raiding party consisted of a l'ane transport and 3 snub craft in escort. I was accompanied by Sergent Liam O'Malley, and after a quick foray of words I gave the order to attack. I am not sure what they were doing there or what was going through their minds when they decided to enter a system that is patrolled by the roi's forces. But it was a mistake they soon learned to regret as we were able to neutralize all four ships.
Meh I dont trust those pesky brigands, if you do see them about you know what to do!!
note: they fly the FB| callsign
From: Sergeant de His Majesty Tristan Duval Encryption level: High Topic: Patrol Log #018 Bonjour, frères d'armes
Today's report is dedicated to an event that happened to me during the patrolling of His Majesty's Leeds system. This day was pretty calm and there were not any hostile targets on the scanners. Then I decided to change the position and move to the New London system in attempts to find any enemy contracts. In my hands was the determination to defeat any enemy, but what I met there did not fit into my plans.
There was almost nothing, so I flew to the Cambridge system, where, according to rumors, there was a secret laboratory. What I saw, pinched me in fear. It was a carrier - HMS Finalizer. However, what can scare me, the soldier of The Crown? I rushed into chase in attempts to stop this ship. Finally, I managed to catch it, but, suddenly, he opened a heavy fire! I barely managed to dodge, but he used this time to start running away, like any bretonian cowards.
I continued the chase. It was very difficult because I was constantly fired at. I called for reinforcements, however, no one came. In the end, near to the New London planet I was caught by CR fighter. I was out of nanobots and shield batteries without any chances to win I rushed into fight. My ship was almost destroyed, but I managed to dock with the nearest line and save my life.
Nothing new here. Bretonian cowards are bretonian cowards. Even on battleships they are trying to run away from the single fighter.
