Hopefully this didn't feel like too long of a wait for you. The freelancer who supplied this log to me is rather obviously reformed now and no longer under whatever.. Influence the overlord seems to think he has. On an unrelated note, peach is significantly inferior to red.
I'm quoting Mister Nomak here, they work for Samarran 'unity' and the nomads. It's in the logs if you want to double check. I'm afraid it can't be any more obvious than that, especially when he's their leader from what I'm able to see.
(C~Jared.Nomak: There you are.
Chrysaetos: Sarah: Luckily you made it out alive after all. *smiles*
(C~Jared.Nomak: It's my job to stay alive.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Forgive me for my foolishness... I always fail when I want to impress females.
(C~Jared.Nomak: I'm a Samarran.
Chrysaetos: Sarah: So, what's your job exactly, if I may ask. *simles*
(C~Jared.Nomak: My name is Jared Nomak. I'm overlord of the organisation called Commune.
Chrysaetos: Sarah: A samarran?
(C~Jared.Nomak: We are going around Sirius universe, having adventures.
Chrysaetos: Sarah: Oh, sounds like somethin I might enjoy. *smirks*
(C~Jared.Nomak: One moment.
Chrysaetos: Sarah: Sure, take your time. *smiles*
(C~Jared.Nomak: Well... our mission is unique one.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Perhaps, you won't like that.
Chrysaetos: Sarah: I'll judge after I know the mission. *smirks*
(C~Jared.Nomak: The mission is to save humanity from it's self destruct.
(C~Jared.Nomak: We... we go around Sirius and, we do collect things.
Chrysaetos: Sarah: That sounds honorable.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Things that would bring ordinary man into danger.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Well, not honorable to the rest of Sirians.
(C~Jared.Nomak: What do you know about K'vosh?
Chrysaetos: Sarah: The K'vosh?
Chrysaetos: Sarah: Not not really.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Never heard of it?
(C~Jared.Nomak: Very well.
Chrysaetos: Sarah: But maybe you can tell me about them. *smirks*
(C~Jared.Nomak: We are collecting the left overs of this ancient civilization.
Chrysaetos: Sarah: Dear Overlords.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Oh stop it babe.
(C~Jared.Nomak: My... work is very serious, but I can sometimes take a bit of rest.
(C~Jared.Nomak: The mission.
(C~Jared.Nomak: To create Utopia, unite the people.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Where there wouldn't be poor or... where there wouldn't be crime.
(C~Jared.Nomak: We track these left overs.
(C~Jared.Nomak: That bear great power... power as a power source or a power, as a information.
(C~Jared.Nomak: You know, there's this power cell that could turn a place like New York into... waste land.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Our job is to not let that happen.
(C~Jared.Nomak: By taking it away from wrong hands... be it with force, if it is needed.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Our work place. All over Sirius babe.
Chrysaetos: Sarah: Woah. That's good to know.
(C~Jared.Nomak: My organisation is a band of brothers and sisters, sharing the same goal.
Chrysaetos: Sarah: A dangerous weapon or whateverer taht can destroy a whole system should be kept safe.
(C~Jared.Nomak: And, this might interest you the most.
(C~Jared.Nomak: I'm a one of most wanted "criminals" babe.
(C~Jared.Nomak: They hunt me everywhere.
Chrysaetos: Sarah: Might be they want to size the power for themeselfes.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Well.
(C~Jared.Nomak: I like how you have brains... miss?
(C~Jared.Nomak: What is your beautiful name?
Chrysaetos: Sarah: Sarah.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Sarah... wonderful name.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Like a flower.
Chrysaetos: Sarah: *blushes a bit*
(C~Jared.Nomak: People indeed seek those leftovers for their own power.
Chrysaetos: Sarah: Heh, thanks pal.
(C~Jared.Nomak: That is the self- destructive natural need of humans. It's like we're programmed like that.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Pal...
Chrysaetos: Sarah: Don't want me to call you pal?
(C~Jared.Nomak: Call me whatever you feel like babe.
(C~Jared.Nomak: So... tell me more about yourself.
Chrysaetos: Sarah: Yeah, I've been a freelancer for a while now.
Chrysaetos: Sarah: Grew up in the borderworlds and wanted to escape the awfull freeport.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Ah... the Zoners.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Well... are you still seeking for a place to be?
(C~Jared.Nomak: Or you want to fly around individualy?
Chrysaetos: Sarah: Heh, I found a friend i New York, a freelancer aswell, but to be part of a group is tempting.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Is there anything you wanted to become...
Chrysaetos: Sarah: Space is lonely sometimes.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Like, is there some obligation that you ever dreamed of?
Chrysaetos: Sarah: I havn't really thought about that to be honest. *giggles*
Chrysaetos: Sarah: But saving humanity is a noble goal.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Well... it is noble.
(C~Jared.Nomak: But only a few recognise it.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Rest consider us as terrorists.
Chrysaetos: Sarah: That's for sure.
(C~Jared.Nomak: But not many know why we are doing this.
(C~Jared.Nomak: There was this planet, Samarra.
(C~Jared.Nomak: From which I had to escape.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Many years ago.
(C~Jared.Nomak: My predecessors, who visited it first were Zoners.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Over the centuries Zoners ideologies about peace and individuality were forgotten.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Small groups were created, hungry for power.
(C~Jared.Nomak: And there was call it, civil war that was creating more and more dead.
(C~Jared.Nomak: But then... what you call Nomads, showed up.
Chrysaetos: Sarah: And group?s hungry for power fight eachother.
Chrysaetos: Sarah: The Nomads.
(C~Jared.Nomak: The war ended. Everyone was united and worked for the good.
(C~Jared.Nomak: We were one happy civilisation.
(C~Jared.Nomak: But they, as I believe, after they realized their mission was over.
(C~Jared.Nomak: They wandered further. We were on our own.
(C~Jared.Nomak: I was born in that time, as they were leaving.
Chrysaetos: Sarah: This does not sound like the Nomads everyone's talking 'bout.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Of course...
(C~Jared.Nomak: I will get to there too.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Those greedy for power have showed up again. And we were at war once again.
(C~Jared.Nomak: In that time, I was a mercenary... I lived in deserts.
(C~Jared.Nomak: We stepped in to support a guy called prince Darius. He was the last one of the loyals to Them.
(C~Jared.Nomak: But we lost... we were pushed into corner. We had to leave. Darius was killed and me and my friends got into the lead-
(C~Jared.Nomak: position.
(C~Jared.Nomak: We were hunted as we got out from Planet, and we reached the wormhole, which was unstable.
(C~Jared.Nomak: We jumped and voila, we were at Sirius, barely alive.
(C~Jared.Nomak: That is what we work for. For the unity of Samarra.
(C~Jared.Nomak: And the Nomads...
(C~Jared.Nomak: Tell me this, Sarah.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Imagine you had a backyard.
(C~Jared.Nomak: It's your house hold.
(C~Jared.Nomak: And you had intruders, armed to teeth.
(C~Jared.Nomak: They wanted to kill you. What you would do? Would you defend your house hold, or you would run?
(C~Jared.Nomak: Of course, you had with what to defend with.
Chrysaetos: Sarah: Though choice. I possibly defend what belongs to me and what's important to me.
(C~Jared.Nomak: The Nomads have arrived here before... let's say us.
(C~Jared.Nomak: us, as a humans.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Considering that the Zoners, who settled on my planet, begun their way from here.
Chrysaetos: Sarah: So, they defend what's rightfully theirs.
(C~Jared.Nomak: But wait.
(C~Jared.Nomak: They didn't claim Liberty or Rheinland.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Just one small portion of Omicrons.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Rest of the Sirius was left to us.
(C~Jared.Nomak: This is where whole thing begins.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Organisations like the Order or Core, begin pushing them.
(C~Jared.Nomak: And they fight back.
(C~Jared.Nomak: If this wasn't truth, I wouldn't be here speaking with you.
(C~Jared.Nomak: And believe me, I've seen places that no other human ever saw, or will ever see.
(C~Jared.Nomak: With their allowance.
Chrysaetos: Sarah: So, they only defend themselfes against "us".
(C~Jared.Nomak: If you would join me on my struggle, I could show you how much they are pushing.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Zoners, for example.
Chrysaetos: Sarah: They want to protect their, well, loved ones, their heir.
Chrysaetos: Sarah: Join you...
(C~Jared.Nomak: You don't have to yet.
(C~Jared.Nomak: You can stick with us.
Chrysaetos: Sarah: Fight for a better world...
(C~Jared.Nomak: I will show you the truth and then, you will be left to decide on your own.
(C~Jared.Nomak: We fight for freedom, not for being imprisioned.
Chrysaetos: Sarah: Yeah. That sounds good.
(C~Jared.Nomak: I will show you.
Chrysaetos: Sarah: Thank you. *smiles*
(C~Jared.Nomak: Zoners and some even Maltese, with their capital vessels go where they shouldn't.
Am_I_Cute?: Gurl: Ou show her what *Blushes*
(C~Jared.Nomak: We take them down daily.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Hello there.
Chrysaetos: Sarah: Hey there.
Am_I_Cute?: Gurl: Young man, space is no place for your naughty bits to be on display
(C~Jared.Nomak: You're getting this wrong, whoever you are.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Though, it is truth. I have slight interest in this female in the gunship.
Am_I_Cute?: Gurl: Well All I herd was you were going to show her somthing
Chrysaetos: Sarah: Oh,really. *blushes*
(C~Jared.Nomak: But, my mission, requires me to have more people with me, and to forget about my personal wishes.
Am_I_Cute?: Gurl: And young man you've got some stiff competition because I also find her rather cute
(C~Jared.Nomak: But yeah, it would be good to have a woman, together on my quest.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Well...
(C~Jared.Nomak: You are into the females, isn't that so?
(C~Jared.Nomak: Well, here's one thing for you.
Am_I_Cute?: Gurl: So how about it cutie pie...me you... some casual piracy to pay for a nice shopping trip in Gallia
(C~Jared.Nomak: She's mine.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Back off.
Am_I_Cute?: Gurl: Maybe finish up the day with some naughty fun *She smirks playfully*
Am_I_Cute?: Gurl: Rawr
Chrysaetos: Sarah: Erm, well, I, I don't know.
(C~Jared.Nomak: I see.
Chrysaetos: Sarah: I'm not that into women, you know.
Am_I_Cute?: Gurl: Awww C'mon don't be shy.. I'm gentle... at first *Winks*
(C~Jared.Nomak: Boom. See you.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Anyway, where we were...
(C~Jared.Nomak: I can show you what I'm talking about.
(C~Jared.Nomak: Then you can decide if you will come with us or not.
Chrysaetos: Sarah: I'd be honored.
Am_I_Cute?: Gurl: I think the lady can speak for herself young man... I dont think she needs someone like... well you to speak for her
(C~Jared.Nomak: Of course, my work, my mission, forces me to leave my personal wishes aside...
(C~Jared.Nomak: But, you know. We could do something about it, too.
*She takes a long breath of the cardamine stick between her fingers and smiles. The smile seems quite forced.*
Mr. Reeves. I have to admit, I was wondering if you'd be so quick as you showed yourself to be.
You are quick... but...
*She takes another puff and spins the stick between her fingers.*
I have a slight problem with the information you have shared with me.
You see... to put it simply... there is a difference between someone saying something... versus someone doing it.
I believe you understand what I am getting at.
The information you provided is quite expected from our own intelligence, but ... I am looking for something more concrete.
Rather... the only thing here that is of use to me are these two lines:
Quote:(C~Jared.Nomak: That is what we work for. For the unity of Samarra.
(C~Jared.Nomak: And the Nomads...
This is not enough, Mr. Reeves. I hope you understand this.
The rest of the communications you have showed me is just flirting.
That, and also you have showed us that the Commune intend to "save" humanity and save New York from being a wasteland.
It's quite the opposite of what we had in mind to uncover.
Now darling... I would like something better than this.
Something that shows the proof that we are both after. Their actions showing their help towards these Nomad beings.
I don't suppose you have access to something that isn't just voice recording and flirting, do you, dear?
Allow me to remind you of part of the delightful conversation we had:
Quote:[28.04.2017 14:43:59] Avery.Reeves:404: As I was stating..
[28.04.2017 14:44:30] Avery.Reeves:404: Scattered reports seem to indicate that the commune have actively sided with peculiar forces against locals.
[28.04.2017 14:44:30] /time
[28.04.2017 14:44:30] 2017-04-28 14:44:26 SMT
[28.04.2017 14:44:41] Avery.Reeves:404: I'll track down the pilots who submitted these reports and ask for the evidence.
[28.04.2017 14:45:05] Avery.Reeves:404: If they fail to comply, I'm sure your avenue of operation could be made.. easier.
Is what you have submitted to me reflecting what you were talking about?
You spoke about the database in Westpoint. Am I to believe this comes from there?
As you see... unfortunately, simply just this wont do...
Please let me know if you have any more sources to take information from or if you are depleted.
In that case, I hope you can do as you suggested and .... make my avenue of operation easier.
Understandable, this report came after I attempted to trace the whereabouts of the respective pilots. That went as well as you can imagine so out of resourcefulness I obtained recordings from a Freelancer with some sort of past connection to them.
There are several other sources I could approach as well as simply having someone follow them discreetly once they are spotted within Liberty to where it is they truly go to once they bug out to Kansas from Pennsylvania. But if you insist on your own avenue operations, that can be arranged.
I will state that the first time I ever encountered Mister Nomak was during the Freeport-11 incident, not the most recent one but the one from a while ago, relatively speaking. It took quite a bit of racking my mind to remember, but he and a nomadic husk that specializes in hunting were assaulting transports and their escorts.
While this may seem as mere hearsay, Mister Weisen can corroborate my presence in the region during the aforementioned time and as I have said before, the Lane Hacker word is iron and so is mine.
Inform me if you want my sources to handle this or if you would rather end this quickly through your own methods.
There are two variables that play an important role in this operation, Mr: Reeves,
Efficiency, and Time.
If you can get information from your other sources by the end of today that show the Commune's action in collaborating or protecting nomads, that would be excellent.
Provided as well... there is no problems that you make for yourself.
I understand some people can be more nosy than others, Mr. Reeves, and some of your acquaintances may not appreciate you speaking to a Lane Hacker.
In this case, if you are able to locate information stored on a frequency or database that you don't want to be traced for, allow me to do the dirty work for you.
All I would ask from you is to provide the general location of the files. You mentioned before that most data is stored on Westpoint, correct?
Do some browsing and let me know if there is anything stored that can be of use.
And Mr. Reeves... to give you a peice of mind, I give you my word that the extraction will be clean and with no ... nasty.... surprises.
I had just lay down in bed and closed my eyes.. then I hear my P.D.A beep again.. no rest for the wicked I suppose?
Let me get changed and then I'll drag myself out to West Point locate said patrol files and let you do your thing. I'm stretched far too thin right now with issues on the front-lines, domestic terrorists who have inappropriate relationships with Xeno weaponry. Relay any specifics you might have, I'll contact you again when I'm at the appropriate terminal and from there things will be in your court and I'll have kept my word in at least some semblance.
I'm thankful you're willingly giving me your word, a little trust goes a long way. Stay safe and remain vigilant. Transmission: End
The specifics I need is just evidence of the Commune and Nomad entities working together.
If I have this, I will be a happy Lane Hacker, and you will be happy yourself, as per our deal.
For your own protection, I do not wish for you to stay long around the server I may be infiltrating. To make things quicker for me, though, I would need you to insert a small piece of code on your end. It will just be in the form of a file that you can easily and discreetly put in.
Please do not worry about any damage this may do to the servers. While I am fully capable of such things, think of this as a 'Trojan' of sorts that will just open a small hole through the firewall for me to gain access. After I am finished, I will remotely remove my little aid. I can assure you there wont be any traces or damage caused.
Of course, you wont need to access the server room itself. Any terminal connected to the server will work fine, though the server room is best.
One more thing, if for some reason you get caught or get accused of something, feel free to put the blame on me.
I'm sure it will pass.
We've hit a snag in the form of an access code change. My old naval access codes do not operate successfully upon the terminals at West Point anymore, forcing me to contact the relevant parties to willingly submit their information to me. I understand this is not what we agreed upon and may take slightly longer, but the information will be submitted to you as soon as I have a hold of it myself.
My sincere apologies for this mishap, something must have bred internal distrust for this to have happened, though I doubt I was the catalyst.
Fortunately for you, I had anticipated a hindrance to the plan.
Very well, darling, I trust you wont disappoint. Please let me know when you find anything of use.
If you need help from me to gain some trust for you, perhaps we can arrange something.
Enclosed below is a report tendered by the E.S.RD about the Commune, I requested them for it upon the grounds of an investigation which I have now made a bona fide effort. Be advised, I did not share any of my information with the operative who tendered this to me, yet their report more or less matches the one I submitted to you, on multiple points as well.
Quote:As far as reports go on this organization, you're not likely to find much apart from their aggressive and fanatic nature leading to engagements. While they do identify themselves under the Outcast flag so to say, they are quite different from the others. They're closer to fanatical terrorists rather than being interested in the black market, cardamine smuggling and trafficking for a profit. They have also shown to be rather ideological, accoring to their mentions of an unknown superlative being or belief, regarding to it as some sort of deity and themselves as it's servants. The same thing that pushes them "to collect bodies" for it, putting it in their words.
Their motives and intentions remain unclear or unknown, nonetheless the ESRD suspects it to be rather paranormal activity, either religious or a cult of worship. The questions stand at what this "deity" of theirs is, what their goals are, what is at the core of their cult and any other information that can be of use. Sadly that still remains to be answered.
Speaking from personal experience, the difficulty in acquiring that information is that it is carried on by their own members, who of course refuse to any kind of cooperation. I managed to intercept one of them in the Vicinity of Manhattan, who was strangely different from past encounters. Going by the name of Filippo Ossari, he claimed to be a scientist and definitely not aggressive. Not the less it ended up with an engagement due to noncooperation. So if anything he's likely to be your best lead.
I'm keeping the operative in question anonymous, purely because they've been a good friend. I wouldn't call it a lack of trust, I'd call it a precaution. I'd rather not have any fallout land upon their shoulders especially when these are my actions. I am however being stretched fairly thing in how far I can go to get whatever it is you'll require to nail these squid-lovers. I can keep collecting reports and I can assure you, most if not all will match.
My efforts are focused in reviewing matters of the border, specifically the front-lines. Both to minimize risk of an infiltration by the rumoured Gallic Intelligence as well as to undermine the war effort on their side. This is a full-time occupation and not one I can multi-task from very effectively. If you still require more information I will keep trying, but this is beginning to get hard for me to do so many things at once.
Time is short, my darling, and I believe it has come to a close.
From what I can see here, the reports of the Commune and the Nomads working together is pure rumor, spun by the Commune themselves.
In this report you sent me even, I cannot see anything mentioned that would be used towards what I need.
I believe this will conclude my search with you on this topic.
It seems I will have to do it the old fashioned way.
