I, Madeline Sabine IV of the Bordeleaux Household of Lyonnnais, Coureur of the Marine Royale Gauloise and Commander of the RNS L'Esperance (Perilous-Class GRN Corvette), have done service.
The L'Esperance continued its routine patrols today. From data collected from our earlier encounter with the Bretonnian bomber, we decided to requisition fighter escort this time - in the form of a young cadet by the name of Mia Antoinette, aboard her "Caracal" light fighter. Our route began from our rendezvous in the Tau-23 system, and after an initial briefing on today's patrol and the inherent risks therein, we departed for Tau-31 and the Leeds systems immediately. Initial sensor scans of the area showed no unauthorized vessels in the area, and so we continued our patrol to the Magellan System, and then on to Dublin, where we conducted more local system scans, lest any BMM, BFF or other miners were operating with impunity in a system claimed by Gallia, or if there were any more blockade runners attempting to use Dublin as a staging ground for the lucrative gold ore routes that take them from Bretonnian-held space to Gallia where their cargo is sold. We returned to Leeds shortly thereafter, and backtracked further to the safer shores of Tau-23 where both the Rose Noir and the L'Esperance remain docked and are undergoing maintenance checks.
Henceforth I strongly recommend sending our patrols out in complements rather than singular vessels. I must also commend the cadet on her professional conduct, and while we encountered no Bretonnian or Libertonian contacts, I am confident she will do fine and perform satisfactorily. I would like to request that she be transferred to Bordeleaux Shipyard on Lyon in my jurisdiction, as I refuse to see good talent waste away in the backwaters of Tau-23.
[13.06.2018 01:12:47] MRG|TL-'L'Esperance: Bordeleaux: I like you, cadet. We should have tea when we both get some time off.
[13.06.2018 01:14:49] Rose.Noir: Oui.We would have to see how much of freetime my shiftplan allows me to have.
[13.06.2018 01:15:28] MRG|TL-'L'Esperance: Bordeleaux: Absurd. We are Gallic. Not Rheinlanders. We are civilized people who let ourselves have fun once in a while!
[13.06.2018 01:17:14] Rose.Noir: Alright. Well...tell that our Flight Commander...he is one of the: "you have to use your freetime to train on the sims" kind of people. Most time it is 9 to 10 hours you have to get some rest between shifts after the training is over.
[13.06.2018 01:17:59] MRG|TL-'L'Esperance: Bordeleaux: How ridiculous. Send me his name when we dock and I will have you transferred to my wing.
[13.06.2018 01:18:11] Rose.Noir: I will gladly do that.
[13.06.2018 01:18:19] MRG|TL-'L'Esperance: Bordeleaux: I will not have GRN officers slaving away like peasants.
That concludes this patrol's report. I intend for my corps to begin Transport Logistics operations in the coming weeks. I will remain in touch.
Bordeleaux, out.
Cordialement,
Madeline Sabine de Bordeleaux IV, MRG
Marquess of Lyon, Margrave of Lyonnais,
