Sender: Maitre Felix Dorian Recipient: La Marine Royale Gauloise Catégorie: Happenings in Orkney, Science Liner Chamonix
Bonjour,
While I have not been racking up kills on the battlefield, I have been setting up our new primary science liner, the Chamonix. Upgrades have been consistent, with the most recent being a Cloaking Device Mark III. This device was built at Melun Research Station, and has paid off already during anomaly sweeps in Orkney.
My warnings about the Egilsay Prison have been proven correct, as a Secret Intelligence Service agent, Jonas Hudson, attempted to stop the Chamonix in the Arnon Asteroid Field. He appeared to be flying a snubcraft, which would have been able to stop the Chamonix and evade it's defenses, had it not been for our cloaking device. As acting captain, I was not about to let him steal our Scientific Data, and decided to engage the cloak, rather than try and scan another anomaly we detected in the area.
The agent himself was impressed with the maneuver, as he should be. After arriving at Fort Albi, I gave the order to start using empty areas of the Chamonix for the construction of a small, internal experimental weapons factory. With this, we should be able to convert what we know from the data into real, and very deadly weapons for our ships on the frontline.
In other news, I've sent out a communication, calling all available Royal forces to join us in the attack on Egilsay Prison. That base must be destroyed if we are to continue our scientific endeavors in Orkney. Plans for the assault have been finalized, and we will need at least 3 Valor Battleships in order to conduct the attack within a small timeframe. Prolonged siege will only allow more enemies to try and stop us in our tracks.
Continue the good fight, and grant The Crown the victory we all deserve. Vive le Roi!
