Bonsoir.
Upon receiving my charter of the former rear-line patrol vessel Constant, I elected to take the vessel on an immediate shakedown cruise through our rear lines into New London. After passing through Agincourt without incident, I happened across a Privateer of the Bretonian Crown, who fled immediately upon sighting my vessel. Nevertheless, he was quickly followed and his engine mount was removed quite forcibly. The data is attached below.
After dispatching that troublesome individual, the Armed Forces arrived in their own patrol vessel, the Indefatigable. Unfortunately, despite the help of Capitaine Leclerc, I was unable to subdue the enemy craft and was forced into a rout after the Constant received serious damage. I believe putting in for a re-fit to heavier cannon is in the best interest of future patrols, should the Bretonian response be similar; their heavier armor and precision armaments proved quite effective at shorter ranges.
Once repaired and re-armed, the Constant set off again from Leeds, whereupon I gave chase to a Sirian ne'er-do-well who was attempting to supply the Resistance on Leeds. While unsuccessful in my initial attempt to subdue them due to the vessel's greater speed, once reinforced by Maitre Marchant, we together took down the smuggler and confiscated what illicit cargo was possible, destroying the rest on-scene.
That will be all for now. Sincèrement,
Jean-Paul Bourdeau
