Madame, Monsieur,
Today was a most glorious day. Under the command of Commandant Pierre Vaillant, our fleet set off from our chosen rally point in Tau-23, in the direction of Tau-37. The task at hand: the confrontation, and ideally the extermination, of the Pariah forces, known by the Sirians as 'Outcasts', infesting the auTauroute and its neighbours. Unfortunately, the recording equipment aboard my ship was knocked loose by an asteroid collision on the way to the combat zone, and I was thus unable to capture the task force's embodiment of the CORE GALLIC VALUES as we sallied out valiantly against an enemy of superior quantity to our own. Thankfully, however, the self-repair systems kicked in shortly, and I suppose the G-forces my ship sustained during the fight pushed the sensor pack back into its proper place, because I was able to capture the deaths of three of the four Pariah capital vessels we sundered that day - one of which died at my own hands (or munitions, rather). The other two were the wrongly-named "El.Innocente", felled by "Royal.Torpedo", of the same type as my own bomber, and the "MNS-Abraxis", destroyed by the thunderous might of the MRG's "Lazurite" Obstinate-class battlecruiser. There were also two Pariah battleships present; elegant, deadly ships, that have no business being in the hands of up-jumped drug dealers and their cronies. One was destroyed very early in the fight, alas before my recording systems were repaired. The other, the L\-MNS-Saint.Mark, survived the battle, although it was critically damaged and will no doubt cost them large amounts of resources to repair. Sadly, I was not there to see the end of the fight - I was, disappointingly, a casualty of friendly fire, during one of my runs against the Saint.Mark, being forced to eject. Still, it was a good fight, and a good day.
This concludes my report. Vive le Roy! Vive Gallia!
Sincèrement,
François Hannart de la Vignolle-Haute
