First of all, greetings and salutations. My name is Dave Sanders, I'm the CEO of PanGalactic Travel. You may have seen us around, we're an Orbital Spa and Cruise affiliate.
Let me get right to the point. We're an expanding company, and we're in need of a corporate headquarters: right now, our official headquarters is aboard my ship, the Far Horizons, and, as much as I love it, it's a working ship and it can't exactly be converted to office space and meeting rooms. Recently I had to hold a meeting in the first-class cabin, and that just won't do.
So, that is why I'm asking you for permission to fly a Bretonia Royal Liner as a corporate headquarters. The ship would serve as office space, recreation space for off-duty pilots and have meeting rooms for any business deals we may undertake. Plus it would provide us with a permanent address, and not just "whatever planet we happen to be on at the time".
The ship would likely stay in the vicinity of Manhattan or Curacao unless on a diplomatic assignment, in which case it would be moved to wherever is most convenient for the potential business partner.
Anticipating your response.
Yours,
Captain David Sanders, CEO, PanGalactic Travel Company
The Bretonian government has always enjoyed a close relationship with Orbital Spa and Cruise and Pan-Galactic Travel in particular, not least because many of our senior BAF officers tend to take their leaves onboard Pan-Galactic Cruises, or at the resort on Planet Curacao. With this in mind, and on the understanding that the vessel will be used only for the express purposes outlined above, I am willing to accede to your request.
A royal liner, the HMS Excellence, just retired from government service in the Foreign Office is currently in Southampton shipyard, being decommissioned. Rather than scrap the vessel, we would be happy to sell the ship to your corporation, to be renamed and outfitted according to your needs.
It would naturally be appreciated if this ship could be used with restraint in regard to potential combat situations, as we would not wish a Bretonian Government manufactured vessel to be associated with any diplomatically embarrassing incidents.
Yours sincerely,
Commodore Stanley Nelson
BAF Diplomatic Officer
