I will just say that I have arrived to the conclusion that PVP is good and makes you feel better and relaxed over the day, but what sustains the life of the server is the RP in it.
Working on getting better at PVP can be tricky and painful sometimes. A waste of hours, learningship & meeting the wesker where you loose in less than some secs.
-Enjoy the PVP itself, doesnt matter if you loose or not, you will get better by loosing to the good PVP'ers. You will be good at the time you start enjoying the fight itself, not by getting frustrated for loosing over and over again.
Please stop the rage and start enjoying the mod, this game deserves more good fights and good logs .
well i can go on and on about how im probably the person who has played FL the most in this topic,as well as arguably trained the most people outside of my clan,how that nomnom guy has obviously not tried to think about how to actually fight and has just relied on vids,about how that karlota said to train 4 newbs and go against 5 aces- BEEN THERE DONE THAT,cuz quite frankly every XTF goes through training(recruit period) of at least 3 months during which ive probably trained most of em , about how no one taught me and it took me 3 years to learn to engine kill and reverse thrust properly cuz no guides back then , and about how people think pvp whores want to rule all the plebs but in reality we want to find a good enough opponent so we can become better when fighting them and when we reach what we think is our limit then the game becomes to train the best newb from scratch
but who is gonna listen
as for the balance stuff,the ammo changes were stupid , the nukes were ok and spaming them should have remained an option of desperation and a lucky gambit for newbs to be able to do stuff - they wouldnt have been able to do anything in 70% of the time anyway cuz pros know WHEN THE NOOBS THINK THEY SHOULD DROP THE MINE and just cd
sidewinders ignore cms-fix that,other missiles are useless - make them more like vanilla though a bit slower so as to not become hhc
cds and cms should be 50
MR should be rolled back to .84
guns should be as follows - 2.00s - slow rate of fire high dps ,3.03/4.00 - average rate of fire average dps( cuz higher chance to hit),8.33 high rate of fire and lowest dps- because again the damage has to be countered by the chance to hit , flashpoints are cancer
refer to .84 to changes for capital ships-was good back then
connect systems which are rivals so raids are easier to do and take less time - example ocs and sairs have lost the Eta connection that they use to have hence the decline of both
CONSOLIDATE,the server does not have the manpower to have meaningful interaction like this
remove conn-yea as a pvp whore im saying it-remove conn,if you wanna fight,do it for real (will both encourage interaction between factions and stop the Q_Q that newbs die in conn to pros as they will play in a more controlled envirnoment by their faction, also when i get bloodthirsty i wont just have to log conn,kill some nerds and log off but will have to go raid hence will attempt to gather ppl for raid,hence will also promote the defenders activity) but none of that will happen if you dont make it easier to raid cuz atm i aint gonna waste an hour to go to a system so i can have a 20 minute fight so to hell with that,why should i log anyway
no one will ever take this post seriously but since i have some free time i dont really mind making it

Ammo is being fixed. Noobs generally realise they have to get better. Not every PVPer who isn't highly adept is a "noob". Some have lag issues, worse connections, a more sluggish mouse, or simply cares less about getting good.
I strongly agree with removing Conn for PVP. Let factions train against each other ingame. It's still useful for transfers.

I don't think that this is a good idea. Conn is an important part of Discovery which is as beloved as it is because you don't need to meet up with factions inRP and handle stuff out and simply let the RP fall back a bit and just pew. Freelancer is a PvP game with an RP aspect, removing the only thing that grants you the freedom of pvping without RP beforehand will be met with a strong disapproval by people who use Conn the way it was intended to. The only restriction I could advocate would be opening Conn only at specific hours in the evening. Activity is usually high enough in the evening so that a considerable part of the players can shoot their minds out while a far bigger part does the roleplay.
thats stupid since you can just change chars,its not like everyone doesent have 3 accounts full of caps in 10 different factions,i mean the accounts i alone have should have around 50 chars in em in various official and unofficial factions
Removig conn may improve things a little, but will never be alowed to happen.
Roleback changes will certanly improve things, but judging by roleback of snub Missiles, if happens, it will not be before winter of 2023.
Conn is necessary because it is the place where you actually meet people who could teach you pvp. In a raid, those who die first never get the chance to actually learn. I've had that problem for years with my bad-pvp-crowd. They did not advance because in real fights, they just were shot down so quickly that a learning process could not even start. I've learnt most of what I know in conn, and after that I managed to become somewhat useful at least in group fights.
Furthermore, not evrybody has ships everywhere. It's a veteran thing to just be able to log wherever to pew in your own ships. Especially the new/inexperienced players would lose an easy chance to get to a place where they can ask questions in a rather controlled environment.
I however agree that it would be cool if more interaction and more real fights happened. It's a totally different thing to fight in Conn or outside.
