Abend Generalmajor, docking port 7 has been cleared as per your request. The Raido operator announced to Anna and her two guard pilots as they entered the Giftnebel nebula. As the group entered the opening within the cloud, all traffic near port 7 was clear, and traffic was substantial in the other areas. The construction effort to house more people flooding the Volksrevolution had been underway for a few months, some noticeable changes to the exterior of the asteroid left a decent impression on Anna. The pair moved in near port-7 the Baroarbunga sitting on the other side of the Omega-54 jumphole, the chatter between the radio operator of the Baroarbunga and the SOA operatives grew and grew as the group moved into the hangar. Anna landed her ship in the upper center of the hangar bay, the two Odins parked in the corners. Below Anna could see two large sets of soldiers in ranks, along with an officer at the end of every few lines, waiting for her to exit her vessel. The soldiers remained in their ranks as Anna exited her vessel, she walked up to the front row of soldiers. Looking at each of them as her guards moved up next to her. After walking horizontally for a few seconds another set of footsteps broke the silence, it was Faust. Generalmajor. He put his fist over his chest as a means of saluting, the men followed up immediately in sync with the Brigadegeneral. An improvement to their prior appearance, yes? She replied, still walking along the front line looking at each soldier, none of them dared stare into Anna's eyes, they all kept their eyes front. With no flaw, ja Generalmajor. He replied immediately, he was informed of the Generalmajor's arrival but was uncertain as to why. After hearing his reply, Anna walked up to Faust and spoke with a quieter tone. I want to see the construction effort, once I've seen the internal progress we'll discuss the events of Cairo. She began to walk down the center of the hangar, inbetween the two large ranks of soldiers, Faust followed at her side, along with her two personal guards following behind. Inform Director Draay he's going to be a part of the meeting over a private channel as soon as we're finished. She spoke up again as the group walked to the exit, there was a lot to discuss.
Michael Wolf had infiltrated the station couple days prior. Rather than brandish United Resistance's ID or pretend to be an important official from one of the many fractured Bundschuh cells he would take identity as just another fighter patrol of Volksrevolution looking for some R&R prior resuming his tour of duty. Bundschuh were more than welcome, he had found and been treated fairly, almost as good as regular Hessian militants though they made no mistake that there is still divide between the two: Both had their own undiminished pride seemingly cancelling out the other. 'Schuh pilots were by far more civil and took moral high ground to dismay of Hessian that respected and commanded power.
None of them was alarmed about the former Colonel. In fact he felt left to his own devices. He made sure that it was really the case, spending considerable time of day 1 to check that no SOA agent had been on his tail. These brutes would break everything if caught: it was of utmost importance that no one would alarm any authority that could cable him out to rest of Bundschuh movement. As far he was aware, his enemies both very much lethal and those political were about. It had to stay that for little longer.
The second day, he set out watch over Hessian Army protocols, update his knowledge at RHA and SOA alike from safe distance. They felt more than safe at heart of their own installation which made observations all that easy.
Third and final day he received word that Anna Heinrich has crossed into Vogtlands perimeter. It was easy to have a look out being able to approach Hessians that close. Heinrich was a different cookie, always surrounded by army of obedient murderers that followed her out of both fear and discipline. None of them would look at Anna the wrong way. All he had is to corner her retinue and come in clean and weaponless to deliver the data-stick. Information within and Anna's discreet help was one of things that could save the VWA. She was lat'se Haupt's friend and maybe it will be his ticket in before SOA tackles him away.
Anna, Faust, and her guards approached the shuttle waiting for them outside the hangar bay. Anna looked off into the distance, taking in the numerous amounts of skyscrapers, some of them new, others familiar. Seeing the station in such a manner brought back memories, very unpleasant memories. After you, Generalmajor. Faust's tone broke Anna's daydream into the past. Anna walked aboard, she sat down in the bench furthest from the cockpit of the shuttle, Faust accompanied her while her guards moved aboard. The shuttle shook as both of the 6'8" guards marched aboard, their body armor and size made elevators a hassle. As they entered one hit the door twice, signaling the pilot to take off towards the main construction area. Zhe overall population has increased in an astounding 43% since you took zhe rank of Generalmajor, food and water are in a surplus. However housing, as you know has been a growing issue, zhe engineers assume zhe exterior modifications will give us stability for zhe next 8 years. Faust spoke up as the shuttles engines started up, vibrating the ship lightly, within the next few seconds she could feel the vessel accelerate, they were moving. Traffic had been cleared out along their path, and two Odins took flanking positions on either side as the shuttle moved. The LWB are back, and in the fold, soon Wiesbaden will become an option for civilian personnel. Anna replied, lying back against the wall, taking brief glances out the window. Zhat poses great risk. Faust spoke up with uncertainty, and he was right. Once Wiesbaden's true nature was disclosed to the public it wouldn't be long before the Union and MND got word. Extra assets will be committed to ensure it's as secure as possible before we move people, we've already anticipated the Buro and Union. I have no doubt's the planet's surface will turn into a warzone, but we don't have an option with the catastrophe that awaits. Upon finishing her statement, the shuttle came to a slow stop, the doors opened, both guards stormed out of the ship immediately, looking around to ensure the area was as secure as promised. Faust exited by Anna's side into the building being used as an HQ for the construction order. Two lines of soldiers stood on either side of the small hangar bay, as the group walked down the hall, a short man came up to greet the group. Generalmajor Heinrich! He made the same gesture Faust did, Anna did the same in response. Chief Vogel, I see the exterior construction is going according to schedule. Anna replied with hint of optimism. The chief walked up next to Anna, standing half as tall as her, she appeared more as a giant than she already was. Standing at 6'1", she towered over some of the soldiers in the ranks. The group walked down to the door at the end of the small hangar. Progress has been going as ordered, the exterior structure is holding, shielding is in place to protect against the acids from the nebula, so far there have been no reported delays. As the door opened to the next hall Faust spoke up. I will need to part way momentarily to inform the Director, Generalmajor.Go ahead, meet me back at the Headquarters in an hour. She responded, Faust broke off, Anna and her guards continued to walk with the Construction Cheif.
The seventh landing port upon Vogtland cave city was hastilly and efficiently cleared by the ground crew. However, the sheer vastness of the massive asteroid made Wolf only catch a glimpse of Heinrich's group that headed off towards restricted zone full of construction workers expanding into still unnocupied sections of the cave. He had intentions to pursue and try his look, but judged to remain behind and approach General on her way back. Impressive fighter with extensive engine-work she had left there, there is no way Anna would ever let it be used or moved by any but her own hands. He would know no one who would dare to relinquish any custom-built spacefaring craft to someone else. That also meant she would come back for it.
He had read about Heinrich from information left behind by Nika Haupt, her close friend and ally. If Ostara was to continue its struggle in current capacity, they needed a moor in Rheinland that they could utilize without risking another betrayal from Bundschuh. Ostara was the most ambitious project, proof of concept for United Resistance's potential further use of destroyer-class assets where before there were only but handful of gunships and corvettes. It could not be jeopardized by petty internal bickerings of everyone else: this was very reason he remained hidden and isolated from the movement.
Kapitan Wolf believed Anna would help, if only for sake of older times. He was not afraid of getting his hands dirty unlike Kluggman to achieve victory and Hessian leader had most blood on her hands of all. He laid back in the shadows, awaiting Hessian group who would inevitably get back to him at some point.
About 50 precent of the lower level populous have moved over to the new exterior voluntarily, others are moving in accordance with demands in accordance with the Brigadegeneral, but at a slower pace. Vogel finished his statement with a hint of fear, Anna didn't like falling behind schedule, and with the impending catastrophe she was even less forgiving. How long until the lower level populous is evened out? She replied, not taking any note to the Chief's obvious stressed statement. We estimate it will take nearly two months if the involuntary residents continue to act as they are, many are resistant, some have even fled. Anna was not pleased, not with the Chief, but the general populous. Questioning and even making things into a hassle was far out of line, they needed to be reminded what was expected of them, this was the time to remind them. The migrating populous will be further persuaded soon enough, I wan't final renovations completed within the next two months. Send weekly reports of the civilian traffic flow to Brigadegeneral Faust.Ja, Generalmajor. The pair finished their tour of the construction site, the internal designs were far more appealing than that of an average apartment in the asteroid itself. The only fear was a possible attack on the station, but the final renovations mixed with Vogtland's 24/7 security would be more than prepared in the event anything did miraculously happen. Anna took one final glance at the edge of the asteroid where the construction had begun as the pair approached the shuttle bay atop one of the nearby buildings. Don't fail me Chief, the Volksrevolution is counting on your success. Anna said as she walked aboard the shuttle that would take her to main command center, her guards walked by the chief and onto the shuttle.
Anna arrived at the main command center, which had looked almost entirely the same since her last visit years ago, SOA guards were seen at ever possible entrance point to the building. Odins were patrolling the upper levels of the building, constantly in communication with the operators inside the building, it was a fortress. Being in her position Anna was guaranteed haste passage through dozens of doors, elevators, and other means of keeping the building impenetrable. The group finally made their way to the final elevator, the escorting officer entered with the Generalmajor, Anna halted her guards. Wait here, redirect anyone heading to meeting room. Anna straightened her uniform, adjusted her gloves, and waited for the elevator to come to a stop. As the elevator began to slow down the officer turned and extended his arm in respect. Anna exited immediately as the elevator doors opened. The room she entered was quiet, only Faust was present, the large table in the center of the room was a hologram projector, but it wasn't on. The Director? Anna asked upon seeing no image. He was not present, his first officer stated that the Tangier situation is developing and required his direct attention.Developing? Anna replied as she walked over to the projector, after dialing a series of numbers a comm link opened up. Major, get on the line, we need to speak. The hologram immediately projected an image of Viking, who appeared to be walking to an enclosed area. Ja, Generalmajor.Status update, now. Anna replied very fast, nearly cutting Viking. The situation of the Planet's surface has developed against us, the laboratory in question is now completely contaminated with infected personnel. About 41% of the personnel infected have survived and are hiding within the lab. Anna's eyes lit up blue, the frustration built into anger as the Major continued to list out the consequences of their failure. An initial attempt to cleanse the facility yielded no success, shortly after the infestation large numbers of nomad vessels were picked up near the Omega-58 Jumphole. In an attempt to suppress the nomads Director Draay lead a team into the Omega-58 system. The team was overwhelmed and forced to retreat. If this was some accident the Director will be paying with his life.It was not, the man responsible is in our custody, Dr. Hans Engel released a live specimen...Bring me the Doctor, I'll have a word with the Director in person when this is resolved. For now follow his lead, I wan't daily updates. Anna replied, her tone grew aggressive, trying to supress the rage from Draay's attempt to keep the incident a secret. Ja Generalmajor. Viking closed the comm link. Well it seems the events of Cairo will have to wait, the Order will soon be looking for sanctuary here, monitor them if they come in.Ja, General.I'm returning to Wiesbaden, have Brigadegeneral Stahlbrecher forward more troops to Tangier. Anna walked over towards the elevator, as the doors shut she breathed in, processing the rage from the series of events In 47, and the catastrophe at hand. Upon exiting the elevator Anna's guards formed up behind her as they walked to the shuttle bay within the building. The as the group boarded one of the shuttles Anna pulled a small device from one of her pockets, the device looked similar to a cellphone, only the screen displayed a layout of her personal vessel. A digital blueprint, as well as constant updates on any changes, the ship responded to her and her alone. Anna scrolled through the various settings as the shuttle neared the hangar bay where her vessel was awaiting.
Her look was not promising, but perhaps she will not try to release her anger in some way. Uniformed Bundschuh officer came out of his hiding directly in path of Anna Heinrich and her bodyguards. His movements slow and deliberate, to not pose threat or alarm the soldiers. The data chip he was meant to hand over was securely locked securely in one of his pouches. He could only theorize about what occupied her mind right now, though he had some sparse knowledge about Rheinland and her trip towards Omicrons.
"Generalmajor Anna Heinrich. Wolf's the name. I have something important for Volksrevolution to be delivered into your hands only. Advised to review he data in privacy before taking any decision."
These guys flanking their leader were on average better armed than Rheinwerh marine and more happy to kill than Order's own kill-teams. He reached for his pouch in slow manner that they could follow and see that he's not intending to take out any weapon on their 'alpha female'. Wolf only took steps forward as the guards steadied on her personnal order. Well, he got her attetion... exactly what he wanted.
"Apologizes for cloak and dagger, but this cannot be accessed by any unauthorized personnel. I could not risk running this though your intelligence chief or other layer of your security and jeopardize something over simple misunderstandings... hopefully the content will explain to you the need for secrecy. I intend to keep low profile on Hessian territory, awaiting your answer Generalmajor."
"Wolf" the name was familiar, one of the wingmen belonging to a certain someone Anna was close with. Anna gave him an emotionless stare, making sure it was in fact the Michael Wolf Anna had been told about. In any case it added up, only Anna's close friend, and a former resident of Vogtland, would be able to give such info that would lead him right to her. As he took out the data drive her guards reacted, as they aimed their rifles at Wolf the guns could be heard powering up. A few other patrol officers came out, their guns aimed down at the Bundschuh agent. I know who he is, stand down. The patrol officers holstered their weapons, her guard's weapons powered down as they were lowered. Anna took the drive from wolf and began taking off the case to make sure it wasn't a bomb waiting to go off. The patrol officers were startled Anna was so reckless as to take what they though was a bomb and begin inspecting it. After looking inside the casing and confirming there was in fact nothing but a small data board Anna looked back at Wolf. Who is this from? She asked curiously. Suspecting the answer but wanting verification.
He slowly glanced at the escort surrounding them from all angles, not trusting a single one of them. Anna received the surrounded chip, examining it out of habit seemingly as she would not approach him so closely if she believed it to be possible trap. He was not sure if he could fully trust Anna, but they never clashed in disagreements over methodology. If he wanted to tell it now as they were surrounded by way too many wary ears, he would had not come straight into her with all this steath.
"It is from a common friend of ours. Any doubts you have will be effectively cleared by information contained within."
He had felt need to stress need for considerable discretion, he was not in freedom to disclose any further information not unless in four eyes. Even then, everything she had needed to know was inside. All he had to do now was to wait.
Anna immediately had her suspicions confirmed, and in any case was too anxious to turn up what she was given. She looked at it a bit more than looked back at Wolf, starring at him as she decided what to do. As her blank expression began to sink into to wolf, who at this point, was beginning to sweat, Anna broke the silence. See him back to his apartment, if intrudes with any other important matters see him off the station. Two of the patrol officers walked over near Wolf, directing him off the main passage to the hangar bay. It might've sounded a bit harsh, but it was as nice a treatment as one could get from Anna.
Anna was re-assured as to who it was, she was frustrated, having been left behind not once but twice. Anna had few trusted allies, and the person in question wasn't necessarily the most trustworthy person, but she was as close as they came for Anna.
After wolf was moved out of the area Anna continued over to the hangar where her vessel was docked. As they entered the hangar, her guards split off towards their Odins. Anna tapped the cellphone-like device as she entered the hangar bay, the engines roared, the weapons could be heard powering up. Anna was most ambitious to reach Wiesbaden and find out what her little detour had brought her.
