This one will be a direct hit; Hurricane Irma missed us by several miles (though its gusts and rain were felt).
Besides any comments / wishes - it would be fun to know how you'd deal with this hurricane using technology/ships/weapons in Discovery Freelancer.
I'm sure I'll be fine though, though I won't able to play for a much longer time compared to the power outage caused by Irma.
Adios for now, pending RP
xd

Our good boy @Felsvar is living on one of the islands down there. I hope he's doing well. He told us about how the British Marines came over to help, and how one of his neighbour islands was demolished by Irma.
In Freelancer, it helps not being in the same system as Hurricane Spazzy when he's not too happy with the community.
Oh, holy cow! Stay safe out there! So soon after Irma *and* a Category 5, from what I heard of the most recent news report.. That's just nuts!
As for what tech I would use to deal with this from Freelancer... I would probably shoot nomad singularity cannon blasts at the eye of the storm on the surface of the water. Mini-black hole gun, go go!

I'd probably use that gallic rock crawler thing to haul an asteroid to earth, plummit it into the surface and watch everything get nuked.
if we arent there to experience it, we cant be bothered by it, right? ^^
This Galaxy is vast; its wonders and beauty are almost unfathomable. But the galaxy also hides dark secrets, some of which have lain dormant since the beginning of time itself. There is a danger in secrets, both in seeking and in knowing. Some things are meant to be hidden from view. Some mysteries defy understanding, and sometimes even the things we think we know are untrue. Some secrets should remain untouched.
