Can you logically explain why it wouldnt be the fault of spectators if 5 spectators come to watch a bland 2-racer event?
You should ask yourself why spectators are not interested in racing themselves. You should be thankful for any participant, be it a racer or a spectator. Instead you prefer to blame people who are interested in the event but not in the racing itself. That's pretty cheap. I know your frustration when you don't manage to get more than three people to race, but don't blame anyone else than yourself for it. People play for fun, not for your fun.

Frankly, spectators coming wont provide any improvement for the event. The event isnt made for me to have fun. it is made for everyone. If a spectator decides to not participate, they should think if that is a selfish decision. they shouldnt blame the race for sucking and blame the organiser for making a crap event if they don't want to join it to give it a chance
the thing with racing is that if there reaches a 4 or 5 person racer pool, i wont be pissed off as to how much spectators come. It is at the minimum in order to be somewhat enjoyable

Spectators coming to just watch can be argued as them only coming for their own enjoyment and not participating in teh group enjoyment.
if you want to play that card on me, thats your reply.

That's a very poor attitude, and I hope your faction members don't share it. People like those kind of events to meet other people and enjoy interaction in general. It's not like people are just sitting there, doing nothing, as you say. I've attended many AFC events, my favourite are the Blind Jump races and Dublin LF CD+Mine races. I loved the one in Munich, too. I love betting with other people, and those races should encourage to do so. It worked in the past very well.
The more people come, the more people it will attract. That automatically increases your chances of finding more racers, as some people just might simply give it a shot. Foxglove did it at the first race we attended, back then in Dublin, and he had quite fun. I also had fun in the Omicron Delta race event around the sun, sadly that event got crashed by some lolwutty K'Hara.
All you need to ask yourself is why people don't come to join the race as racers. Don't blame people for bothering logging, that's the kind of attitude that the server doesn't need at all. Let them log, let them have fun. As long as they don't acitvely harm your racing event like it happened in Okinawa, everything should be fine. If you can only get three people to race, well, then you have three people having fun at racing that time. Doesn't mean the event sucks. It means there was a lack of attraction to it. I explained why I won't partake as racer this time and I explained what kind of races I prefer. Instead of blaming the spectators, ask them why they come to spectate and not to race. It doesn't hurt. Just do your thing, try to accept constructive feedback and if you want, adjust. If not, continue doing your thing. There is literally nothing wrong with it.
Blaming other people for not coming is wrong, though.

4 people are registered for racing so far
go ahead and spectate
Listen, you are taking this a bit too personally, @"Sombra Hookier" . As the event organizer, my first job is to have the racers have fun. That is my priority. To do that, at least 4 racers must race for it to be enjoyable. Less than that and the event might as well not happen. It would be a waste of time and i would rather spend my time smuggling to create other things to happen in the game.
I'm not being selfish when I make these races. These races are a group activity. You cannot blame me for being aggresive to getting at least 4 racers to come.
I don't hate spectators, but my point is that if there are a lot of people that just come to watch and less than 4 racers attend, there is no point to having a racing event.
Just take the same principle and apply it to lets say a pvp event. The same thing generally happens.
