I don't want to apply as a mod here, just wanna state my suggestions.
SnakThree - As he already said, this guy would love to play sanctionlancer 24/7, so I really think he is able to keep the rules and all that stuff up on the forum.
Divine - Still banned but that guy hates everyone equaly, even me who tries to defend him where he can.
He sticks to the rules, is a badass (asshole) and would decide 24/7 unbiased because as I already said, he hates everyone here.
Zyliath - As people already said, ex. Angel and always loved to help new people, he would probably be a mod that always loves to help you, and as far as I know, he sticks to the rules and could keep this community alive as hard as he can.
Mostly hated and there are not many people I like either so bias is not a problem.
I am pretty fluent with the rules now as is such it's hard to catch me out therefore I have insight.
I spend all my time at work on the forums anyway.
Don't currently lead any official factions.
Currently am employed in a managerial position dealing with worse people than here, have the abilities to remain neutral and civil as required. (I guess I have this community to thank for that)

I'd like to apply for the position as well. If anything, I very much like how this place is ran. I like the discipline, I like how most things are handled, with one or two exceptions, but alas, nothing is perfect. I can be online on a daily basis, albeit a few hours at a time. Work is work, after all, a man's gotta eat.
I've been a part of this community for almost ten years now, give or take. In all that time, I haven't been banned and I don't remember being sanctioned either. I've seen lots of people come and go and I remember a time when the admin/mod team was around 20 people, if not more. Justice was swiftly dispensed back then. But I digress, I wanna help the community survive and hopefully grow and seeing how the forums are our backbone, this is a good chance to do it.
I do have more-than-basic knowledge about software and if need be, hardware. I had a short, but rather impressive carreer in tech support which had its fair share of "can you make this 20y/o computer run last year's photoshop" kind of an impossible requests, so nothing can surprise me anymore. That being said, I'm sure I'd be able to handle the monsterously hard task of tangling with bbcode and arranging posts. Oh and uh, orange is a pretty color.
PS:If I had to recommend one person from those who applied, it would most likely be @TheShooter36
I'm back to support the Orange team, and I'm pretty aware how is it to be a Mod, since got more than a year of experience. Back and applying because I've got some time I can dedicate to the Mod stuff again. And as well, I do mis the FF6600-codes.
As possible comrades of the revolution I do propose:
Venkman - peaceful and gentle boi as I know. Try him out.
Altejago - cuz really, why not?
Implosion - looks to be a cool guy, why not? I don't know him personally, but heard possitive on him. And imma fan of the winchesters.
Pepe (if that lazy one will apply) - Yeah, that one is much responsible.
Shaggy (if he will apply, much more hopes my fd will make him to) - yeah I'm serious, give him a chance. He really diligent, but a little lazy. Anyway, if you force him to do stuff, he'll do best he can.
I would like to apply for the position as well, even tho not even getting contacted for my last 2 attempt i still try, why? cause i have free time, mostly unbiased save for one or two people WHO managed to get on my nerve in the past. can follow things even from phone only sanctioned once so we can say i follow rules pretty well. well whatelse to say? im not gonna bloat and do shameless advertising here so, its up to you lads and lasses to recommend or not recommend me.
1. I didn't really expect to be pointed to the orange place like this. What to say, thanks to who shouted my name out
2. It seems obvious that I would like to try again to become a Mod. And there is a reason for this wish of mine: help people. As many do know, I've been an Angel, and strived to log ingame to help as much as I could, or even help on the forums if I couldn't log. I'm currently an Helper, and I help as I possibly can - but I think that someone reckognized as a veteran player and with an orange name would be more prone to be looked at by the new blood that joins this wonderful community every now and then.
3. If I had to choose someone which would become a mod, I'd say:
@SMI-Great.Fox - he's a veteran and a good guy. I know for sure he'd be a great mod;
@TheShooter36 - even though he says he has free time, he would be a good mod as well;
Sand Spider, Implosion, Venkman, The sovereign, Zyliath and ozoneranger are more than capable to be a Moderator i guess. I don't recognize them to be trolls or arrogant. They are always helpful. They are always calm. That's what this community needs.
If i could pick one or two, i would give Sand Spider and/or Implosion the chance. Both are long enough around here to know how this community works and are very decent guys from what i can say.
1. I'm interested in trying out for the mod team, I've done many things to help, I've done technical support, I've helped run factions, I've got experience in similar positions from other game servers. Also to say that I've got quite a bit of time that I could spend doing moderator tasks as much of the time that I'm available, However, I'm unable to get in-game. I'd love to help this community keep its status and make it a better place. I'd like to put my qualities of being generally unbiased on issues as I've tried to avoid activities that spark controversy and I've done my best to stay out of other factions arguments. I know that I've been the subject of scrutiny in the past, but I feel that adds to my ability to deal with the pressure of being a staff member. I ask that the Staff team of DiscoveryGC give me another shot at being part of the staff team.
2. People that I'd like to be mods:
@SMI-Great.Fox - Great guy, Great leader, Knows the rules well.
@conmann35 - Knows his stuff... Knows how to lead a faction, I feel he would also be good at keeping our forums looking good.
I'm not going to become a mod, as I'm the leader of an official faction and a couple of others, so I just can't afford it to myself. Moreover, I'm not into ooRP thread and, probably, don't know, how this community works.
I give my hope to @SMI-Great.Fox and @Zyliath.
EDITED: Oh, yes, I also forgot @"Caelumaresh (Thomas)". He is a good person, it's sad, that I could never know him better.
Of all the applying and suggested people here I only see two who fit the requirements of being a moderator while fitting into the team of current moderators. Those people are @Sand_Spider and @Implosion.
@Sand_Spider is an active member of the community who logs and flies for fun, stay away from trouble on the forum and has generally shown to rather think twice before writing something while also checking the rules twice before doing something wrong, something that most of the other applicants and suggested people are not known for. He may be in the exact zone between "knowing the community" and "knowing the community too well", which is a position I deem as a good indication for being a good moderator. He's also known for helping newcomers and having the best intentions while not expecting much from others. Very leveled person and all in all a person the community should be happy to have around. My only fear is that becoming a moderator shows him the dark sides of the community and the staff.
@Implosion might not be in the same zone as Purrito, as he knows the community, but matter of factly he is one of the guys who either have only a minimal amount of ooRP grudges and hides those extremely well or he hasn't any at all. He's been always a very cool guy to interact with, no matter on what medium, and I literally can't think of him having made any stupid move on forum or Skype. He seems to me like a person that is careful about what to write while also being a respected person with leader qualities, as proven during his time of leading the Core. While none of the member of the community are purely suited for the job as moderator - there are no perfect people - I think he's one of the guys who should definitely be approached for juicy oranges.
To give another suggestion, I'd like to recommend @"Caelumaresh (Thomas)" for the job. One of his greatest weaknesses is him being naive as hell, but he rather approaches people directly to solve problems than openly on a feedback thread or other drama magnet on forum. He's good at mediating, and I'd rather seem him help the community ooRP instead of trying to solve inRP situations ooRPly that never needed to be solved. He enjoys interacting with anyone of the community and managed very well to hide his ooRP grudges, if there are any (let's be honest, everyone has them). I don't know what his daily schedule is right now, but he seems to be a rather stable person with strong social ambitions. When there is someone who asks for help, he helps. The community needs help, so let him help.
Another great addition to the team would be @Victor Steiner. He's one hell of an ambitious and friendly Australian and an unironically respected person of the community for being often either neutral or friendly. He logs and plays and RPs for fun and delivers high quality content. To be honest, I wouldn't like to see him becoming a moderator because he'd need to divert time for quality interactions into moderation work, and he'd probably see more of the dark sides of the community and staff. Nevertheless I suggest him because I rather have people with backbone, ambitions and integrity to save the place instead of having another questionable member oranged or greened to see them ignoring players and justified criticism.
I also think @Yaoquizque would be a good moderator, since he prefers to only write on forum when it is needed. He's a cool guy to work with on RP projects, ingame or on forum, and he, at least from what I saw, didn't rant about things and people just to vent. I don't know how high his ambitions to provide help to the community in general are, but when I have a problem, I think I'd approach Yao and have a guy who thinks about what to say in his responses.
There are quite a bunch of other people who surely have the qualities of moderation and administration, but I won't recommend them for reasons. I rather have a few pearls for myself than losing them to burn-outs or something worse.
Edit: I just saw @-Rax- offered himself as well. He's a very cool guy and helps newcomers indirectly by not giving them the harshest treatment. You should definitely consider him, as he avoids drama successfully while also not being dumb.
