Her flagship hangs overhead as the shuttle containing her person makes its approach to Murphy Sound. Twenty energy turrets sound off in salute as her ship lands. The on-site security detail stands at attention as the ramp of her shuttle lowers.
Her honour guard, two pairs of ANGEL humanoid automata, fans out ahead of her, towering over the mere mortals the hired administrator has sent, Daumann Shredders carried prominently across their chests.
The meeting room is a well-provisioned affair, Guadalajara leather seats and a snack table bearing Cambridge-grown vegetables, luxury foods for the average paste 'n' gel-fed person. As she enters it, she takes a personal tub of hazelnut spread and gathers unto herself a small platter, all the better to have something to munch upon whilst sitting down. Almost absentedmindedly, she pulls out her cavalry sabre and lays it against the left side of her chair, even as a couple others of the Senior Staff trickle in. However, their guest of honor isn't here just quite yet. But she will be.
The absentminded toothpick architecture she's working on comes crashing to the table as her ANGELs approach. The Messenger, to be specific.
"Her ship approaches, My Lord." Teresa looks up from the ruins of her building, instantly blinking away any look of displeasure or sadness at the loss of the last thirty seconds of tactical toothpick placement may have caused her.
"Ah, thank you. This party can't really start without her now, can it."
What seemed like a standard house call and job request from the initial message she had received, quickly became apparent that this was not the case but something much bigger as an XB-2 with a series of personal modifications made its approach to Murphy Sound.
Proceeding to land as normal except for the garnered attention as if highly expected and under close guard, rather then greeted by a boarding party on stand by as the XB-2 Civilian Bomber, other wise known as the Havok Mk II, came to a stand still with in the hanger as its landing gear touched down was instead greeted by a welcoming party and a security escort to boot.
Before popping the hatch and leaving her ship the young female pilot quickly checked over the equipment on her person, ensuring she had what ever she might need though it didn't seem to entitle to much given the company awaiting her.
Attire... Check, ID's; Check, Pistol...? pausing for a moment before deciding against the option she instead slips blade behind her back before pulling a dark blue colored leather jacket on over her shoulders and concealing said particular item behind her back in the event it would ever be needed, then again it was more or less her cautious behaviour that compelled her to at least bring something where ever she went... as long as she could get away with it of course...
Stepping down and away from her Havok and over to what only she could describe as an awaiting attendant whom immediately speaks up before she has a chance to; "Miss. Katt, if you would Follow me Please", the attendant speaks, spinning on the heel of one foot and begins walking towards a rather important door, the Pilot referred to as simply just 'Katt' for short, proceeds to reluctantly follow the man with not so much as a word but a sigh instead.
Almost like an automated mailing system addressed to all of whom it concerned, a message says that 'Katherine Horizon has Arrived' would then be quickly passed around, 'The hell have i walked into this time?' was the only thing on Katt's mind at the time as she took note of the "security" which only seemed to get worse and heavier the close to where ever it was she was being lead to.
The meeting room is a well-lit affair, with a few responsible-looking types talking with each other about who knows what, one case of a guy whispering God knows what into the ear of a woman slightly taller than him, causing her to blush a bit and giggle, and the main villain Teresa herself, explaining "them's the facts of life, Ray" to an increasingly flustered young man. As soon as she notices the person she went through all this trouble to summon, she immediately stands up and walks confidently over to her.
"Katt, I am so glad you could make it. Trust me, you'll love it. Come on, let's hit the snack bar before the festivities begin." She pauses "We have coffee over there, too, in case you need some." The pilot is led along to the refreshments table, and several minutes of small talk and veggie eating ensue.
"And then I said 'Halite, you and I both know that won't happen.' and he said 'But Marauder, you're just as bad as me.' I mean look at me! I'm way more good-looking than him!" A glance at the clock. "Oh, right, showtime. Take your seat over there."
Teresa saunters back to her chair to put her sabre back at her side and picks up the box she brought with her. Whatever it was Katt was brought here for, it begins now.
"All right, everyone, take your seats." After about eight seconds, everyone's settled, but that couple has taken only one chair, on account of the nice young lady taking the guy's lap. "We have convened today to induct someone into our senior staff. This woman has done a whole lot of messing other people up on our behalf, and now the time has come for her to enjoy greater rewards for her efforts (Katt, now would be a good time for you to stand up). There she is, fellas. The hero of the day.
Come on up here. Don't be shy."
She makes a "come here" gesture. As Katt approaches, she produces the box and opens it, to reveal a sabre similar to the one at her side.
"Katt Horizon, welcome to the Senior Staff." As Katt takes the proffered sword, all other present Senior Staff draw their swords and raise them in salute.
though out the entire process Katt had little idea of what was actually happening nor little to even say, she simply just listened and followed Teresa while her mind was busy taking notes of everything around her, everything she heard and everything she saw, building a mental image of the room in the event she needed to escape from this... sudden spotlight of attention as she pieced it all to together but a single question still remained on her mind 'Why?'... she had already worked out this was a kind of ceremony of some description for her almost the moment she walked into the hall only to be confirmed a bit later but as to why? she had no absolute idea, there was nothing she could think of at all that would warrant this kind of attention, the worst part... she didn't like it ether... but her question would be answered in due time
as the show started and everyone became seated on request Katt watched on only to grit her teeth as it very quickly, no almost immediately became clear the moment the words escaped Teresa's lips and called her up to what would pass for a stage of where Teresa was standing, 'ah sh*t...' she thought as she forced her self to stand and walk over, all eyes were focused on her once again and a few of them... wait, were they... maybe?, Katt was convinced at least two of the men out there had there eyes on her for 'other reasons' which she was prepared to slug anyone for if the topic even roughly came up.
unlike everyone else who had gathered they all seemed to be 'Dressed up' in some way except for katt who was pretty casual as the last thing she expected was a party, "you told me there weren't going to be any camera's" Katt mutters in a low voice to Teresa as she produces the box containing the saber and promptly takes hold of it as it seemed to be what was expected of her... what was said next... well that left her somewhat more dumbfounded then she already was by the reason of why she was chosen at all...
Teresa grins at her victim recently promoted associate. "I lied. Don't forget to smile!" The blinding camera flash only serves to underscore the fact that Teresa really is a dick. But at least history will remember Katt as wearing actually comfortable clothes to public functions. A voice from somewhere in the room shouts out "Speech! Speech!" Aaaaand it's the guy with the nice young lady in his lap, who is flushing in embarrassment at having attention drawn atop them but not really doing anything to stop him. Lovely. Worse still, his smartass tendencies draw out other smartasses and they too take up the chant. Apparently, they desire to hear Katt's "sensuous tones" or something.
"Would you be so kind as to say a few words, Katt? They seem to expect it." Teresa wraps one arm around Katt's shoulders and gestures the photographer to snap another still for posterity. Her voice drops to an even more conspiratorial whisper. "If anyone gives you trouble, you can shank them with your sabre. I'm in your corner." The villainess then lets out a giggle of a kind a schoolgirl would make whilst talking among friends, then stands aside. The floor is Katt's. And those guys staring lustfully at the pilot do so unabated and with the benefit of really good lighting upon her, and her alone. There is no justice, at least not on this world. The whispering between a couple of them about "fairly good-looking prospects" and "seems to be nice enough", along with a "heated" discussion of whether "topside or below" is the better part of something, just barely loud enough for Katt to make out tidbits. It's obvious without Teresa to intimidate them, they are more than willing to goof off.
And then the tentacles descend from the ceiling to have their way with her, oh yes, this will be... Oh what now?
Teresa goes from dazing off to fully alert in under a second. Someone dropped something. And Katt hasn't even cleared her throat to speak.
A . N E W . P L A Y T H I N G .
Y O U . R E A L L Y . L O V E . T H I S . O N E .
the expression cast upon her face changed to that of a false smile while she gritted her teeth and clenched the fist of her 'free hand' which faded into nothingness as someone called for a speech which became an annoying chant to her as the camera goes off and Teresa's own words trying to strengthen the predicament Katt quickly found her self in, Teresa's words were more the fangs of a serpent, if Teresa her self was the serpent then here words were certainly its venomous tiny daggers waiting for a moment to strike.
her eyes glaring like sharp daggers as Teresa steps away after appearing to be forcing her into a corner and a dilemma, the sudden burden from above and the attention placed upon her as an enigmatic pressure which weighed heavily above as if this was but a game to someone and she was but a mere puppet trying to be controlled by the hand above tugging at the strings trying to invoke and influence her actions of what comes next... thoughts collected with in her mind as she stood there for a moment to think.
her mind finally settling on something...
and she Grinned...
"I Aint interested... Nothing more, Nothing less..." Katt Speaks, the grin having faded and replaced by a serious tone with disinterest upon her face as if she was bored and treating the hold thing as some kind of time wasting farce, Her eyes unblinking and staring forth with a cold gaze from her modified purple colored eyes, all followed by her left hand being raised up in front of her as if she were holding something in her grasp like a mic or something similar in size that simply just wasn't there to behind with and proceeding to 'drop it' before lower her arm back down to her side, the gesture being whats referred to as a 'mic drop'
her attention shifting from those seated towards the person standing away to the side, Teresa, "We done here? " is the last thing she says before walking to the side from where she had previously stood on what went for the 'stage ground'
