Mark laughs. "I'm also pretty sure I look better without this thing on my face." he says, holding the eyepatch before sticking it in his pocket. "Yeah good call, you don't want to get on Jason's bad side."
As they make their way back, Birdie looks over and shakes her head. "Ya done showing off? I don't understand why you even bothered hiding it." Noel giggles and looks at Birdie Smugly. "It's a rather sweet thing to do, but I guess you'd have no idea on how to romantic if it bit you on the rear." upon hearing this Seline busts up laughing "You'd know all about that wouldn't you m'dear?""Alright people focus on the matters at hand." Jason says sternly.

"Birdbrain wouldn't know romance if it smacked her with a balloon full of phermones!" Bride says, laughing at and retorting to Seline's statement. Honya looks around to everyone, Alexei looking around, as he was tasked with protecting her while on the lower decks. "If you all do not mind coming with me now that we are all ready to meet with Hanamura-sensei on the upper levels." She says as she walks them to the lift. She approaches the control panel and enters a special code into the panel. Seconds later, the door to the lift shuts and the lift moves upwards, giving a view of each floor as they ascend ever upwards to the Nerve center of the Freeport. The Lift door opens, revealing a lobby. The lobby seems to have been recently renovated, as the scent of fresh paint slightly lingers, mixed with the smell of berries. The front of the lobby reveals a desk with a man and woman manning it, behind them a wall with wooden panels on each side, with a central panel in white with the seal of the Freeport emblazoned on it, with Flags bearing the CoF emblem and the Freeport's seal each to the emblem's side, in front of the wooden panels. Honya heads up to the desk and very briefly speaks to the man at the desk. "These people are here for a meeting with Hanamura-sensei. I'll be taking them there with Alexei-kun." The man nods and hands her a keycard out of a drawer. She takes it and bows to him. "Arigatou gozaimasu." she says, thanking him. "Everyone, on me." She says, calling the group to follow her. Alexei moves first, with Bride behind him, following Honya to the back of the Annex.
I've abandoned Disco for greener pastures. I'm not going to stick around where I feel unwelcome.
Nerva is being much quieter than usual, thought Honya.
Granted, Nerva was not yet fully adapted to all the new sensations that his new body was providing him. One thing he knew for sure, they were going to some area of the Freeport that he never seen until now. Fortunately, one of the new perks of his body, was having a direct link to Unity. During his many humanitarian supply runs, he was managed to get his hands on the Freeport's blueprints.
Hmm...there should not be anything there, it should be an empty area that was not used since my last visit here. On the other hand, Nodoka did mention that she wanted to expand a bit, maybe she is starting with something small. A good idea, considering how the last endeavor ended in a Order + Corsair attack.
This team she gathered here... Harpy Squadron - they seem to just like your normal guns for hire. Last time i've seen someone from HS they were flying in Kusari and Bride was with them. Surely they had something to plan there...
I don't really like this Alexei guy, but it seems that Honya trusts him... nevertheless, he reeks of Spec Ops, most probably ex-SCRA.
Nerva's attention is distracted by all the CoF flags, Someone did some redecoration around here. The mighty CoF... who lost a Freeport to some pirates.
As they continued walking, the group started talking to each other, Nerva and the Harpy Squadron team seemed to find a common subject of discussion. If you wouldn't know, you would say Nerva was a part of their group.....
The group approaches a door labeled "Conference Room A". Honya slides the keycard from below into a reader. A Electronic two-tone beep is heard, followed by the click of the door unlocking. The door then slides open, revealing the room in all its' glory.
The room is spacious, with displays at every seat. The Sun of Omicron delta lights the room, shielded by the windows. Nodoka sits at the head of the conference room, wearing a Kimono similar to that of Honya's, yet in a teal-blue scheme. She pulls away from the tablet to greet everyone. "Please, everyone. Have a seat." She says, beckoning them inside. "I know many of you are waiting for a briefing on the situation, but I would like to show you a token of my appreciation. As such, I have some of the station's finest chefs cook up a meal for all of us to partake in as we get to know each other, as I'm certain that there are people here that are curious about each other." She says, as a group of finely dressed men and women in white outfits proceed into the room. carrying food on their trays. "Ladies and gentlemen, a simple, yet delicious staple of Old Earth Japanese, now Kusari - cuisine, Beef Yakisoba and, to complement it, a hybrid of Libertonian and Kusarian tastes, Tuna-Cream Cheese sushi. I Hope you enjoy it before we begin discussing the topic at hand." Nodoka says, as she bows to the group. Honya and Bride proceed to sit down adjacent to Nodoka at the table. One by one, the food is laid out with speed and precision before the group as they approach the table.

"Look man, I'm just saying that Cutlasses are where it's at. Credit where credit is due, the Roc is a thrifty little payload dropper... But it's speed will only get it so far when dealing with things like an Osiris or Marduk class warform. They have a nasty habit of landing shots, something the Roc can not do is take a hit, the Cutlass Talks the Talk AND Walks the walk." Mark says after a lengthy discussion on ships.
Noel looks at the sushi with slight fear on her face. "I'm... Honored Ms Hanamura, I do love Yakisoba." As the Harpies take their seats Seline tilts her head "If it's all the same to you... I prefer my animals cooked before I go eating them." Birdie giggles at the older women's horror "Meh, when in Rome." she says, taking one of the sushi pieces.

"I Assure you the food is safe to eat. The tuna inside the sushi has been frozen prior to being prepared, as to kill any possible germs or viruses that may be inside. It is safe to eat, I assure you, unless you have an allergy to any of the contents." She says, only to sit down moments later. "I asked for a Sampler.. I guess this will have to do." Alexei says, sitting down. "They didn't have enough supplies to make one, so they made this. I apologize if this is a problem, Alexei." she answers, a little displeased by Alexei's slightly blunt statement. "No, I'm sorry, In hindsight I shouldn't have been so rude. It does smell good, I will say that, it's just I was wanting to explore, as it were." he responds, scratching the back of his head. Nodoka shakes her head. "No, I'm sorry that I didn't bring what you wanted. Remind me next time and I'll have Honya make one for you. She's been learning how to make sushi." she says to him, only for him to look to Honya. "Well, I would like that very much. Thank you." he answers her. Bride speaks up. "Mark, come sit with me!" she says to him, wanting to sit with her partner.

Mark, already making his way to Bride can't help but chuckle. "Way ahead of you babe, Where else would I sit?" Birdie takes a bite of the roll she chose. "Huh, It's something alright... Not bad. Jason smiles at Birdie's bravery "So you are trying to prove your usefulness to the team by being a guinea pig?" In response Birdie merely holds up a middle finger. "It's alright Hanamura, it's a nice thing to do anyway." Seline says eyeing the Sushi. "And besides, might as well give this a try."

Nodoka looks to Seline. "I've tried it myself. some of the chefs are from the sushi restaurant on Concourse B. Their sushi is probably the best you can get in the Omicrons." she says to her. Honya proceeds to prepare her food, and finishes with one of the many traditional customs of Kusari. "Itadakimasu." she says before breaking apart her chopsticks and picking up one of the pieces of Sushi. Bride simply begins to dig in with Mark. Nodoka then turns to Birdie. "I'm glad you like it, Birdie. Didn't expect you to be the adventurous one when it comes to food." she says before digging into her own food. Alexei sits down and begins eating, eyeing Nerva. He turns his gaze to Hanamura. "Nodoka, tell me, how do you know this doctor? He taking care of you?" Nodoka shakes her head, "No. Nerva's a good friend of mine. We met on Gran Can." she says to him, looking to Alexei, and then to Nerva. "We met in a bar, he was curious about my old nanosuit, and I humored him. Been friends ever since. As for you, Alexei - He's a ex-Coalition civilian. Fled to Delta when his parents were killed at a young age. He's been here longer than I have." Nodoka says, speaking briefly of Alexei's past. "He's a trustworthy man, if anything - Hell, he's been maintaining the station for years." she continues before starting to eat the Yakisoba.

"Rule of thumb for me, if it ain't from Malta, I don't really care." Birdie says after finishing the first roll. "I've tried sushi before, just the cream cheese is a little weird to put on it. Like I said, I don't mind. In fact, I like the gesture. But those Libertonians are weird sometimes." After finishing a few bites of the Yakisoba, Mark speaks up. "Yeah those guys have a bad habit of their brains randomly shutting off, but they know how to make ships, I wouldn't mind getting a hold of one those Guardian's or a Liberator to see what makes them tick.""Maybe you can put in a special order for use in the Edge worlds? Then again, with the amount of defectors they're most likely not in the mood to see a Freelancer asking to but one of their valued fighters." Jason says chuckling.

"LIBNAV is really finicky as of late. They refused Aigaion into Liberty because it was a old Rogue Gunboat. I doubt they'll just let you have a Defender. Likewise, Voncloud is going to be wanting the Rathgrith and Dragostea back, but I'm probably going to try and negotiate to keep the latter When my administration ends." She says, taking another bite into the food. "Either way, I have some interesting details about the topic at hand, but we'll get to that later... I hope everyone has had no problems on their way here." she says. Honya looks to Nodoka, somewhat lost in her eyes.
Bride looks to Mark and nods. "I'd love to get my hands on one of their bombers. That thing looks sleek as hell."
