So, here's a question I need your input on.
Considering the player driven roleplay lore in Discovery, do we focus on Artificial Intelligence as a form of existence, or Artificial HUMAN Intelligence?
Gammu AI will come up as examples for sure, but I think I can recall someone having an AI character that was a ''human'' artificial intelligence. Talking as one, behaving as one, but not really being one. We mostly seem to be stuck with the nomad-speech-esque variant of gammu AI, which are surely mechanical beings and have a concept of intelligence that is artificial - but is not quite ''human'' in terms of standards relating to goals, perception of existentialism, religion, motives, ethics, etc.

I think most of AI is human like. Honestly i dont feel Gammu play something really alien. And, im even tried play something like, through full descriptive RP, but still dont feel i have good with that, or players understand what i wanted to show. I think, this is not about speech or something, it should be completely alien in their intentions. This should looks crazy for players, but still logical. Nowaday gammuians have right direction in clear their actions from morale side, i think. But i still cannot say what we all miss, we miss something transcendent in here, something what should be like cherry on pie for alien RP.
As far as I see it the common opinion about that differs very much. Some prefer human AI, while others prefer an alien AI. Same as some prefer a human, while others prefer a cryptic speech.
In fact you have hit a nice niche with the firestalkerdrones. Simple and fun to be honest.
One issue of the Gammu AI is or was the long lack in attention development wise. However over the years it has been difficult for both sides, the AI and the encounter to specify each others RP.
The thing is that the firestalker drones aren't AI.
They are not self aware. It is my attempt at a ''non human'' roleplay on the server without resorting to wolves in rheinland uniforms.

Then what exactly would be the suggestion for ai rp? it must be unique but also understandable as well as.. ofc, fun. im trying around alot to find this cherry ^.^. but also im quite busy irl atm soooo, not much activity anyway atm
Artificial Inteligence could be created with a specific purpose, so it will be bounded by it's own set of protocols and algorythms, or it could be created without any reason at all - an unlimited AI. Yet again, I don't think that Disco lore provides enough freedom for the second option.

I don't think there have been many characters played as human-emulating, humanoid AIs. Sophontic androids, if you will. Mostly because without the occasional obvious hinting as to their true nature, any sufficiently human-like artificial intelligence is going to be indistinguishable from an actual human without some sort of visual or audio cue breaking the illusion.
I really like your Firestalker Drone thing. It's an honestly refreshing departure from the usual Discovery AI RP of beep boop nomads.
Well this is a nice subject...
I was wondering for a long time, long time ago ( ) why Harvesters never got into the game...
It was obvious that ,lore vise their we're big part of Daam K'Vosh story but never introduced here
I know it's a lot of work to do something like that but...it could be interesting, don't you think?
Also, something happening with Daam K'Vosh is a logical evolution of Disco story
Sounds a bit heretic but...never could understand why those two BIG mystery's didn't have part in disco lore...
Well,i guess few years ago we didn't need that big change...but now? What do we have to loose?More players?
Hah,i wish that was true.
May i make a radical suggestion ?
Maybe we could like...just think about it for a while...play with idea of Daam K'Vosh and Harvesters...
See what happens...maybe...sky most certainly wont fall to our heads...
